  • The late writer Wilson Harris (born in New Amsterdam 1921, died UK 2018), spent 15 years working as a surveyor in the interior of British Guiana before migrating to the UK. Filmmaker and doctoral candidate Louis Henderson discusses Harris' early writing about the Canje River and environs. He explains what drew him to this field of study.
This is followed by readings from Harris' early collection of poetry, Eternity to Season and from The Secret Ladder.
This is the Zoom version of a live event hosted at Moray House Trust in November 2023.
