How to crochet a rose
I wanted to find something to gift my partner for valentines that wasn't the cliché box of chocolates or flower that withers in 2 days and this is perfect! Thank you so much :)
is it doable? i have only crocheted one time and don’t really know how to do anything
@@snaillord9516 yes! i've crocheted a few stuff but this was really easy :D
@@rey9560 thank you!!!
I’m going crazy lol. What size yarn do I need. I’m not familiar with many things crochet. I’m just beginning to follow patterns. I get she is using DK 100% acrylic yarn but is there a particular size and amount?? Help
@@vendingmachine3358 I would think worsted weight, #4...
Petals: Small (S), Medium (M), & Large (L)
S: R1-9
M: R1-10
L: R1-11
Rose bud = 3 S petals
Semi-open rose = 3 S + 3 M petals
Fully open rose = 3 S + 3 M + 3 L petals

R2: 6inc
R3: (sc, inc) all around
R4: (2sc, inc) all around

R7: 10sc, (inc, 4sc) x 3, inc, 10 sc

R11: 12sc, (inc, 4sc) x 6, inc, 12sc
*Add ch 3, 3 tc before FO for each petal (all sizes)

Make a loop, insert wire into loop, work into the wire.
R1: 14sc
R2: *turn, you still still work along the wire* 2hdc, 9dc, 2hdc, bend the wire, 1sc, ch2, 1sc on same st,
*Still on R2. You will now be working on top of the 14sc of R1* cover the bent wire with 2hdc, 9dc, 2hdc
R3: (Make a loop on next stitch. You now have 2 loops on hook, twist both loops before yarning over and pull through) do this all around. Sl St and FO.
Wrap remaining yarn on wire. To make a branch of leaves, twist three leaves together
Underside of petals
R1: Ch7, sl st to first st
R2: (sc, inc) all around

You are a hero. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Thank you so much,Sara saved me soo much time!
life saver 🙏🙏
I would add a revision as to not add 3 ch and 3tc to end of each petal. This would make the bulb underneath the petals very bulky as she mentions in her 1:3 video. She actually added 2ch and 2tc only to *one* of the three medium petals and to *all* large petals, but *none* to the small petals. Watch her 1:3 video to see how slim her version is and how bulky the version is if you make the trebles at the end of all petals.
I fucking love u
The x and v makes so much sense now after your explanation . After in seeing so many crochet patterns with x and v in other languages, I had no idea what it meant!
I use 2.0mm and it works for me, I think your English is perfect and I love listening to you showing Thanks so much for again doing this in English for us.
Hello there how're you
I’ve been crocheting about 2 weeks and I’m still new to it but I’ve made a couple things I’m very proud of. The only thing is I’ve always struggled with the magic circle, because whenever I pulled the tail to close, it would never fully close and/or it would tighten ALL the stitches are too much for me to work. I watched SO many videos and no matter what I did it was always the same. This is the only one that worked beautifully. I’ve literally just finished making only the magic circle and I pulled the tail and it closed easily and seamlessly and I’m so so excited. Thank you SO much! Even if I don’t learn anything else, that singular help with the magic circle just changed the game for me. Bless
Never mind I spoke too soon I didn’t pull the two pieces like she did I just pulled the tail and realized later there was some loose string and now I’ve tried 7 times the way she is pulling at them trying to figure which is the right one and it doesn’t work at all. Neither of them do anything out make a tight knot. This is frustrating.
Sorry you're having some difficulties
Hands down the best magic ring tutorial I've ever seen!
Actually, that looked fairly difficult and cumbersome! I wrap the tail under to over above my first knuckle, then around again to under it, slip the hook under the nearest loop (to fingertip), hook the second loop then pull it out from under. When I'm done with however many stitches need to be in the loop, I only need to pull the tail to close the circle.
This is wonderful! Your speech is very gentle and very clear, your movements are very precise and easy to follow, and I really appreciate that you took your time and went through every row and showed every code over and over. No short cuts, no confusion. Beautiful! Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!
you prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow forgot my login password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Marcus Jaxson instablaster =)
@Garrett Mateo i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out now.
Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Garrett Mateo it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my ass!
@Marcus Jaxson glad I could help xD
your English is AMAZING! it is better than most of the native English speakers I have come across. Thanks so much for taking the time you show us your beautiful gift.
Thank you very much. You're very kind.
I am making these into a bouquet for my mom's 50th birthday. Due to the pandemic, I am skeptic of buying real flowers so I'll just make one myself :)
Thanks for the tutorial. Your English sounds lovely.
These roses are so beautiful and your voice is very soothing~
Has made 5 sets of rose petals using aunt Lydia size 3 thread and as well as size 10 thread. I still find this the best rose tutorial out there. You've made this so easy to follow. But hot dam takes me 30 minutes for 1 petal hahaha. I've also made some babays breath tonadd to the roses. Thank you for a well done tutorial.
You're speaking English very well, for it not being your first language. The thing you were holding in your hand at 1:30 is what I learned to call a stitch marker (you couldn't seem to think of the word, so I figured I may as well tell you in just in case) The roses are very lovely, and I think I'll probably make a bouquet of them at some point from your tutorial!
Thank you. The words slip my mind sometimes.

Hey, it happens to me too and I've been speaking English my whole life. I think it's probably normal. I really love this tutorial ^.^
That's very kind. I wish you all the success with your bouquet.
Your english is fine and your work is beautiful
Sweetpence Hart
Can follow you easerly, love yr desines, thanks,im a beginner
Your habit is a stitch marker! I don't speak English as my first language, but I think crochet is a universal language. Also I have the same habit, no matter if I knit normal crochet or spiral crochet. I love your work, excellent rose.
I agree. Line 7 isn’t correct. When you finish line 6 you have 36 stitches and if I follow your 10x, (v, 4x) *3, 10x then I will have two stitches left before I arrive at my stitch marker.
I love your voice it’s so calming. I watched this video two times before starting my rose
You're so kind. Thank you very much
this is the best crochet rose ever. thank you,. all your flowers is like real flower
Hello Katerina, how're you doing today....
Speaking several languages myself .. I loved the way you explained it. Your English was great! And the way you set out the grid was a fantastic idea. Thank you so much.
Oh that's so kind. Thank you very much. Thank you for taking the time to comment as well.
Ive made the fully open flower (9 petals 3 of each size) with less than a 100g ball of wool. Hopefully this helps others with knowing much wool to use
Thank you so much for this tutorial; it has helped create the most beautiful Mother’s Day gift.
You are so welcome. I'm glad you found it useful.
Ok I have to say your magic ring is the easiest so far for me. I’ve been having a serious amount of problems doing the magic ring and I’ve been crocheting for about five years now but your video makes it really easy and I now know how to do it thank you I appreciate it
Thank you so much for watching my videos.
Magnificent, I will make these for my Dad's monument in my living room. Thank you so much. 😂😘😍👍🏽💕🌹🌺🇵🇷🇺🇲❤️
my mother has asked if we can make centre pieces for her wedding and this tut is definitely going to help me
Best of luck
I truly like this rose. It's pretty and very easy. I'm going to use it for a granny square Afghan that I'm making for my mother. Thank you so much.

Thank you ❤SO MUCH❣️❣️ I was about to give up until I read your explanation 💃🏾💃🏾
@@deborahdelynnwilson My pleasure! It's a wonderful pattern.
I just wanted to give you a compliment I thank you speak English very well
I made this fully petals rose and the look out is really awesome thak you for sharing beautiful video and easy way to understand
I'm always amazed by people who speak more than one language your accent is beautiful and you speak very well I've always wanted to learn Spanish I know a little but I hope one day I speak Spanish as well as you do English 😊 ty for the video it was super helpful
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! Your voice is smooth and easy to understand, and the pattern and finished item itself is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your art and talent with us!
Your English is every good 😊
Thank you so much . So easy to follow and turns out beautiful
So I figured out the rest of the Instructions: by the start of step 7 you should have 36 stitches on the outer perimeter, this is really important. Step 7 onward differs because it has stitch by stitch instructions instead of a repeating pattern. This means that upon starting you're going to do 10x stitches. Then (v, 4x) one increase and 4 stitches, but do this again 2 more times. After that do one v increase and then 10x stitches.
THANK YOU I WAS SO CONFUSED!!
so, in the step 7 will be: 10x (v,4x) v, 4x (2 times) and then v and 10x stiches?
I'm doing the smallest one first and got through row 9 but I don't have the thingy sticking off the one side, where are the instructions for that?
@🌸Sakura Wulf to make the little "Tab" you slip stitch into the next stitch, ch 5, yarn over 2x, do triple crochet in same stitch, yarn over 2x, do triple crochet in next stitch. Cut yarn and pull tail through. (She shows this step in video 1:3)
Since her website is no longer available (therefore the written pattern is not available) I am going through her videos and writing out the pattern myself.
@@RazorbackGirl83 hii! can you explain to me the things inside the parenthesis 😭😭😭😭

I too use a stitch marker when I crochet. Thank you for the videos.
Love your video and flowers. Thanks for teaching how to read your chart.
Ms. Crafty, your English is fine, your nice clear directions are even finer, and your gorgeous roses are the finest of all. I'd like to know if you or anyone else has successfully used this pattern with crochet thread. . Before I spend the time making the roses with thread, I thought I'd ask you if you know if your pattern works with thread. (These roses are so gorgeous, if I can't make them with thread, I'm going to make them with yarn which I don't normally use. GORGEOUS !)
+Annie Keller Im doing the same thing in thread i use size 3 thread satin pettra thread? my suggestion is to double up on the amount of thread so 200g of thread should be enough.. i only have 4 ply yarn so im thining that would b e to thick looking.
+Annie Keller since i ran out of size 3 white thread i have some size 10 thread that now im attempting to do lol maybe a tad smaller im also using 2.10 mm hook.
I like your tutorial. the way you teach the viewers hehe thank you so much sis!
Thank you! 😃
Thank you for the amazing pattern
I think your english is great! I love the rose, so beautiful. Thank you for your video.

You're more than welcome. Thank you for watching my videos
You're english is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing the video with us and the effort of learning english. :-)
Thank you so much for your kind words. Best of luck with your roses.
If you make your magic ring a little bigger, you can then gently pull on the tail a bit to see which is the right string to pull on rather than guessing which one is the correct one to pull first. :)
То что Вы создаёте просто супер! Я хоть и не понимаю по английски,но даже мне понятно как все детали вяжутся.Спасибо Вам огромное!
