If they made the clutch case 2 inches wider you wouldn't need to remove the secondary at all. Thank you design engineers for not caring at all about difficulty of repair. You guys are the best. 🙄
What an absolutely excellent video. You should get some kind of reward/recognition for this. It's the gold standard for how UA-cam "how to" videos should be done.
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Carl Joshua Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thank you. Yes sir, unfortunately the secondary has to come out because there is not enough space between the secondary and the clutch housing to slide the belt through.
Should the shaft for the secondary clutch move in and out inside the case or do I have a problem? I can move the shaft in and out close to half an inch.
The Kawasaki Mule can be a bear to work on. You may want to have a dealer take a look at it in order to prevent damaging something that'll cost more in the long run!
Typically, this will clear on its own once it has been properly serviced. Some units will need to travel X amount of miles/hours before it shuts off. You may contact a Kawasaki dealership for more info.
I have a mule 2016 600 2wheel drive .My clutch is on passenger side of mule.I removed bolts on primary and secondary .But the clothes want come off, can you help.
This is a great video, and I greatly appreciate the efforts in making this video! Just one small, suggestion. I would change the name to specify which year, model Mule, and fuel type, being worked on. I suspect the Mule in the video is something like the Mule PRO-FXT (year ?). In contrast, the gasoline powered Kawasaki KAF620 Mule 4010 4x4 (2009-2023) has a different primary clutch and secondary clutch, and the diesel version is different as well. My two bits, unsolicited.
Is this something you encountered? We did not remove the roof or rear windshield on our Mule, but our components are SuperATV brand which could possibly make a difference.
@@SuperATVMedia No , the gal clearly states at 20 seconds into the video that; "you might have to remove the roof or the windshield" as she was explaining how to access the drive belt . That's what I wasw talking about. Thanks-
The secondary clutch sits too close to the inside of the clutch housing to be able to pull the belt off on this particular unit. Some units may sit out wider to where you can leave the secondary in place.
@@tbashin3977 I think the belt changes out pretty much the same but the 610 is pretty cramped to work on I sold mine and bought a new one like in the video there is alot more room to work around the motor on it.
Short, sweet, and to the point. Thank you for an excellent video without wasted time.
Thanks Howard.

Appreciate the quality of your post production work, makes it clearer
Thanks for the feedback!
Can you tell me what size (3) bolts do you use on the secondary clutch to help it from not moving? Thanks!
best looking mechanic ive ever seen!❤

It definitely could be easier!
Awesome job of explaining how to do it.
For everyone wondering what size bolts to hold the secondary…you can use the 3 bolts from the primary clutch holder.
Thanks for the info!

@Carl Joshua It worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
What size bolts are needed to thread into the secondary??
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Outstanding video! Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for the upload. We have a mule at our golf club and the video has been a huge help.
Your welcome, we love to share knowledge and helpful tips to our off-road family. Thanks for the comment!
Great video, no mess no fuss just the essentials. Nicely done.
Thanks for watching Pete!
Real informative and this lady does a great video.
excellent work you make it look to easy
Thank you for the feedback! This one is a little trickier than most belt changes.
Hi-great video. Did you already remove a plate and bolts on the secondary clutch before you took out the reverse thread bolt?
Outstanding job, young lady!
EXCELLENT walk through.
Great video. You make it look easy. What size are the bolts you used to remove the secondary clutch?
I guess my question isn’t getting answered any time soon either. Mine as well unsubscribe
Why did you loosen the secondary clutch bolt twice? And if it’s reverse thread why were you holding it in the position of normal thread?
First attempt wasn't enough to loosen the bolt. Second attempt was a success.
Thank you, you made it look easy. Same procedure for a Mule 4010 4X4?
you will need a special tool for 4010 4x4
Is there any adjustment to the belt? Mine is squealing. Can it be tightened or should I just replace?
Great video and explanation.
Only question I have is... do we need to remove the secondary clutch to put belt on?
Thank you.
Yes sir, unfortunately the secondary has to come out because there is not enough space between the secondary and the clutch housing to slide the belt through.
Mmmmm what bolt size to remove 2nd clutch?
Very good young lady. Im curious to know what size tires are those and does this Mule have a lift kit?
Should the shaft for the secondary clutch move in and out inside the case or do I have a problem? I can move the shaft in and out close to half an inch.
Excellent! Thank you Christen.
This mule is has mine has a second cover for the belt my first belt change any ideas as think maybe 3 hands are needed ?but thank you .
You may contact a Kawasaki dealership or check out the machine's owners manual for more info.
Thank you thank you thank you. Great video
Great video and great tips for using tools over brawn where needed…and some of us need that
Great how to video!
Thanks Lisa!
Where can I get. a diagram of how to wire a starter on a 2006 kawasaki diesel 3010 mule.
my secondary is not coming off, even with a gear puller. Does this mean I am working on a non-do-it-yourself project?

Great job. Thanks
Hi, can you tell me how to reset the service due light on a mule 610?
Typically, this will clear on its own once it has been properly serviced. Some units will need to travel X amount of miles/hours before it shuts off. You may contact a Kawasaki dealership for more info.

I am sorry it should be clutch not cloths
Are all the mules reverse threaded?
From our experience, yes, but we have not had all models through here. I'd recommend contacting a dealership for info on your specific model.
Is that the same or similar for my 2003 3010 mule?
Similar procedure!

Serious question: Why might you have to remove the roof or the windshield to take the drive belt off? Great video otherwise...

Title of video says inspect also yet there was nothing about belt tolerance or specification! I need this information!
You will need to reach out to your dealership or locate that info in your owners manual for your exact model.
