Woohoo hopefully it’s Getting you excited for then 😍 she’s just the best we love the whole fam, they really became like family after 5 weeks sailing together 😆
Great video and cool to see some of the places we visited when sailing Croatia in late October, early November 2022. We ended up going with the Savvy-Navvy + Navily apps instead of Navionics, and they worked very well in the area.
Hey Christian 😊 oh awesome, glad you enjoyed and brought back some memories for you 😍 I hadn’t even heard of it but someone else has also mentioned it, so we’ll def have a look into that, thanks for the tip 😄
Navionics does the same thing with Sweden and Denmark which are not included in the free trial. Our boat is in a harbour on the Finnish and Swedish border so typical sailing there you will be crossing the border multiple times per day. Sure af it would not work as soon as your device jumped to the Swedish network and that happens often when you are still in Finland. Anyways, we have a plotter but just wanted to test out Navionics last summer as a back up...
Ah how frustrating that must be!! Yeah we also have our plotter but in all honesty we find navionics much easier to use that our plotter, hopefully we will get better with our chart plotter though. Great to have both hey
Getting your grove on now guys. The eps have a really nice flow to them. Wondering if the plan to sail to do a pac crossing back to Aus? If so, just shout if u need crew for any legs 😊
Hey Lucas, thanks so much, glad you’re noticing a difference, been doing more voiceovers etc. we would love to get back to Australia eventually or Atleast NZ. We plan to cross the Atlantic end of this year and I guess we’ll go from there 😊 add us on Instagram @leading.the.escapade if you have it, and we can keep in touch on there 😆
Lovely and beautiful video. I just got my sailing license in Croatia, and plan to do a sailing trip along the islands. Just one tip for the drone footages, it's better to install a ND filter on the drone camera, which can ease the over-exposure problem when the sun is too bright, especially in shiny summer days;-)
Hey Weiheng 😆 thanks so much! We hope you enjoy some sailing in Croatia, perfect place to start your journey, so many islands and great sailing conditions around there 😍 one thing we really noticed is the swell is always pretty nice Thanks for the tip, we already have ND filters for the drone, they’re definitely a must have 😆 although our drone is getting pretty old now, so it would be great to get a new one hopefully this year sometime. Our battery has swelled up so it’s on the way out 😬
Hey Chase 😄 thanks so much! Thanks for following our journey 😁 since we started we’ve used a DSLR camera but that didn’t last long as our gimbal broke, so was mostly go pro in the past and now the past couple of episodes is actually with an iPhone 13 pro believe it or not 😅 and we also have a DJI mavic pro 1 drone 😊
Thank you again for bringing us on your adventures! Love the content and filmography. You guys do a great job! Craig (Rochester, NY). Have you ever considered the great lakes (northeast USA) journey? It would be cool to "do-over" some earliest explorers (as long as safe)!
Hey Craig😊 thanks so much!! Thanks for following our adventures too 😁 we never have I guess as we’re still quiet far from that area but we plan to cross the Atlantic beginning of 2024 so I guess once we get there we’ll plan what’s next after the Caribbean 😄 we’ll have to have a look into it 😇
Yeah we’re here now currently as our episodes are about 4 months behind 😄 so we’ll be catching up on episodes while we’re back and we’ll just film a few bits and pieces when we do fun stuff haha
Realy nice to see it all again. But please dont complaint about the several costs which are high. You sit on the front raw! Accept it and think on all those people who cant afort it to travel on a very nice Sailing ship.
Being almost a local to sailing in Dalmatia I fully support Escapade's criticism of Garmin's price policy (Navionics is part of the Garmin empire). It is ridiculous! Why should anyone accept such a policy just because they belong to the target group of the product??
You share your opinion while telling the creators they can't share their opinions. Really! There are always people who have more and those who have less. That doesn't mean a person can't share their opinion or has to be silenced.
@@kyles4560 So sorry - I obviously failed to make myself understood. Seems to highlight my believe that the default mode of communication is misunderstanding…
Hey Winnie, I think kyle’s reply is to the comment above your’s. He is agreeing with you 😊 yeah it doesn’t make sense about the navionics does it, interesting to know they are part of Garmin too, I did not know that 😯 thanks Winnie 😄
Thanks Victor. We’re simply complaining because we don’t have a lot of money and can’t afford to throw money at everything that comes our way. believe it or not, it’s actually much cheaper for us to live this lifestyle and live on a boat, than to to live in Australia. our boat cost us less than half the price of the Cheapest apartment you can find in Oz, this isn’t a holiday, yes we get to travel and move around each day but this is how we decide to live. I totally understand of course there is always people less fortunate but I have to agree with Kyle, it doesn’t mean we’re never aloud to voice our opinion that something is expensive. We’re just like everybody else and we’re far from rich 🙂
What?! Are you really coming here telling me that? 🤣🤣 also if you want to have a go at me for saying something ‘wrong’ maybe you should check your spelling too The sea is still ‘water’

Loved it. What time of year was this filmed?
Thanks Tim 😄 this would’ve been late august or early September last year 😃
I really enjoy this channel, thanks for the great content. May I ask what type of camera you use?

Hello
Sibenik pronounced shibenik guys
Hahah yep found that out not long after filming the area 😂
No, Sebenico. All dalmatian towns had Italian names.

Dalmazia, Repubblica di Venezia
It is SEA, not water. Water you can srink, and frogs live in water!
What?! Are you really coming here telling me that? 🤣🤣 also if you want to have a go at me for saying something ‘wrong’ maybe you should check your spelling too
The sea is still ‘water’
