    REALLY!?? I have never had the privilege of seeing her live, but from seeing her via video it would seem to me that even if she had no ballon and no extension on a given day her port de bras would still be show-worthy.

    No, it's Yablochko (Little Apple), the Russian Sailor's Dance, from the Red Poppy by Reinhold Gliere.
    The dancing is just great!

    I like how in the first couple he just picks up and walks off like it's nothing. He's either incredibly strong or she weighs just left of nothing. Way cool though!

    Does anyone else feel like Irina Golub and Igor Kolb were a little late on their entrance?

  • @al1936ful
    @al1936ful 14 років тому

    @kfmcmahon The dance they are all performing is the Russian Sailor's Dance by Gliere, from his ballet "The Red Poppy", but they are all still wearing the costumes of the different ballets that they performed in. I don't know all of them, but I do know that Irina Golub is wearing the costume (and wig?) she uses in "The Spectre of the Rose". To definitely know all of them, you'd have to see the whole program, and it hasn't been posted.

    it's not Glinka. Music (based on folk chastushkas) was written by Gliere for the Red Poppy ballet.
