love Bad Religion, i'm glad they're still a band after 30 years. they're still true to their music, they didn't change to make more miney. they played what the y wanted people to hear and what they love. Bad Religion will always be one of my favorite bands

I saw them live at area 4 festival 2008 . they started with "new dark ages" and I thought, that this must be the greatest punkband in the world, because their was so much power behind them. Usually the fans make one band last but bad religion makes the fans last.
FINALLY they're doing some acoustic stuff! :) I really, really love this band, but I never liked it that all their songs sound so much the same. But if you play their music with just basic chords on an acoustic guitar, you immediately know that some of their songs are basically ment to be played unplugged, imho. You can also hear that on the American Lesion LP - hard and fast electric guitars just don't fit "Cease" that well, for exaple. Anyway, Im really looking forward to their Europe tour. :)
alot of blink 182 haters here but after Nirvana we had no choice but to lighten up and blink 182 did exactly that they lifted the weight of this world off kids shoulders for a little bit, remember them running down the street naked, that made me think "yeah who gives a crap" they seem to be an easy target for alot of people to bash, but they were necessary, i don't care what you say, without them i wouldn't have traveled down the punk road and to find little gems like Bad religion.
BR's academic/romantic geekiness bores me. "Religion's just synthetic frippery. Unnecessary, in our expanding global cultural effeciency." Those lines can't compare with the excitement of: "Chewing out a rhythm on my bubble-gum. The sun is out and I want some."
@hotpokets182 Yeah, I love both for different reasons. It's kinda like comparing apples and oranges - sometimes I'm in a BR mood, and sometimes I'm in a NOFX mood. Way different styles, but each awesome in their own right.
@squidman86 Greg Graffin has said that most BR songs are written either on acoustic guitar or on piano, so this is actually probably the closest to the songs' original form.
