Rohit, Dhawan, etc, none of them have performed in tests down under, or on English pitches for that matter. Virat scored as many hundreds on Eng and Aus tour because that's what he is capable of. You should not belittle this hard work, his achievements by saying that he had support. What you are saying is fundamentally wrong anyway. Because he didn't have much support in Tests.
Anyway, coming back to Babar. I believe he has what it takes to succeed on Aus and English pitches. But it's challenging, you know that. One thing we can agree on is, Babar vs Cummins & Stark is gonna be exciting to watch

Since then his average in tests has improved from 35 to 42 now. I rate him better than many Indian batsmen. Except for Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli, I feel most of our players are highly overpaid and extremely overrated.
