      Peoples without electronic skills doesn't need schematic or circuit diagram to build this circuit, instead peaople with electronic skills can draw schematic diagram.

    Finally! A neat circuit for a running light! Thanks! Now I just have to change it a bit. I want to surprise my daughter with a magic wand. It will be partly made of plastic and partly made of wood. It will have a single button. If you press this, the running light starts and the tip lights up. However, I will only use 3 LEDs and then something like a strip of hot glue stick as a diffuser so that it is visible as a rising light ("magic energy") and not as individual LEDs. You wouldn't believe how long I had to look for a usable and neat circuit... Now I just have to reduce it to at best 3V (button batteries) and 3 LEDs and make the length as compact as possible so that it fits into the branch. that the template for the staff fits. The branch is cool! It is slightly thicker at the handle than at the tip and especially the first 5-6 cm are curved and the rest is straight. The stick is approximately 15 cm long. That will be cool! Thanks!

    Brilliant, If i wanted it to work as sections of 4 instead of sections of 3 can i just do this by adding one more set of components then looping the led's in 4's not 3's?

      If you make 4 it will looks like 2 transistors (flip-flop).

      If you make 4, 6, 8, etc, Transistors, the result of light movement looks like 2 Transitors (flip-flop).
      If you make 5, 7, 9, etc, Transistors the result of light movement looks like 3 Transitors (chaser).

    I tried making a copy on a bread board, and fired it up, all the lights came on. I can't tell for sure where you connected the middle lead ( yellow wire) from the potentiometer, as well I'm uncertain where you connected the pos of the LEDs. It took some time to assemble, and am calling it a day. I'll mess with it some more tomorrow.
    I really like the result you achieved, and I hope to have a working copy soon.

      It will indeed be easier if you have electronic skills, so you must really try hard to succeed, and you need to remember a small mistake can be fatal.

      so you need be careful, please pay attention to EBC transistor pins, sometimes the different manufacturing of transistor is a different EBC position.

      @@moristo I purchased 30 of them , and double checked online. E,B,C. I make things with them all the time. I can't waite to get this working, LEDs are Red, White, Blue, Red White Blue, ect. 15 total.
      I did not have 560 ohm resistor, I combined 2, 270 ohm resistors, = 540 ohm. That should still work. ??

      2 x 270 ohm in serie connection (not paralel) will work, also you can use 470 ohm.

      You can use C945 or C1815 but the pin structure is ECB (not EBC like the transistors pin in this video).

      Gracias amigo, nunca lo he probado con 5 voltios, pero puede agregar un circuito de aumento de voltaje para que 5 voltios se conviertan en 12 voltios.

      Potentiometer function here as a speed controller.
      Yes, sure you can make it without potentiometer, but if you make it without potentiometer you will lose that function.

    hello ,good job ,i have no electronic skill but easy for me to do.I need 1 Amp output for each led ,does it have 1 amp?If not what must I do?,thank you

      Each channel on this circuit is only around 0.02 A, I already test with 45 LED bulbs (15 for each).
      If you want this circuit works in 1A or above, you have to add 3 pcs Transistor or 3 pcs Relay.

      Sisa menambahkan penaik tegangan 3 volt ke 9 volt atau 12 volt DC maka rangkaian ini akan bekerja pada tegangan 3 volt.

      Sir why can't you please give the printed circuit diagrams for all these circuits wether it's inverter or LED chaser power amplifiers etc etc. Seeing this it's very difficult to make these circuits. Its like closing your eyes and assembling a circuit. If you can give drawn circuit diagrams we can print the circuit by net and assemble it with out further difficulties.
      Im a regular efy Electronics For You reader. In that they put lot of printed circuit diagrams so that we can do the circuits with out any difficulties

      I designed my video to be useful for everyone (including those who do not have electronics skills). They do not nedd circuit diagram, they only need to write the text that appears together with each component to be used, then provide it, then watch again to follow how to make it.
      If you have electronic skills then you can draw the circuit diagram yourself while watching.

    i have lots of 690 ohm resistors instead of 4700 or 580 shown in the video will putting them in series make up 4.7k and can 690 be used in place of 580ohm

      Sure you can do it, but the result with 4 transistors will looks like 2 transistors (flip-flop) and 5 transistors will looks like 3 transistors (just like in the video).

      Sure, you can use 3.7 volt battery with DC to DC step up converter to make 3.7 volt into 12 volt.

    If someone was into modeling landscapes for model railroads etc, and wanted to make an airport and runway as part of the modeled landscape, this would work good for the "Rabbit" sequenced flashers that the runway approach lighting systems use. Five micro, white LED's for MALSF and MALSR, eight for SSALR and SSAL, and fifteen for ALSF-1 and ALSF-2.

      Sin cambiar los valores de los componentes, he probado este circuito con 45 LED. Si el canal (transistor) que crea es 4 o 6 u 8, etc., entonces el resultado es el mismo que el de los 2 transistores. Si obtiene 5 o 7 o 9, etc., el resultado es el mismo que el de los 3 transistores.

    I soldered everything to a strippboard. Works for me also with S9014, had no S9013! If I use 30-50 LEDs, would you prefer to resist 1Watt or 2Watt 560ohm? Thank you and best regards to Indonesia

      4 channels result is same with 2 channels (flip-flop), 5 channels is same to 3 channels chaser.
