Camper Trailer of the Year Review
• Offline Domino | Campe...
One of the best walk through vids I’ve seen and probably sold us on a Domino. Thanks so much for your efforts.
thx Jodie, hats off to Sam from Offline campers who took us through when it wasn't scheduled at all and showed us all the thought that'd gone into the design. They're a great family business.
Great Job being bold and taking the opportunity! It's a great design. Cheers!
Thx mate, I love showcasing great Aussie products when I can and the guys at Offline were really accommodating.
Fantastic video, thank you for sharing and giving us a good run through on the Domino along with the setup and packup. Greatly appreciated!
Thx Neil glad you enjoyed it. There weren't any full walk through videos I could find and Sam from Offline was kind enough to do a full walk through for us on the spot. For me there's a lot to like here, it's priced similar to high end aussie made tear drops but offers so much more.
Well done, I happened to see this by accident. Aren't Aussies great at R&D and problem solving? Some terrific engineering in these camper trailers that resolves annoyances with the main stream local (generically safe) design with foreign production. I'm a fan for sure. Thanks for sharing. Well done.
Thx mate couldn't agree more, lots of innovation here by Sam and the team at Offline. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video and thanks for taking the time to make it. Time will tell how the Domino performs in the Aussie outback. The Track Trailer Tvan which the Domino has taken a lot ideas from (and possibly improved upon)has proven itself . Did you have a look at one before looking at the Domino?
Thx Josh their first model was a standard hard floor rear fold. The striker i think. Sam has been using that personally for 4yrs now I think.
But yes true test will be customers who will make mistakes and test it well
hard to find something completely Aussie made with all the perks and whistles for off road exploring- keen to see it perform in heavy rain in camping mode
I am sure Sam and the team have tested that. Good video on their channel of ther Raker awning in the rain
can you sleep with the camper all closed up in quick set up mode?
Yes that's exactly the idea. you open the back doors climb in and can close them from the inside.
Nice looking trailer but unfortunately not much storage at all. For the cost I would expect more, where do you put your table and chairs ?etc… big bulky items?
Hey Chris, fair enough point every camper has some compromises. For this one, they can supply a Darche table that fits in the storage cupboard on the side, was shown but only briefly in the video. Bulky items like chairs I think would have to go in the storage box at the front which is either 300L or 400L.
Really bulky items you could throw on the bed inside, that said it would then take away from the travel mode sleeping as you'd need to remove them to sleep inside.
Great camper for offroading but here’s the thing: for $55,000 (which is an aweful lot of money), you have to set up a lot of things, shower, toilet, then you still don’t have a table or dinette table to sit at. For the same amount of money, you can get a pop top and you have a cooktop and fridge inside and you are protected from the elements. If it was $30,000 (which I believe is the realistic price), I would jump on this nifty little camper. Especially when people end up using these campers maybe max 4 weeks a year….
definitely horses for courses with this one. The departure angle is so much better than many other campers, if you move a lot (like I do) the overnight or travel mode is pretty awesome.
It's all aussie made too, you'd never get something like this aussie made for $30k - lot at what Patriot's cost...
But yes you can get a forward fold with a dinette for $30k or less if that suits.
So this the winner of Camper trailer of the year 2022?
Hi John, this was filmed back in June when I was there, didn't realise they'd recently taken out CTOY, yes same model. Thx for the heads up.
Great idea. Shame the video was terrible. Way too much background noise.
Yes couldn't really ask them to shut the factory down. Agree audio was terrible with the background noise.
Hell know
Not for you?
Know ? 🤡🤡🤡
@@chrisjones1864 I’m not sure he nose what know to use when he said noe 😂
Don’t take me wrong, I like your trailer, but I missed so much details. Put your microphone on the shirt, close to your mouth. Would be easier after effects to eliminate the background. Noise.
Check out the offline camper youtube channel they have a number of video's on this now up on their channel that aren't filmed at their factory.
I wish we could get these in the USA. why do American trailers have to be such crap?
The Offline Camper guys would probably ship you one but it'd likely be cost prohibitive! From seeing reports of the big shows in the US you seem to have huge choice over there?
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus all of the choices that are good over here are imported from other countries. there's only a few good ones made in America. imperial outdoors, bean trailer, escapod and a couple of others. lucky we can get kimberley, bruder, AOR, lifestyles campers, conquorer, in USA
@@semorebutts3613 interesting to know, assumed the US made market was pretty strong. I guess that's why patriot have been able to do pretty well over there as well.
Terrible sound. I can’t understand what they saying
yeah was recorded in their factory. It's not great sorry. but couldn't really ask them to shut the factory down.
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus microphone?
@@frtforet3418 yes there was a microphone.
Several complaints here…too much back ground noise! It’s hard to hear and understand you. Put in the metric conversion to your measurements. Not my fault the U.S. didn’t teach metrics in school.
Thx Vincent, agree, background noise is terrible, did the best with the audio we had, we're not professionals, in fact at this time the channel's not even monetised in anyway.
Not sure exactly what measurements you mean, but this is an Aussie built camper, in South Australia nothing to do with the US. Measurements quoted were as provided to us.
It's a great camper that's recently won Camper Trailer of the Year.
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus
I like the camper and I’m looking to buy an RV. My apologies on the metrics.
