Collection of all the promotional material I managed to find for what could be called one of the greatest sequels of all time. While I still prefer the original movie over this one (potential hot take, I don't know), I can't deny that this movie does everything a great sequel does right: advances the story in a natural way, doesn't feel like a retread, and tops it all off with one of cinema's biggest plot twists and you've got yourself an excellent time.
And some people misremembering that famous Darth Vader line and doing mental gymnastics to unironically justify that they ended up in a parallel dimension. Apparently. That's still weird to me.

I Love The Empire Strikes Back so much. The Empire Strikes Back is an awesome and great Star Wars film, it was a brilliant sequel to Star Wars 1977, and The Empire Strikes Back was the sci-fi film that came out after Alien, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Disney's The Black Hole in May 1980. The Empire Strikes Back is my second favorite Star Wars film along with Star Wars 1977, Frank Oz was excellent as Yoda, and the third act on Cloud City was absolutely stellar.

May The Force Be With You!
Back when this movie released, fans were divided on the darker tone of this movie. However, when the movie was re-released and fans realized that this movie is not what they thought it was, critics and fans changed their mind about Empire and above all sequel, I think the Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars Sequels of all time and it is probably one of the greatest films I saw in my life. I love everything about Empire and it really shifts the Star Wars Universe in a big way
3:42 was the one I remember seeing. I was 12. It made me think "Oh this is going to be good!" and it didn't disappoint.
