Perhaps Jade is the executioner responsible for sending people into the "jade light" mentioned many times in the lore.
That was my thinking too. Between that and the Stalker being involved, I wonder how that update’s quest will turn out.
"Jade Shadows" suggests Stalker's history is tied to the Jade Light in some way... But per Ivara's lore, we know there's not really a dedicated wielder of it.
I suspect Jade is a survivor of it, who has integrated it into her body somehow.
@@Joe90h Perhaps the Stalker's original purpose was to bring wanted criminals in, before the Orokin Empire collapsed.
@@FrozenxDeath Dunno, I feel like his hatred of the Tenno is too personal to be just be connected to his vocation. If he had ingrained Orokin loyalty, it seems weird that he'd align with Hunhow of all people/space skeletons too.
May be responsible for the “emerald light” the Myrmidon uses in the Warframe loyalty test(Ivara Laverin) too.

I’m so pumped, after 11 years, warframe has still got so much left in the tank, and it still feels top of the line. I’ll keep supporting and playing for years. Reb and the team now seem to be having a blast too. Not to mention im so glad Potato still uploads. One of the OGs.
Yeah Rebecca taking over feels like an older player finally able to implement changes they wanted for years. Even the nerfs don't feel as vindictive as they did before, just feels like "we are trying to make things fair and even" not "how dare you make the game easier!!"

@@JohnnyBlake-bu4hl the Dante nerf wasn't that bad, compared to past nerfs. His nerf was mainly towards his over shield ability nerfing Chroma and hunter adrenaline. The, I can't remember it's name, the melee weapon slam nerf was wild because that weapon been out for 7 years.
I really wish nezhas new augment didn't get that 50% range buff tho, my boy deserves better
Finally, justice for Mag mains. This is better than any buff.

Get fracturing crush, put breach surge in place of her 3rd (You need pull to pull enemies into bubble.)
Cast bubble on group of enemies, cast breach surge on them and strip their armor with Crush.
(You can first cast crush, then breach surge to manual DPS activation. You can use anything to enable it and I mean ANYTHING. Maybe mining laser, or maybe kicking [You can press ctrl to fly-kick enemies])
@@zerotodona1495 Same thing happened to me with Wukong, and he ended up being my second-favorite frame behind Mag. You should give her a try again, even her regular variant is super-strong with her augment mods and the right Shards.
Magnetize is the most versatile ability in the game.
She has functional invincibility outside toxin procs
Arguably the best armor strip in the game.
Scales indefinitely
Supports extremely active and/or extremely chill gameplay
Etc..
People don’t like her because she’s not a pick up and play frame like Mesa, Rev or Rhino. Your ability to use her will only grow with your understanding of her. Your friends are speaking out of ignorance 😶🌫️

I think it was implied somewhere that the Stalker is like Harrow’s operator. They used transference for so long their original bodies are lost meat. They are permanently bound to their Warframes.
But you turn out to be right, that would be interesting.
Stalker was extremely surprised Warframes had space children inside, so it would track that he's stuck in this edgelord Excalibur fashion frame and assumed the Tenno were also bound to their Warframes.
I instantly thought of the same thing.

Umbra is counted as a separate frame from default Excal.
However, Umbra doesn't count at being a warframe starting with U. Reason being it's Excalibur Umbra not Umbra Excaliber.
Since it's Stalker related, I'd say Jade's weapon is actually a Scythe.
Edit: Also, FINALLY a deluxe that's NOT made by Liger.
I also thought that looks more like a scythe than a polearm.
Both wrong a scythe is one long curved blade with a long pole.
The Jade Light is what Orokin used to execute people. Wonder if she's related to that light.

What ever they put out I’m gonna play it. I’ve been playing Warframe for the last 11 years. I can remember a time when I was like “idk if I’m gonna keep playing this game” but not anymore.
This game…like with some other games for me, is a comfort game. I can come back to this game and just…PLAY, you know? This is a game where I can do cool stuff and that’s all I really care about in terms of gameplay. I’ll be here for the story and anything else this game drops.
I didn’t know about Jade Shadows. So I thought Dante Unbound was all we were getting this year. So this is a pretty cool reveal to me.

@@Starhiveart eh. I would consider “Major updates” at about atleast once a year. The “echo” updates are just add ons to the major update. Not major updates themselves.

@coldblizzard5880 they are major updates still, even then its more like 2 more updates and 2 echos updates. Were on update 35 which divided by 11 years is a little more than 3 updates a year
"Comfort game" is right. Warframe is the easiest game I'm willing to play. It's amazing how well it holds my attention in spite of a near lack of any challenge. Normally I like games to push me to my limits, but I push Warframe to its limits instead. Helps a lot that there's so much variety now. I can always commit genocide in a fresh new way.

@fyrfly8768 eh nope if it does steam new rule with making games with or ideas with ai..... you forget warframe is on steam if they suddenly put ai they must follow steam rules. There is consequence if they don't follow. Steam is one of there larger players base you think they want to risk it.... I play warframe on steam for 9 years

It's a bit interesting that the quest is named Jade Shadows and the new frame after Dante is named Jade
The jade light is what was used to create cephalons, and the last quest that Hunhow was an antagonist in was Octavia's anthem which also dealt with cephalons.
It's possible that we might be getting more story about cephalons as well as the stalker, and if this baseless guess is correct, maybe more Ordis story.
Im pretty sure the jade light just obliterates people, and some other process is used to make people into cephalons

Yes it was, although we don't know if Margulis has a cephalon.
@@shade6001 Interesting, so perhaps instead of an Ordis story maybe its a sudden reveal that Real Space Mom still exists. Cephalons have their memories wiped IIRC, right? Which means Margulis wouldn't remember the Tenno.
I really liked the idea of Arthur being the first Excal. It's a shame it's not really working out that way. Maybe when Albrecht went back in time, the people he warframized became the blueprints for the first warframes? That could make sense, but who knows?
It wouldn't line up with Warframe's apparent model of spacetime. Simply put, there are no stable time loops, going back in time causes the original past to be erased and overwritten.

@@thegrouchization Not exactly, the past doesnt get overwritten, its just that a new line is created from that point on creating a parallel universe in which the events are different. Eternalism also suggests that the past, and future are also just as real as the present.

The MCU has stable time loops so when you go into the past you need to be careful to ensure that your actions don't contradict the original course of events (hence why they needed to return the Infinity Stones at the end of the film. Keeping them in the future would have created a paradox).
Note: I haven't really kept up with the MCU since Endgame so if the rules for time travel in that setting have changed since that film I am not aware.
@@Bandit74100 Eternalism doesn't concern time travel (not directly, at least), it concerns choices made by people. Time travel is subject to the Palimpsest effect described in my original comment.

@@geammanDW Because we already played as Arthur in the prologue of the quest. I'm betting that 99 is going to be a long series of quests where we get a few proto frames to play as. Probably going to be another map system like the solar system to play through, even if it's a bit smaller.

The only reason I keep my standard Sigma and Aegis. It looks so much better than the prime version. I wish I could put the base skin on it.

Im a little worried about the prime details on protea, DE has had a habit recently for making shoulder pieces unusable because of the warframe model. Maybe the psuedo sleeves will be far enough down the arm to avoid collision and attachement points? At least the legs are clean

soulframe tells the story of the descendants of the version of the tenno who survived the void crisis on the zariman after it made the jump to the Tau system. everything is lush adn beautiful thanks to the efforts of the sentients terraforming the planet. the people worship spirit creatures just like the owl the wolf and the snake that the Archons are said to be modeled after the guardian spirits of Tau.
