Those large magic shows are no longer conducted as frequently as they used to be, and the format of such shows has changed with the advent of internet and large screens. People can also easily share recorded acts reducing revenues for artists. Same goes for musicians and painters.

If every magician starts explaining their every tricks then they won't have anything left to show and secrets are the most important part of magic after all . Every magicians usually explains some of their minor tricks to others to encourage people to learn magic or inspire them. Know the difference, if someone not explaining their trick that doesn't mean they are rude or selfish. It's part of their job.

I had an opportunity to watch his show as a 8th grader. The year was 1996. I had an exam the next day and I was so split on whether I should go and watch his show or study for the exam. I decided to go with my parents (and took a book with me just so that i don’t regret it). That was the best show I had the privilege of watching. Almost 26 years later, I still remember the show vividly.

I have been lucky to watch him thrice till now- twice in Mahajati Sadan, Kolkata, the best stage for magic shows here from the 1st row, and once in Maithon, now in Jharkhand in his hay days. Believe me, he really does magic. The tricks and the whole performance become a magic. His costume, his terrific voice acting, his movements on stage, his shining energy and the live music at the bottom of the stage- it mesmerises. It's an experience every human being should get a chance to enjoy. But alas, I haven't been able to take my 12 year old to his show yet.
Same here. Watched his shows thrice with father at Mahajati Sadan. But now my 8 year old is deprived of this opportunity as he doesn’t do shows anymore. :(

I was fortunate to see the performances of both father and son, though it was at 2 separate events but both were mesmerising.. even David copperfield was another mesmerising magician from my childhood

His father was a childhood friend of my maternal grandfather's. Both passed away long before I saw the light of day. But heard a lot of stories from my grandmother.

We have heared a story about respected Sr.P.C. Sorcar from my mom when Sr.P.C.went to show a magic show in Jessore district 80/85 years ago.Respected P.C.Sorcar was showing magic at a yard of a Zamindar family perhaps and then my mother went to watch the magic show at the invitation of Zamindar's babu sister.The sister of the Zamindar babu was my mother's broosom friend as one of the family members. There was a huge crowed gatherin and my mom and her friend were there and suddenly respected Sr.P.C.Sorcar called my mom and her friend.Then they were 13/14 years old and he wanted a ring or ear ring from them and my mom gave her.Then he requested my mother to throw that ear ring in the water of the well and my mother and her friend went near the deep well and threw the earring and came back to sr.P.C. sarkar but to their extreme surprise he gave back the same earring to my mom and the huge crowed exploded with explicit applause and clappings.Then Sr.P.C.sarkar was hardly under twenty five years or less.3.7.24..
