I find the one caveat for these minimalists is the land is provided by a friend or family member. This crucial element is usually glossed over in these videos since most people would have to buy an expense lot of land like this

It's honestly crazy, land around where I am costs $12k an acre compared to the $7k an acre like 5 years ago...

Very true! Even for the van builds, if you don’t had a house or know someone with land, where are you gonna do the work on it? I know my apartment complex wouldn’t let me do it in our parking lot

Very true. And not only that. If you live in a more populated area there’s so many rules on how you can use that land and even if you can put a tiny house on it.

Agree. It's a very middle class movement! One has to have connections to a landowner to afford this living style.

Robert Frost apparently wrote all his poems in a small wooden shed in his backyard. He wouldn’t allow anything in the shed that was also not natural wood. The spiritual connection was the thing! 😊

    Cover those tyres
Ultra Violet light will degrade them before they wear out if you don't move the trailer very often

He works to live, not lives to work. A good philosophy if you have the right skills; keep learning. :)
    His home is beautiful.

Nice place. I'd have a huge problem with your loft, because I have to get up to go to the bathroom 1-2 times a night, so don't ask me to stay over. LOL. Great job you've done. I love the place!

Nice job! I wanted to convert my rv into a tiny vacation home, it's 16 years old, n I was afraid things would start going, like my air conditioner did in July! So I bought a new rv instead, near my granddaughters too!!! GL in your mini home, great job! 😃

Finally! A tiny house that's an actual tiny house. I'm so tired of seeing these things with huge luxury appliances and two or three bedrooms with tons of overhead space.

The environment is the crux of matter. If you had a bunch of tiny houses clustered on a parking lot, it wouldn't be much different from Soweto 😐. The context makes the build... And each house requires a whole lot of outhouse facilities (somewhere to dry laundry, store tools... The regular day-to-day activities). Don't get me wrong, I love the notion/romance of Tiny Homes..... And oftentimes, I think that "because I'm out all day, I only roost in my house, I could almost get by with Harry Potter's bed under the stairs!!!" .... When it comes to 'living' you do need spaces to perform grown-up tasks. Often #vanlife #tinyhomes just look at lounging and sleeping.

I do not think tiny houses are environmentally friendly. The fact people just dump their grey water and use compost toilets instead of septic tanks is frustrating. This person has a pee bucket which is disgusting. It’s not healthy and there’s so much waste with driving to do tasks that very basic homes have.

I want to know what the story is with the customers or the guests that had problems with the holes in the wall that I want to know what that story is behind the peephole situation how he kind of Dazed off there for a second as he was gently caressing the holes that he put the wall I wonder what he did disturbing that will cause the guests to have a problem with the holes that were in the wall

This was so frustrating to watch. He starts a thought and goes off on a tangent and you never get the information he started to give. Does he live there or is it Airbnb? There's a heater.......and? I just couldn't vibe with this guy's energy at all. Where do you live? How about a state if it's that big of a deal. 🙄
