I love that you honor your mom in so many small ways.
Oh Barbara, what a "charming" collection of charms you have inherited here from your Mum. They work perfectly with your Journal.
Thank you for the paper bead tutorial and have a beautiful day,
Barbara 🇦🇺
So lovely treasures ❤ Those beads take me back to 70’. We use to made beads from magazine images. Lovely memories ❤
Thank you Barbara🌸💕 You are so sweet and talented.
I just have to tell you that the little horse charm you chose is a tiny Swedish Dahla horse.
Thanks Vicki! ❤️
What a lovely memento & great way of displaying them. Your Mum would definitely love it! Even more so that it brings a smile to your face that we can hear in your voice 😁
I learned to make these paper beads when I was in High School in the late 60’s. What is that saying, “Everything old is new again.”
Your little red painted wooden horse is a Swedish Dala Horse. So cute, love your charms.
Oooh, thanks so much for letting me know! ❤️
Thanks you Barbara, I love to watch your you tube channel. It is a moment for myself a moment of learning, joy and relaxing. Maybe strange but your way of filming and talking etc are relaxing. Greets Simone
These charms from around the world are such a powerful and precious memory of your mom. Now I need to go did through my box of my moms old jewelry and charm bracelet charms. I’ll add some paper charms with colours that she loved. Thanks for the amazing inspiration. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
Thanks! Sounds like you are going to have fun! 🥰❤️
What absolute treasures from your mom! SO CUTE!!!
I absolutely love dangles on spine of junk journals
I love dangles on my journals 💕! Thank you for sharing your treasure box from your mom🥰! Thanks for sharing the tutorial on paper beads too😄. Take care 🤗💕!
Lovely dangles and beads Barbara! This brings back memories of the 70's 🙂 we made necklaces with beads created from magazine pages. Covering them with transparant nailpolish makes them even more durable. And shiny too, so you need to consider whether you want that.
So, lovely that you shared your memories about your mother with us and her presence with felt universally. ❤️ Definitely will watch the whole eye needle thing. 😆
Thank you, Barbara, for sharing the treasures from your Mom. So very sweet. Even though I am not a glitter person (I can handle some around Christmas time), I varnished some of my paper beads with glitter nail polish from Dollar Tree, just for fun. They were cute additions to a journal I was making at the time.
How lovely adding your mums collection to yours ❤ so much better than a box. 🥰
Fabulous! Best paper bead tutorial EVER. And lovely memory dangles from your mom. Aw!
Wow! Thanks so much! ❤️😃
@@49dragonflies I’m still feeling happy re your mom’s treasure box. 💕
The dangles are beautiful memories sharing a new home. Love the charm they bring to the journal.❤️
That was fun, I love that you have your Mom’s treasure box full of memories! It is often the simple things that bring such joy! Love your paper bead tutorial as well, the embossing adds a nice touch!💕🇨🇦
Bet your mom is smiling. Absolutely gorgeous dangle with beautiful memories. I love it. Love your display of different dangles on each of your gorgeous journals. Very impressive. Enjoyed video.
Barbara:.fab work! I love what you have kept from your Mother’s travels. This is what creating journals is all about. Carol from California
I adore the pieces from around the world that your mom collected and they are perfect for this project.
Lovely paper dangles and some old remembrances from your mom, too...........😻
This was so much fun. I love to see you working with the belongings from your parents. Thanks too for showing how to make paper beads. This I can do. You are such a treasure, Barbara, I do so appreciate you.
Your mother's box of souvenir charms and keyrings is a treasure trove indeed, full of memories and the perfect resource for your junk journal dangles. Your dangle and paper methods are super easy and the reminder about paper beads was a good one because I want to make more of these lightweight embellishments. Thank you.
Hahahaaaa I ❤ the blooper at the beginning!.😂
Your mom would be so happy with this❤❤❤
Yosemite in the '70s... Yippers, I was there! It's a crazy small world, isn't it?? Love you angel, MomK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
😊🥰❤️
Thanks for showing us how to make paper beads. The dangles look great on that book! Perfect example how art creates itself!! Have a fantastic day!
I love the beads, and the idea of possibly combining them with tchotchkes from your mom’s tin. So special. Thank you for the great demo.
Such a great way to display treasures! I'm sure she would love it!!
I simply LOVE dangles!! I wear a form of them around my neck, in my ears, and especially on my wrists. So I’m always so happy to add them to my journals. Thanks so much for some new inspiration! 😍
Your charm dangle is super cute! What a great way to capture memories. Love it, Barbara❤
I've never added dangles to my journals because I haven't taken the time to learn how, but now that I do.....time to make some dangles! 🥰🥰
Have fun! 😃❤️
Your mom is thrilled with your creative use and display of her treasures! 😍
Adorable dangle with all the items from your mom.
The horse is a Swedish Dalahäst, Barbara 😊 I live near by where they make those 😊
I was going to talk about it, but you got ahead of it 😊👍
I remember making these as a child. We would use our regular school paper and scribble all over the paper with crayons and make the beads. We would make them with newspaper as well. Great memories. ❤
Sounds fun! 😃
Hi Barbara, I can't wait to make some paper beads, I had no idea until you showed us today. Please , please, please show us a dangle with them and how to use the eye pins and head pins. TIA ❤
I will! 😃❤️
The dangle you made is perfectly beautiful for that journal!! ❤🦜 Thank you for showing us how to make paper beads...fun!! 😘😘
Thank you so much Barbara I really really enjoyed watching you firstly making the paper bead’s, then attaching those other charm’s to your magnificent journal, and no the paper bead’s wouldn’t be suitable on that journal. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤
What a wonderful dangle, how lovely it’ll be to look up and see that as you’re working at your desk. You could always make knots and add some glue to end of bead to hold the beads on. Just a suggestion, ❤❤
So beautiful! Wonderful momentos from your Mom 💕 My granddaughter showed me how to make the paper beads. I'll have to make some with her! TFS 🤗
Thanks! Have fun! 😃❤️
Those charms are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing and a reminder of just how awesome paper beads are! Love the embossing powder on them!
Yes, thank you for sharing how to make paper beads. Seem easy to do. Will give it a try. All your journals are beautiful and with the dangles, even more so💖
Thanks and have fun! 😃❤️
A bead roller is a good investment. I coat the beads in clear nalil polish. Your charm turned out so nice!
What e sweet memories of your mother! A beautiful collection of traveling around the globe! ❤
So beautiful! I will definitely we doing some of your paper beads. It’s been a while and I completely forgot about them. But they are just too adorable. It was wonderful to honor your mom with that amazing dangle. It seems like she was just an amazing person. So you very much took after her! 🤗❤️
Aaaaw thanks so much! ❤️
It's so lovely to have your memories on display and not in a box. You've inspired me to do the same with bit and pieces I've got from my mum and aunt. Inspiring Barbara x
Thanks so much and have fun with yours! ❤️😃
Bless you Barbara, I think your mum would be so proud and happy with this dangle. Thankyou for sharing xxx
Ive been wanting to collect something from all the ports I visit while on cruises, this is a great idea! Thanks again for the sunday snacks!
I've made a junk journal ready for our next cruise using nautical and tropical themed things. Now I will look for suitable charms, keyrings or jewellery in each port to make a souvenir dangle like Barbara's. I always purchase the ship magnet on board each new ship so I have fleet of magnets on my fridge to bring our trips to mind.
Your mum sounds really cool, ahead of her time. Loved the tutorial. Thank you for sharingxxxxxx🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love these, I forgot about this, lol. We used to make these with the kindergarten kids while I worked there. It was so much fun. Thank you so much for sharing these, blast from the past for me, lol.
love your Treasure Box - love the beads you made and i love that journal - thank you Barbara - time to make some beads lol - be well xx
Oh my goodness, I love making paper beads! It’s so addicting and relaxing to sit there for hours using up scraps of papers 🥰
Had to make some beads. Maybe I will even make dangles now.
Have fun! 😃❤️
Barbara! That horse charm is from sweden! Loved the video!!
Thank you very much from France for this video with paper beads. It’s amazing to make and to see 😊❤
I remember making the paper beads in my Girl Scout troop when my daughter was young. They turned out great from magazine pages, and then we made necklaces.
I love all of those dangles on your beautiful journals ❤
Wow I’m in love with your Mother’s charm and dangles collection. Absolute treasures! Plus thank you for this lesson; cannot wait to try your unique suggestions.
I made these a long time ago
I used wall paper at that time. It was such fun. Thank you. I have a buttons and things my dad bought back from WW2. They are so very easy. 🐼🐼 Love you back.
I love all the travel memories
Really cute dangles.
Love the dangle! Thanks for the tutorial on making paper beads!
Oh, how wonderful! I always wanted ask you, to show us, how to make these lovely paper charms or beats. And now my wish comes true. And even better is, that it looks very easy! Thank you so much! 😘😘

🙈 oh you gave me a fright dropping that journal😄. I haven't made these for years, I forgot about them! Super pretty selection😍 the embossing powder looks cool 😎. What a treasure trove that is. I have beading needles but the eyes are tiny 🙈. Aww your Mum would love that 😍 you can always add the beads to another one 🙊. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

I love everything about this video 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Love the dangles and paper beads! I haven't made paper beads in years, this video was a great reminder of how fun they are ... I will be making some! Thank you for sharing. ❤
Sweet memories of your Mom. I have similar memories of mine. ❤ Thank you for sharing.
Your journals are GORGEOUS all lined up on your shelves!!😊
You could actually put a little hot glue on the knot to also help keep the beads on. Thanks for the tutorial on paper bead making.
The beads are so pretty ❤ I want to make some of those. And the dangle is adorable too. A nice way to have memories hanging on a journal. 😊
So darling and yes , your mom would love it. Have a great day. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ❤
Love all the dangels on you journals. ❤ Thanks for the inspiration, now I have to try making paper beads. 😊 The painted horse on your dangle looks like a Swedish Dala horse.
Thanks so much a be have fun! 😃❤️
Love all the different dangles
Love how this turned out and how fun to have the memories right there to see every day! ❤
Love the beads ! Thank you for all your ideas. 😊
Very sweet memories for you!
Barbara, I made those paper beads a long time ago from a lady who had a craft show on tv. There are no such crafting shows anymore sadly. Anyway I had forgotten all about making those until this video! I will be revisiting making those again. Love your dangles. It’s like around the world dangle! Love it. TFS! ❤
Thanks and have fun! 😃❤️
What a great box of charms your mother collected!
Your paper beads are gorgous, and so are those Beautiful Austrian wooden tokens..I really love this..💖🌷😊💗💗🌷💖💖💕
I love the beads and the charms. I feel a bit sorry for that poor little horse with the rope around his neck 😉 I sometimes use a small sized crochet hook to tie a knot on short ends like that. Thank you for sharing how you made this charming dangle.
Love your charms! When making paper beads, you can seal the outside with glittery/shimmery nail polish instead of the gel medium and embossing powder. I keep a couple bottles of Dollar Store nail polish in silver and gold on hand just for doing beads :) Bigger glitter looks grungy on the paper, while a fine shimmer looks more elegant.
I used glitter nail polish as well, love the way they turned out 🙂
Thank you for the tip of putting some embossing powder on the beads.
What a great idea you have given me to entertain my granddaughter when she come later this week. Paper beads with embossing will keep us occupied for a few hours! Thanks Barbara and love your work! Lynne NZ
Have fun! 😃❤️
What a lovely treasure box and great memories 😊
You are a paper bead master..At times mine were a bit crooked..Much enjoyed making them with the grandchildren…Great Video..
I have tried those beads and you made it look so easy. Mine just would not stay straight. I may have to try them again. I can also tell you another crafter showed using nail polish over them. Especially the polish with glitter in them.
That’s fun too! Try them again, you can do it! 😃❤️
So lovely Barbara. ❤😍 xx
This charm dangle turned out so cute 🥰 I definitely want to make some paper beads now and make some into earrings
Lovely! 💜The orange horse is from Dalarna in Sweden and calls "Dalahäst" 😀 💜
Loved watching you go through your treasure box. The dangle turned out great and like you said brings back memories. I also enjoyed the paper bead demo. I have never made any, but will definitely try some. 💕
Hello, Barbara! I love it ! Love it so much! I always wanted to learn how to do these paper beads! Thank you so much for teaching us!!! Happy week!❤
I like using plastic straws (instead of throwing them away)
It gives you a big hole and you can use cords/ yarn fairly easily.
That red horse dangle is a Swedish horse. Its called a DALAHÄST in Swedish, dalahorse in English probably...
Dalahäst is one of Sweden's most famous souvenirs...
They are made in a part of sweden called Dalarna. Im definitely not an expert in this area but im Swedish so. 🇸🇪
I love your content! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊
Beautiful dangels !
So cute, love it🤩❤️😍
