  • Redline Timber Fire Interface, logging a selective harvest and hazard fuel reduction unit in So. Oregon, driving the flag stake with modified Stihl 440 chainsaw for a hole in one :) We market the mature logs to offset the cost of: thinning the stand and eliminating the ladder and surface fuel load, so as to; open the canopy, improve air/light circulation, reduce wildfire intensity as well as disease, fungus and insect susceptibility.. producing improved growth rates, wildlife habitat, peace of mind and a future legacy of sustainable harvest for the land owner :) win,win..

      Thanks and yeah to that.. working on some more tree slapping the camera logging action, but time is short when in a race with fire season, so watch for that!!

      Appreciate that.. so nice when it all goes right, but I'm never too quick to pat myself on the back.. sidewinders, widow-makers and dang yellow-jackets abound.. :0

      Thanks for tuning in.. it has an 8 tooth sprocket and 32" or 81cm guide bar

    How does the power compare to your old 039

    • @redlinetimber
      @redlinetimber  5 років тому +1

      "the 440 motor-sword" has a bit more on the stump snort, cuts slightly faster and pulls the 8 tooth drive sprocket on a 32 very well, especially in pitchy pine.. BUT, have been running a 32 light on the 039 with a 7 tooth in the landing for bucking/limbing and shes still an impressive daily ripper!!
