If nobody has suggested this yet I’d be very surprised. Look up Sylvia Hammarstrom and Skansen kennel. Sylvia has been breeding to produce white Mini Schnauzers. I have now only seen two of your videos but the first time I saw Max I wondered if he was a Skansen dog.
Sylvia fell in love with a white female Mini who had landed at her kennel for reasons I no longer remember. Anyway, this little girl was the love of Sylvia life. From that time Sylvia has been breeding and has achieved, white Mini Schnauzers. There is a lot of controversy over what Sylvia is doing. The dogs are not able to be registered with AKC because pure white is not standard for the breed.
Anyway, I think Sylvia may know something about Max. She also may not have any idea where he came from. Nonetheless, I bet she would be excited to hear from you.

This is SO great not only is Maxxie a purebred miniature schnauzer for generations but he does not have any of the genetic conditions that purebreed dogs often have. And he probably isn't much of a shedder because you do such a beautiful job keeping him groomed. Way to go Maxxie.

Im a dog groomer. I knew he was a schnauzer, he always makes himself stiff when you pick him up. That is a big schnauzer trait. Im not suprised! Its fun when we do our own DNA . You never know? !!!

I didn’t know that either! Mine is 50% miniature schnauzer but he acts like he’s 100%! One side of his family is pure schnauzer. He gets really stiff when I pick him up, barks at everything, he also tends to be very nervous. He looks like all schnauzer too 😍🖤

Maybe his full-breed status is why his ears stand up so beautifully. He is a real beauty...one of the "elite". (But actually just a lovable pup!)

We have a schnoodle we adopted from our local animal control. His face is very schnauzer, especially when we have him groomed. He has the beard and the eyebrows. But the rest of him is extremely curly. I see Maxxie’s hair is very straight and smooth. Our Linus’ hair so so very curly, like a poodle.

I felt he was pure breed because of his EARS, HIS STANCE & HIS BARK. This breed is known for that "yippie" continuous bark❗ I read about animals & watch as much as I can about cats & pupsters since I Pet Nanny for my Church Families in their homes. They take care of me when I'm sick or have surgery. I have no family in NC. But I love studying about them. So happy to have them in my life💕💋💕. Now YOU KNOW...YOU GOT YOUR MONEY'S WORTH❤🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤.

I have never watched your videos before and cant understand why you doubted your pup is a mini Schnauzer. I have a mini Schnauzer too and she has curls just like me. Did you know that mini Schnauzers do have poodle in their blood line as mini/toy poodles and other small terrier breeds were used to create the mini's? So even if it did show poodle, you still have a genuine Schnauzer!
Always fun to get the results. Thanks for sharing. All my dogs have been shelter dogs so we've run DNAs since they became easily available and it's always exciting to get the results. Love Maxxer

I had a beautiful silver/white schnauzer that died suddenly at 5 years old from autoimmune hemolytic anemia. She was a precious angel and a part of me died when she passed away. She was so smart. I lived on the second floor butted up to a wilderness area, and I could just open the door, leave it propped (unlatched), and she would run down the stairs and go potty...then come back up, push the door open, and the door would close behind her. My neighbors were amazed! Could also walk her off leash. I taught her none of that. She just showed me what she could do!! She was my “velcro pup.” And did not like when I was away from her. 😢.
Love schnauzers so much, though they are indeed major barkers! Mine was debarked when I adopted her at one year old. I don’t know why they did that to her and not the others in her litter, but was kinda nice for my ears. I’d never choose to do that to a dog myself though.

Yay, Maxxie is officially, totally, 100% Schnauzer!! Probably, if you'd never seen that white poodle at his previous home, you wouldn't have had any doubts about his ancestry, especially as you've had a few Schnauzers before. But, I must say, he is a beautiful specimen of the breed with his sweet face, beautiful coat and great conformation. Added to all this, you keep him at an ideal weight which makes for a very attractive dog! Love the both of them, Maxxie AND Pollux. Cheers Roz.
You are right....if I never saw the poodle, I wouldn't have that in my mind. But I was wrong!
What throws you off is the fact that they docked his tail and did nothing to his ears. He’s a cutie pie! 😊

My guess was Schnoodle...100% miniature Schnauzer...👍🐶😍 It doesn’t matter what their pedigree is...we also love them unconditionally...👍❤️🐶 but now you know.
When I was a kid we begged and begged our mom to get us a dog. She did a lot of research and that wasn't easy back in the 1950s. She found an article about miniature schnauzers: good with kids and they don't shed. She was sold and then looked for months and found a 9-month-old AKC-registered male named "Brunhilda's Top of the Mark." I remember he cost $300, which was a LOT of money in 1959.
He was a wonderful companion, so smart, and let me dress him up in doll clothes and feed him milk from a doll baby bottle. We never could break him of jumping on people and he was always a terrible yapper. We had Mark for 15 years.
We have a pure white Schnauzer baby named “Murphy” in our family too!

WELCOME TO MY CURLS yes he is! As a Schnauzer owner (all 3 sizes) for over 40 years, I have seen them all. He is just beautiful and his sweetness shines through. Love love love that little face!!! And love Pollux too!
Maxi is like our lovely mini schnauzer that we lost a year and a half ago. Bobby was a rescue found in AZ and brought home to Canada. As a border collie/sheltie family we had never had a schnauzer before but he was the most darling (don't tell the others) of all the dogs (11 of them) we have had (and still do). He had a pinkish speckled nose just like your Max.
I watch your channel because I miss our Bobby so much and, although you can find dog's that kind of look like one you know, Maxi could have been Bobby's twin.
Awww so sweet!!!! Schnauzers have the sweetest personalities! Maxxie is pretty chill compared to our other Schnauzers....but he is 10 years old now so he enjoys taking it easy :)
We just got our first schnauzer and she’s white. Her tear stains are impossible to clean off. Taking her to the vet this week for her shots. I’m hoping it’s not a clogged duct. 😢

I have a yorkie that I got from a breeder. They said he was a yorkie but he is 12 pounds and has the body length of hot dog dog.
I did the dna test and she is 100% yorkie.
It’s good to know she has no genetic problems and no resistance to drugs. Worth doing

I had a purebred Boston Terrier, but she had a hot dog body too, lol. I guess even though a dog can be 100% of something, they still have their own individual little traits and quirks, lol.

I have a white standard Schnauzer from Mexico. I got him through Adopt-A-Pet. He looks exactly like yours even groomed. His fur is white cotton like yours.
I have teasingly called all of our dogs poodles, even though none of them were. So Maddie will always be a poodle to me.🥰

Lets be honest Maxxie is a full blood relation of SNOWY from the TIN TIN comics and movie and tv show.
We use the term "baby stays home" when our dog want to take anything out with her. The way the words don't change when the stuff animal or toy changes. She drops it immediately.

He looks 100% to me and I've had 4 mini's and next month will have a new Schnauzer puppy. Maxxie is adorable!!! I had one Schnauzer, Skipper, who did shed a tiny bit from his belly fur. My current Schnauzer, Buddy, is 14 years old (recently lost Skipper who was +15 years old). Buddy's mother was all white and his dad was all black and he came out a salt & pepper but he is all Schnauzer through and through. And Buddy has a beautiful, natural tail that is full of curly fur. New puppy also has a natural tail (I heartily recommend natural tails and natural ears). Thank you for posting videos of Pollux and Maxxie!
He's such a sweet little guy. I have been watching your videos for a while and always especially enjoy your little Maxxie Moo. I have a 13 year old salt and pepper Mini Schnauzer and I recognize a lot of similar traits. He's a purebred as well, which includes Yippy Dog DNA. Maxxie was surrendered to the local shelter when he was 10 months old. His family couldn't financially take care of their 2 dogs and 2 children. We adopted Maxxie from the shelter ❤️

We just sent our newly adopted giant, white dog's DNA for testing. Shelter thought he might be Great Pyrenees mix, but who knows. Can't wait to find out! I love your idea of getting people to guess. I think I'll do that!

Are you guys aware that the Schnauzer is actually a combination of a few breeds of dogs? Look it up. I was shocked. Affinpinscher, Poodle and I forget the third one.

I have had a schnauzer when I was living in England.
They are sweet dogs and I enjoyed every minutes of his life with me.
I had a snorkie I'm so broken-hearted I came home and he was season out on me that is a blue I took him to the vet I lost my best friend of 9 and 1/2 years. I'm an elderly disabled woman and he was a snorkie who's the best dog I ever had. I believe that somebody got to him in my car I had my friend wait at the car with him while I ran into the dollar store real quick because this weird-looking guy hanging around and my friend walked off having a cigarette and I yelled at them but I just think something happened to him. My heart is broken forever. I used to take care of the elderly disabled people in my area and I used to take him with me sometimes and they loved him so he would sit so quiet never gave a problem he comforted them. And then I got her taking care of my elderly patients and Snoopy my snorkie he became my caretaker for real. I will always miss him had to vent sorry

I'm 73 with cancer and my best friend is my 8year old "porkie"..pug body with yorkie hair. Rescue for humane society...right after dad and the aunt died. Max is with me 24/7.

My son has a white miniature schnauzer ...and his breeder has quite a few different colours including black and white or brown and white, black, just Brown or traditional grey
I had a white Schnoodle. I knew Maxie was 100% Schnauzer, you can tell by his stance, and his hair is not wavy or wirey ... Also his muzzle is longer. He's all out Schnauzer and very handsome! 😊😊

Schnauzers were created from Poodle/ Affenpincer mix in the 1800’s!
You are correct , Carol. These two breeds were bred with the small Standard Schnauzers. This was done in Germany as the farmers used the Schnauzers as herding dogs. They wanted a smaller version to catch rodents such as rats and mice. The facial hair was there to protect the face and eyes of the Schnauzers. The dogs proved to be such a wonder family dog they eventually were not bred just for being ratters , but as a great guard dog and loving family dog. 1899 was the year they became a purebred of itself. So any DNA results going back to that year and since then are regarded ad purebred. The progenitors are as you mentioned , German Poodles and Affenpinschers which is why they are so intelligent.
