you just saved me 100 bucks they were trying to charge me $85+tax to reset it saying they had to use a OBD reader to reset the service light .....

Although it did reset the service light. How to do I adjust the numbers to mileage I want? My next change like to 3000 miles instead of it programmed itself at 10,000 miles?

Audi A3 Sportpack..... 2003 Das Display schwarz, er zeigt nur an, wenn die Türen auf sind. Ein normales Radio, mehr nicht. Konnte ich nicht so lassen. Jetzt hat er: Android , also Rückfahrkammera , Navi , Thermometer mit Batterietester. Sensoren kommen später. Ach, die Kabelverlegung macht überhaupt keinen Spaß!😭

how to reset the service interval? for me it always resets the oil service
Hi cobraMSChumi,
Switch the ignition on but do not start the car. On the clocks there are 2 small stalks. Pull the right one and let it go. The centre display will enter the service schedule. Within 5 seconds pull and hold for 10 seconds. It will reset the service interval. Switch off ignition, wait 30 seconds, switch on ignition and pull right stalk again. It should be reset.

Hi, thanks for the reply but it only resets the oil indicator. I also have a service indicator which is not reset. checked on forums that it needs to be reset with vcds

We have yet to carry out a full service or our A3 8P. We will be doing that soon and will film it, including the reset.
We are aware that there is a bare bones basic function vcds that can be downloaded and used for free so we may look at that when and if we need it.

that would be awesome! same problem over here :S can only reset oil service indicator with this method...
