- In this episode of Heaven & Healing Podcast, I speak with an ex-psychic medium, Jenn Nizza Hofacker. Jenn had a very successful career in psychic mediumship before crying out to Jesus Christ in a moment of desperation. After that moment, everything changed for her - she went to church, felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit and are home to read what the Bible says about psychic mediumship only to find that it is an abominable sin worthy of death in the sight of the Lord and that there is absolutely nothing in Scripture to support connection or communion with deceased loved ones.
Jenn has since dedicated her life’s work to Christ and the integrity of Scripture, exposing the demonic deception of psychic mediumship and other occultist practices. She has published two books, From Psychic to Saved & Out of the New Age and Into the Truth and has an online ministry where she shares the very real dangers of psychic consultation.
In this conversation, Jenn shares her testimony of how she came to know Christ and from there we unpack the truth about psychic mediums - how it is not our departed friends and family they receive their esoteric knowledge from, but rather demons in disguise.

I haven’t finished the interview yet, but WOW! Angela, you were talking about how similar your story is to Jenn’s, and how God leads us to people with a similar path as us. This couldn’t be more true. Jesus has lead me to you because I so deeply relate to your testimony and I finally feel “understood” as someone who was deeply deceived by the New Age. God has tried to lead me out of the New Age multiple times, and I’ve always ended up going back. I even recently went to a medium again after tragically losing someone very close to me. But, this time, something didn’t feel quite right. There was a darkness surrounding the session, and now I know exactly what it was.
I don’t even know how, but I recently found your interview with Melissa and it struck something in me, and I have since given my life to Christ. I am still figuring out all the details of leaving the New Age behind, as I’ve been heavily involved for the majority of my life. Your videos have been so helpful and confirming for me that I am on the right path.
What’s even more crazy (though it’s surely not a coincidence with God), is that I was watching some of Doreen Virtue’s videos yesterday, and I saw her interview with Jenn. I was so inspired by Jenn’s testimony and I wanted to hear more from her… then this morning I woke up and saw this! Two of the people who have inspired me most in one video. Glory to God! Very happy to hear this story. But can I say, the Catholic Mass is the closest we can get to God while we are still on this earth. The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is God Himself; it is Christ uniting Himself with us, body, blood, soul and divinity. It is a miracle of love. If we ask for the grace to understand this - it will be granted. I grew up in the Catholic Church... and then left... fell away for 20 years. Played with the occult and new age... then in a fit of despair and anxiety... called out for help... and what came next blew my mind. Led me back to the Confession, the to Mass... to Holy Communion. I didn't understand or appreciate it as a child. Now? Truly astonishing...and I'm only on the threshold... just beginning to come to grips with the implications.

God is a light to his people, to show them the way when they are in doubt, to comfort and rejoice their hearts when they are in sorrow. It is in his light that they now walk on in their way, and in his light they hope to see light for ever.

Plus, the last name of Stevens...Stephen was the first Martyr to die for the Christian faith. However, Bewitched shows that if you go along with evil, you can have wacky adventures but end up very comfortable and get anything you want.

I cannot give this enough thumbs up. I had previously renounced all of my New Age practices. But again, after listening to this, I had triggers of more things that I had done and I went back and renounced those as well. Even though I’m saved, I’m still repenting For past New Age deception. And yes, I, too, followed the school of thought as Jesus as a teacher, ascended Master stuff etc. It's all just some persons opinion who decided the rules of following God and Christ are too stringent, so they "created something new, something that makes Jesus more like a man and lessens HIM. Look for "proof," as you go on your journey.

I am a Christian from India and Hinduism is very demonic...you'll see every Hindu will have a thread tied around their hands..I remember my sister in law telling how a daughter of her hindu maid was being possessed by demon called legion and its only when a pastor performed exorcism and then asked the mother to remove the thread that demon came out from this girl...Hinduism is always about serving and pleasing these Gods and Goddesses...Last year a reputed family from south India killed their own daughters because their deity that they worshipped wanted human sacrifice......My Hindu friends says that they have millions of Gods and Goddesses ..

I can't help but see parallels in our past! Grew up Catholic, highly interested in paranormal things starting at a young age, started having prophetic dreams and visions at about 12 yrs old, turned to new age and divination. Even the starseed thing got me. I remember having aversions to anything religious especially Jesus. (Minor possession maybe?) Then, one day I started watching the Chosen. Got hooked. Surrendered to Jesus Christ and I'm like a completely different person. I've come back to the Catholic church...something I once found so off-putting but now I appreciate and value it at a whole new level. Love your content btw!

Hi Angela, Your interview popped up in my UA-cam feed last week and I am very pleased that I have found you. I too have been involved in new age and self help practices since I was a teenager. I was Buddhist for 10 years and recently got baptised Christian. I have been really enjoying your interviews and have been sharing them with friends. I wanted to make a request. I was very intrigued about ayahuasca, psychedelic plant medicine that a lot of new agers are into. I almost did it 3 times but something told me not to. I actually became quite sceptical about it when friends started chanelling, "spirit guides", pleiaidian and venusian aliens. I began to question if these entities were really coming from good source. I was wondering if you could do a program or interview someone about it. Thanks so much for your content. I have been listening to you every day since I came across your channel. I'm in Australia.

Here is where I need help. I’ve never been involved in New Age, but I can see and appreciate its draw. My interest in this is to be able to spot it in the world and assist those under its spell. What I cannot really grasp is how to open and have communication with those that are either willing participants or oblivious to it. At our local elementary school carnival this year they had a palm reader. Innocent fun right? If I send an email to the principal saying they shouldn’t have that as it’s a gateway to demonic activity or whatever I’ll be labeled crazy.

I have listened to a lot of great people of God about the authority of the believer, but none of them have been involved in new age and least of all for decades. I would be so grateful, as l believe that ex~new agers battle with this in a different way. Not sure (?)
I've never really been attracted to scary things either, mainly because it affects me a lot. I easily get nightmares from such things and images can stick to my mind and pop up at random times. So it can be very tormenting for a long time after I've been exposed to the scary stuff. However, I have friends who really enjoy scary movies and things like that. One reason I got is that it gives them a rush of adrenaline to be scared. If you compare it with roller coasters, extreme sports and things like that, maybe it's kind of the same thing. They all cause adrenaline rushes, and they give the feeling of "being alive" because you're confronting your mortality and vulnerability in a sense. You're confronting danger and death. I think people are attracted to different aspects of that, but the principle is the same. Just a theory.

I don't understand but I have been crying out t 09 be delivered and saved by Christ from homosexuality, drug addiction, and all and nothing. I don't understand what's going on but I'm in alot of pain and have thought about taking my life ever since I was young. Now I'm almost 40 and it's gotten worse for me. I have no family or friends for support so I continue to reach out to God but I'm still under attack
I always felt that authentic mediums automatically receive the status of a supernatural Ask Dear Abby. It's an unnatural way to boost all person's involved with confidence into making decisions that are not entirely of their own making.
In my view it's a way to avoid having to make up your own mind because we mistakenly think it's going to be too hard to figure out and take full responsibility for it. Psalm 32:9, 2 Thessalonians 3:3

He is the second Adam and undid what was done and gave us an avenue to eternity through Jesus and his sacrifice. When I heard this, it was another piece to understanding the gift/the chance we have been given. Every day is a struggle right now but eternity is real. My son had an NDE at 8. The message was real. He is real. It’s been 19 years and I’m still human with flaws fighting the influences around me and my family. It’s hard.

People I've distanced myself from are into that whole Ramtha and Kryon channeling. I'm drained whenever I see them ... Almost vampiric.
But always so much drama and bad stuff happening in their lives, and so they double down with more new-Age stuff and channeling etc etc they all have illnesses or look physically sick. Creeped out just thinking about it.

I'm saved and I like to watch horror films and I watch docs about demons and all of that, so I can understand every perspective. IMO, we can't completely fight our enemies, unless we know their ways! Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. It's important to practice discernment and know how to test the spirits. God gives people close to him spiritual abilities to be able to see with our spiritual eyes, so we can protect ourselves and others, by being a witness. With God, there is no fear. Having fear can open doors to negative attachments, depending on how deeply rooted it is. Watching helped me get over that fear over time. I believe I was lead to overcome this, bcuz I used to have horrible nightmares and was petrified of anything scary/horror related. Like shaking scared if I even heard the word ghost, demon, etc. Plus, I was having negative things happening to me each day on top of it, by living people as a child. When I got fed up, Tlthis is when God gave me the power to overcome those nightmares, and got over the fear. I conquered it and was able to banish my nightmare demons, and then the abuse stopped shortly after.
Now, practicing any works of the devil and calling out to it, isn't the way. That's how doors get opened. Intentions are everything, especially subconsciously. It can't have power, when you have God protecting you and have wholehearted faith in Him and His power.
It only gets power when you give it power by being afraid and being spiritually vulnerable. Trauma can open a door. Anything associated with negative feelings can open doors as well. No one realizes how much our thoughts and feelings can project into the spiritual side and affect it. It's important to be aware. Now as an adult, I often have dreams of teaching random strangers to fight demons, and how to see when someone has a demonic/negative spirit attachment. Those aren't scary. I rarely have nightmares anymore that scare me. I'm just not afraid anymore 🤷🏻♀️
