Ford has lost me as a long time customer with these 2025 changes. I have 3 ford trucks in my driveway and have always bought Ford. I’m currently shopping for a dually and with the changes to the Lariat for 2025 along with jacking the price up over $3,000 they can keep their truck. The other manufacturers prices are also insane but they didn’t do what Ford did in 2025. I’m only one person but at some point you have to say enough is enough.
Bro they aren't saving money by leaving off previous standard equipment and charging $1000 for the 7.3. They are making Bank! If one fourth of the super duties sold, say 200,000 or so, have the 7.3 as an upcharge they are making an additional $200 million! Not to mention all the other things they are leaving off and charging the same or more.
My 2013 xlt has tilt head rests and door keypad. Typical accountants at ford dropping features but charging more. These prices are out of control. 10k price difference between a 2022 and 2025 lariat optioned the same
I'm still baffled at the decision that Ford has made on decontenting the Lariat, a very popular trim of the SD. No more power steering column, leather, and having to pay additional for the 7.3 yet not reducing the price of the overall trim is a huge money grab for them. They likely figured the avg consumer won't miss or care, but these are massive purchases, so I hope buyers are aware. I would probably go ahead with a Platinum too, considering the upgrade in interior, more standard equipment, better exterior lighting(projector LED headlamps w/steering, and full LED taillamps), and likely better resale. Ford is giving serious cash off on these trucks now.
The mud flaps and rear wheel liners is a useful, but often overlooked option. Wheel flaps can really cut down rocker panel paint chips and road tar splatters. The rear wheel liners dress up the this location and reduce the amount of crevices to hold/contain dirt, mud, road salt, and snow.
I am glad that I buy the 2024 ford f350 limited glacier gray colored for last year having a limited I know it pricy but totally worth it. And all those change for 2025 for ford it just crazy that they over charge now and some of the stuff already been taking away example back up camera on the tail gate.
This is crazy. About a month ago I got a ‘24 F350 Lariat (7.3L) with a sunroof and the sticker was $72k. I can’t believe that this truck is $8k more and doesn’t have a sunroof.
I had the weathertechs on the last truck and on this one I used the free ford pass points and think they are as good or better then the weathertech no drills.
$80k and you end up with a gas truck, fake leather, and no sunroof. Absolutely outrageous. This cab and frame are basically identical to the 2017 Super Duty, just with some changes to the styling and a new interior. In 2017 you could have a Lariat Ultimate crew cab with a Powerstroke, full 100% LED lighting all around, a panoramic sunroof, power tilt-telescope steering column…for $70k. This truck offers only a couple of features not available back then such as the Pro Power, the all digital dash, the larger infotainment screen, but nothing of real substance. Prices are way out of hand.
On the f250 camper package gets you the overload spring and rear sway bar. On the f350 it's just the rear swaybar. The plow package gets you dual alternators and dual battery with heavier front springs that raise the front about 1.5 inches and the higher front gawr.
JB..good video, I wish you would have driven it as well. I have both my 7.3's in the shop for Maintenace. oil, tranny, and differential fluid change. They gave me the exact same truck w sunroof and it is 83790.00 to drive vs my 2020 and 2021. I'm ok with the leatherette and the seats feel just as comfy but the side bolster that you rub as you get in and out feels stiffer, which is a good thing. I like the cleaner looking dash but like you stated the higher price w less options of the big 3 is disappointing. I have 3.55 gears in my 2020 and the 3.73 feels slightly stronger and I have driven a xlt w a 4.30 gear and that feels way stronger. I agree with you, a Platinum with about the same options was about 4500.00 more and the interior was much nicer. I will wait to see what 2026 brings from GM and Ford and make a trade at that point.
I was surprised when they released the 6.8 engine and only offered it in the base model. All that money invested in development and also money invested into tooling to produce the 6.8 and only offered it in one trim level. Still not sure how many they will sell when it’s well worth the upgrade for the little extra money time will tell.
Owned many ford trucks and cars for the last 25 years and I am done with them. I have a 2022 Limited F-350 that I’ll keep forever hopefully. Interior is crap on it, but hoping mechanically it is solid. The new Fords are ugly. And I love how they charge more for black appearance. I guarantee it is cheaper to make the black appearance versus chrome or matched to the vehicle color. And whoever approved that wheel designed needs to retire and head to the optometrist.
Hey Jb, I ordered my 2022 xl with the 7.3 and 4.30 gears for max towing when I started my dumpster business, and can tell you with that gear ratio if you are driving in normal mode , " not towing " the 10r140 does not use all the gears. From 1st gear jumps to 3rd, and from 3rd to 5th gear, then the rest of the gears. I bought the same truck in a 2024 model with 3.73 rear end and it does use all the gears in normal mode. With the 4.30 gears if I'm doing 70 mph it runs at 2k rpms, and with the 3.73 at 70mph it runs at 1500 rpms. I saved my self 10k by not ordering a 2025 and buying the same truck 2024 model off the lot in November. These prices are crazy! $58k out the door for an Xl stx, fx4 with the 8ft bed. The 2025 model was $68k plus taxes and fees.
You are getting your vinyl seats on your 81k F350 Lariat gasser without a sunroof to make up for the 50-60k electric vehicle losses per vehicle. This is what happens when the CEO of a company is woke!
Nothing different just the same high prices and cheap plastic and tin, and a ton of recalls. These high priced vehicles are a repossession waiting to happen.
They aren’t saving money they are increasing their increasing their profits and kind of forcing people to buy a higher trim level. Probably better to buy a 2024.
It’s insulting to me that ford not only prices these trucks out of the common man’s market. Now there tanking away once standard features on this trim level and charging more for it. Who are they selling these too? Blue collar man cannot afford 80k. Maybe you boomers that didn’t have to pay double and almost triple for the same house like 3 years ago. This truck should be 50k max.
LOL 81k for a gasser. 81k is bad enough for a Diesel. People who buy these vehicles at these prices are shit with money. lots are full of these trucks not selling. Let them rot.
Bought a 24 because I didn't like some of the 25 things like active x and losing the keyless entry. Those wheels on the bap is just horrible looking, I bought the ult sport to get away from those. The power steering wheel I just dont understand the love of the thing. I adjust mine once and it never moves. Why would you even want a power? My pet peeve is still the button layout on the steering wheel, its just terrible and was much better in the 22. Was hoping they change it back in 25. That payload seems a bit low for a gas truck. My 2024 6,7 lariat ult sport has 4213. With more options Great review sir
2025 Ford Charging you more and constantly giving you less for your money along with crap quality! Hard Pass! I had a 2021 F-350 7.3 V8 what a piece of crap it was ! Never again !
I’m sorry 80k for a non diesel truck no thanks and I’ve had 3 ford trucks my first was a 89 F350 crew cab dually diesel and stick my second was a 91 F450 contractor body truck 7.5 gas big block and a stick , and my last one was a 86 F350 dually bullnose diesel with a stick. So i like ford trucks too much a a gas truck

80k for a gasser and now it is a stripped down Lariat. No thanks Ford. Will just wait on RAM to cut prices by 35% and then go in that direction
Bro they aren't saving money by leaving off previous standard equipment and charging $1000 for the 7.3. They are making Bank! 4+k for the black out package? Insane
Less clutter and more motor is a yes to me
I am glad that I buy the 2024 ford f350 limited glacier gray colored for last year having a limited I know it pricy but totally worth it. And all those change for 2025 for ford it just crazy that they over charge now and some of the stuff already been taking away example back up camera on the tail gate.
Yay, another grey truck (said no one, ever).
Heated steering wheel is standard for all 2024 “base” Lariats. Can’t speak on 2025 changes though.
This is crazy. About a month ago I got a ‘24 F350 Lariat (7.3L) with a sunroof and the sticker was $72k. I can’t believe that this truck is $8k more and doesn’t have a sunroof.
Thank for the video
The transmission is also no longer the 10R140 it is the 100 now. Only gas model with the 140 is the tremor
Wow, charging an additional 1k for the 7.3 in the lariat. The price overall is too high for what it is.
Thoughts on the splash guards from factory? Are they any good ir should a guy pass on them and go aftermarket?
I ordered them on my 24' and I like them. For the price I think they are worth it.
I had the weathertechs on the last truck and on this one I used the free ford pass points and think they are as good or better then the weathertech no drills.
Do all black appearance package lariats and xlts come with this grill now?
I want a xt 7.3 with suicide doors. In white and 18" steel wheels for that gvw.

Dude that was 8 years ago.....
Totally agree on the wheels. I really like the sport appearance wheels, black appearance wheels not so much.
does it have a rear sway bar ? What is the difference when you get the camper or plow package ?
On the f250 camper package gets you the overload spring and rear sway bar. On the f350 it's just the rear swaybar. The plow package gets you dual alternators and dual battery with heavier front springs that raise the front about 1.5 inches and the higher front gawr.
Not a fan of the changes. I have a lariat now and am getting a new 2025 HD but I’m actually switching to a GM. More options and lower price tag.
And way better quality
Chevy is dated, who wants it
@@kingcobra7869 haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa yeah, ok I just got rid of a truly p.o.s. 2021 GMC 2500 and into a 24' F350.
Great Review As Always You Had Me At Vegan Leather 🤣
Vegan leather! That's hilarious!
Great Video!

The new 6.8 is a slug
80K for a gas HD? LOLOLOLOL Hope they rot on the lot. But theres a sucker for every seat I guess.
Exactly! As long as people are dumb enough to keep buying these, nothing will change on pricing.
Plastic. It's plastic. There's no such thing as "vegan leather". It's just plastic. They are upselling cheap vinyl seats as premium.
Exactly right. Just like LVP flooring in the housing market. It's not vinyl, it's LUXURY vinyl. Lol.

Looks like they cheeped out on the black appearance grill and used the sport appearance grill.

Gas truck $80k 😢
It called de contenting and raising the price because they have lost so much money on EV’s
Vegan leather, fancy name for vinyl. 😂
Nothing different just the same high prices and cheap plastic and tin, and a ton of recalls. These high priced vehicles are a repossession waiting to happen.
If it's sold, no offense, just don't touch it. That's someone's new truck, be respectful.
Turn it on, there goes a gallon of gas
Vegan leather--you mean Polyurethane and PVS material with plant based additives--- That's a lot of money for pleather
They aren’t saving money they are increasing their increasing their profits and kind of forcing people to buy a higher trim level. Probably better to buy a 2024.
So fewer options for the lariat with a higher price 🤦🏻♂️
Lariat is no longer acceptable after these changes. Have to get a platinum plus now
Buy used, save yourself $$$. Don't get me wrong, nice truck but way over priced.
A ZR2 HD with the gas engine is more than 3k cheaper than this truck, crazy what Ford is charging these days.
It’s insulting to me that ford not only prices these trucks out of the common man’s market. Now there tanking away once standard features on this trim level and charging more for it. Wow 80k for a gas engine lariat shhwwweee
Drop the price $30k and I’ll buy one.
Bought a 24 because I didn't like some of the 25 things like active x and losing the keyless entry.

Great review sir
No one cares Wayne! No one cares!
No one cares Wayne! No one cares!
No one cares Wayne! No one cares!
No one cares Wayne! No one cares!
No one cares Wayne! No one cares!
80 grand for a deathwable truck..that gets 8 miles to the gallon....
Get a better job if you cant afford it.
Why even comment on something you cant afford?
i have never had the death wobble. and i get 13-15 mpg
Those rims are not it.
Damn, I’d be pissed if I bought a vehicle and found out some guy is just driving it around to do videos in. Good info on the vid though.
New Ram 1500s can be had for $35,000. All Dodge sticker prices are being slashed 35%. $82K for this truck?
I like my 20 Lariat much better.
More junk
Nah
