The card pack is a good value for those who can get it for the same price as it was in the store! If this stuff does not come in Core 1.6, then this is a nice collection of Promo and Expansion updates. It is also a nice way to get 4 Monster Grease and 4 Lanterns, things you may want 4 of.
@@BraMithra yep, except some of the Hunt Event typos will be corrected in 1.6 rulebook (the one event that has 1-3 and 5-6 roll result without a 4, or smth)

Strange that the perfect crucible doesn't take any perfect resources now lol. What qualifies something to need perfect things for its crafting? Poots is a man of mysteries.
Yeah I have no idea what the criteria seems to be for needing a perfect resource. It seems to just be the go to for when the old recipe used a monster resource.
Overall I think it's a fine card pack. I'm really interested by the perfect resources. I hope there will be other strange instances to use them, like interacting with certain story events or innovations in weird ways, since the bone and hide just have flavor text but the organ has an interesting ability.
I do not own the 10th anniversary White Speaker, but it is possible you could use it to gain bleed tokens for that Fighting Art. I know it is involved in a Echoes Strain Milestone.

You have to be quick with Black Friday's. I was more concerned with getting Lonely Tree as that was the last expansion I needed. Then I got Echoes 3 and 10th-anniversary survivors.
Hmmmm, factoring in that there are plenty of expansions fixes - this gives hope that the first 2 waves of expansions will get a massive reprint. Right? Right….??
@@BraMithra it would make sense if the expansions got a reprint alongside CoD, especially if there's anything they made for CoD that Poots 'n' Co. decide should also be added to a given Expansion's baseline due to just how much they improve that monster without needing to tie in/synergize with other non-core content(though how they'd then handle the mess of "new buyers get update in the expansion, old buyers get update via CoD; so new buyers get duplicate content in CoD?" I mean I suppose that would be fine depending on how much content would be in that overlap) Like isn't LionGod getting a complete and radical overhaul to its design in CoD?

What will likely happen is a reprint will be put together AFTER GCE is out of production. The fixes from 1.6 card pack will be included in the reprints. Then for Flower Knight, hopefully the two AI cards that are in the GCE will also be included in the reprint. Lion God and Flower Knight will then get changes made in CoD, and both include new cards. Lion God getting significant changes. Without the CoD changes being part of a reprint, new players will need to also own CoD before getting Silver City. New players will also need GCE, (if those AI cards change how Flower Knight players) and CoD for Flower Knight before getting Abyssal Woods.
@@BraMithra unless Silver City and Abyssal Woods have the relevant update components in them as well? Or they just make all future printings include updates and us old-timers will need to buy a Card Pack to update with...

It is hard to gauge the rarity going forward, but right now, if targeting a specific one then you should expect to see it 1 in 4 hunts. Getting any of them is slightly over 1 in 2.

If perfect organ is in the 1.6 core also, Do you think you can use 2 of each if you also have the LCP? Could that be a thing...
I would think for balance sake you do not use multiples. However, the best part about board games is that you can do whatever!
Honestly, "perfect" materials seem like rare drops on monster hunter. 🤔 hopefully the drop rates aren't that bad.
