I'm so glad you like it🥰! There weren't any other photos of the concerts beside the one from Rheinpfalz, and even that one isn't very good, so I thought I'd use my own material. I was especially afraid adding the curtain call video would be too weird, but the response has been quite positive so far, I'm relieved😚.
After hearing Blechacz’s ultraextraordinary recent recording of the Chopin piano sonatas plus the Barcarolle and the Op 48 in F# minor Nocturne, I would like to know what his next recording projects are. This will sound greedy but I’d like the Études (both sets), the Nocturnes, the Scherzi and the Ballades. 😊
I'd love for Mr. Blechacz to record those as well, but he has divulged in a few recent interviews that his next album will be Chopin's Mazurkas😉. He also said he's working on an album with an orchestra, though it's less clear what the content is. He had plans to record Beethoven's piano concertos before the pandemic, however, he's brought up Mozart and Schumann's piano concertos as possible candidates rather than Beethoven's the past few times. He has expressed an unwillingness to record Chopin's Ballades for some reason...hopefully he'll change his mind🥲. Just know that he seems to have this rule of not recording pieces he hasn't performed in public beforehand (he explained that the feedback from the audience and the experience from trying the pieces out in different concert halls are both essential to his studio interpretation), so of all the choices on your wish list, I think the Études are the most unlikely to be recorded in the near future (I don’t think he has played them once since the Chopin Competition😅).

@@r.blechaczradio I can most definitely tell that he puts immense thought, not to mention skill, in his playing. I know this will sound like a gross exaggeration to many but I don’t believe I have heard the Chopin sonatas played as well as Blechacz has in his new recording. The revelation of new details is like seeing an old master painting after cleaning. I can’t stop myself from listening to the disc over and over again. 🙂
