Great vodcast, nice job! Regarding your second example, I would say that the available topographic info is of high importance. When a river appears to be meandric like this one the surveying data should be highly accurate and , thus, expensive. If my study is on a tight budget the go to option would be to model two parallel reaches interconnected with a lateral structure.
I ran into the date error when I was working for a start-up and got brushed off until we almost lost a huge international customer over it. it’s actually a simple code fix.
The ability of 2d flexible mesh models to be run quickly in a coarse mode then easily rerun with a finer mesh, or a specific area on higher resolution like the area around a groin in a huge river ?
Hello and thank you for your interesting video. I have always been using the HEC softwares, but i understood in these days of the iRIC package tools (i-ric.org/en/about/) and I would like to ask you a review/opinion over this software. is it better to stay in HEC or there is some tools that could be better to know? thank you
"2D or not 2D" is a pretty great title. Also, "Full Momentum"
Nice job with this one. I liked the example Rivers at the end, especially that lower Columbia River model.
Yeah, who ever made that model has some mad HEC-RAS skills! ;-)
I love that y’all are working on this. it’s fascinating! thanks for sharing.

Need more modelling videos from you guys. Great discussion.
Nice job! Quite a lot helpful info! Any updates on ver 5.1/6.0?
Version 6.0 is coming very soon. Stay tuned!
Great discussion guys! thanks for sharing
