I can't wait unit they come out with big boy models.
That's really neat! This is literally the first high frequency split phase inverter that I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing!
It is the first from reliable
Impressive I think I want one will wait to see the next video
Nice. I've been waiting for a small 240v split phase inverter like this for my well pump. Hopefully they offer it in 24v.
Yes they do
if your well pump runs in only 240v then you can just use any regular 240v inverter set to 60hz (should be jumpers inside)
@@KuntalGhosh yes very 👍
@@KuntalGhosh Thanks I will look for one. If you recommend one 240v, 60hz, 24v please share a link. Thank you.
Nice review. I think this is the first 240v/120v split-phase I've seen from Reliable.
Yes it is
Sweet, i need one.
very nice inverter
Im using a 4000 watt sungold splitphase inverter and it powers both side of my camper 120 and my 9000 btu minisplit. Its been great so far. I use victron 150-70 and 30 kw of lifepo4. I have a couple other inverters and a allin one also with 14 kw of leaf batteries but the low frequency split phase is awesome in my opinion. Thanks for doing the videos i have stage fright lol or id try it
I also love LF inverters, but I test HF for everyone to see. One day, they should be better.
@@GoingOffGrid101 I think as long as they are kept around 80 percent of their rated max capacity they will last forever. That and over size wires helps also
I've purchased one of these inverter recently (the 3,500 watts version). I was able to use it to charge my Honda Clarity plug in hybrid. Charge to vehicle @ 12.2A x 240V (2,952watts). DC input @ 67A x 48V (3,216watts). That give me approximately 92 percent efficiency. Not too bad for a sub $600.00 inverter.
I agree, I like this inverter
Also, for the past few days, when I am not charging my car, I plugged in one of my ductless AC to the 120V outlet and run the AC off my solar..😊
@@lan2me I might have to try the 3500w model
@@GoingOffGrid101 the strange part about the 3,500watts unit is that the cover unit said 3,500watts, but the outlets have printed "limited max amp =12.5amp???"
Anyway, my unit came with a loose connection on one of the 120V outlet. It's a good thing that I opened and checked the wiring before plug it in, otherwise the magic smoke could have escape....😊
@lan2me always a good idea!
Those madmen finally did it! How much does it cost?

Nice to see a smaller inverter with split phase, all I've seen in the past are 6000w or bigger and I think you need to link two together? I am really interested to find out how efficient this inverter is. Is this one a 12, 24 or 48 volt? It looked like you could get it in any of above.
This one is 48v they claim 91% I believe, I'm pretty sure you can get any voltage
Nice day I just received a 240-volt step-up transformer to mess with some 220 v yard lights extremely bright LEDs I already have 2 3000 watt inverters but these are definitely nice do you think they will ever integrate a soft start into these inverters
this one says it has a soft start, I will be testing.
5:14 that does not look right, each Hot (Line) terminal of each duplex is joined by that one red wire between the duplexes Hot terminal and then the other Red wire goes to the PCB, so each Hot (LIne) of each duplex is not connected to proper L1 and L2. Is that what I'm seeing? If you measure AC Voltage between the Hot terminal of each duplex, do you get 240VAC?
the top is neutral on both plugs and the bottom is line 1 and the other receptacle bottom is line 2
@@GoingOffGrid101 Looking at the duplex, the Neutral on that 20A duplex is the one with extra side slot which is located on the bottom, the smaller slot on top is Hot.
Question do you know if this split phase could ac couple. I have a bunch of enphase microinverters and would love to use something like this as a cheap way to make my own minigrid during grid down scenarios
I don't think so, but there are ways around it, I tested it once, you need a stable load on the grid tie inverters like a 1500w heater or so. the enphase inverters will try and increse the AC voltage from 120v to 121 and then to 122 and then 123v and will keep getting higher till they either spit out a fault of some sort or blow up :S
@@GoingOffGrid101 gotcha I saw a guy do some crazy trickery but prob not worth it. I saw the eg4 6k split phase had ac couple feature but never saw anyone set it up
@@plojm123 i think thats to back feed the grid no ?
@@GoingOffGrid101 I am going to try to see if my buddy will let me test he has 1 of those 6kw eg4 split phase units
The grid out function is disabled on the firmware for the us. But the ac couple option is still there so may work off grid I need to test
@@plojm123 sweet let me know if it works please :)
Yes but is it truly split phase, or just 240 single sine wave?
Steve
its a true split, 120v and 120v apposing waves together 240v :)
Please show the split phase 240 volt example!
Will do next video
Cool stuff! How much does the inverter cost?

Nice. Wonder if they will customise the input voltage. Cheers
I think so, I'm going to ask for a 60v unit
@@GoingOffGrid101 I'd try a 36v if they do it
Need 12V too.
Do a update
Like that, it has one transformer
I agree it's better
I PURCHASE 4000WATT, HOW IS YOUR UNIT WORKING OUT ??????
They have a 4000w split phase unit? Mines is fine so far.
@@GoingOffGrid101 JUST START TO MAKE ONE.
Smart move buying a low frequency, transformer based inverter instead of one of those cheap high frequency, low surge, short lived inverters that offer short life expectancies, especially when powering inductive loads.
Yea gotta be careful with the HF inverters
❤ passa link
It weighs 16 pounds
25 to 35 LOL
Yea just getting weak I guess 🤷
