Saw it last night. Would make a good double feature with Immaculate. The scene where Margaret was locked in the room and heard and saw the burned nun was really good. Until you saw a full view of her. Trying to make out what that was far away in the darkness was absolutely fantastic! If only the whole movie was in the style of the 1970s trailer they released...oh well I did love all the monster stuff and body horror. That made it stand out more from the standard "quiet quiet BANG" jumpscare garbage. I also think the whispering/chanting voices all in the surrounds and secret room right behind the head nun's desk were direct references to Suspiria. Did you think Andrea Arcangeli (Paolo) looked like Alan Tudyk if he was cosplaying as Bradley Cooper or Ryan Gosling?
I wasn’t expecting too much of it and I was greatly impressed for how good it was made . The 1970s cinematography, the well-crafted plot, the increasing tension and sense of terror, and above all, the great acting from the actress who plays Margaret. The use of the original music score at the end of the film was really unsettling. This film deserves to be up there with the original trilogy.
Happenin ' lads 🖐️ Jonny here. You popped up on my suggested today (because we review similar stuff I'm assuming). Great wee review, I'll check out more of your stuff over the weekend (sub'd in the meantime) 😉
The Omen is my favourite horror film. Omen 2 and 3 I also love. Omen 4 is crap and the remake is so-so. This film has the vibe of the original. I loved it. Well acted and directed but the end had obvious studio interference. It has questionable tie ins to the lore of the original that don’t make sense but hopefully that will be explained somehow in the future. Overall I loved it. Very well done movie.
The plot was weak by inception!! Damien was born from a jackal and not from a human! If I want an antichrist born from a human I’d see Rosemary’s baby or Immaculate!! I’m sure the body horror is fine! However, that plot is poor.
Boy, the possession scene after the car accident just as she’s about to deliver was hypnotic.

I totally agree, she delivered some superb acting!

The first Omen film is terrific. Part 2 is a menacing dark ride.

The original omen was boring and shots were to long dragged out and zero scary

Have you seen it?
Are your movie reviews done badly, or do you only review bad movies? I'm confused, mates!
