Avec "Aventine", Agnes Obel étoffe un peu plus l'univers intimiste et onirique de son premier album, le grandiose "Philharmonics". Derrière un piano épuré emprunté à Satie, la Danoise de Berlin étire ses miniatures vers davantage de grandeur. Comme d'immenses espaces sonores que sa voix réverbérée vient magnifier. On se laisse flotter dans cette sublime matière sonore. Dans ce rêve éveillé encore plus subtil que sur son prédécesseur. Moucheté par quelques violons ici. Ou par un violoncelle là. Un disque logiquement Qobuzissime pour confirmer le talent d'une musicienne hors du temps. Une musicienne qui livre ici, du bout des lèvres, quelques clés pour appréhender son univers.

So...very...beautiful. Her music vibrates with my soul. It is like trying to explain why or how I love. Her music is a mood, an expression, an emotion filtered through composition. I listen to Aventine whenever I want to be alone and at peace...self reflective and introspective. Okay. Yes. I'm in love with her. *smiles*
Ariane, I gain the same type of solace and respite from the world with her music. There's a timelessness and familiarity in her music; the beauty is so overwhelming that it becomes immediately accessible. It's magic that can only be created with pure artist intent, passion, and humility. She's without a doubt one of my favorite composer/lyricist/pianist/vocalists at the moment. To say she's a monumental talent is putting it lightly. Her humility and sweetness expressed in this interview makes her all the more admirable.

Incredible woman. Simply in love with the voice and pronunciations of English words on her albums. Simply amazing. I'd love to thank her for the good vibes when I'm stretching my lone nights. Wanted to take my girlfriend out to the concert in Amsterdam soon, yet it's sold out. Goddammit.
Her music takes me to a place of peace I cannot get to otherwise. Seeing her in concert tonight at the Ford Theater in LA, so excited!
j'adore ces artistes qui ont du mal à expliquer comment ils voient leur musique alors que leurs auditeurs ressentent des émotions de ouf en les écoutant... ça prouve qu'ilssont loiiins dans leur domaine, paradoxalement 😉 et en plus, ils se prennent pas la tête. Je suis un grand amateur de rap, mais depuis que j'ai découvert Agnès, elle m'emmène ailleurs à chaque écoute 😍 Elle devrait être beaucoup plus connue en France selon moi. On t'aime 😘

I only recently discovered her music- it was used as the theme music in ‘Cardinal’- and I adore her work. I’m 50 years old and think it’s still important to listen to new music. Radio, even more ‘alternative’ ones that I prefer ( I hate most mainstream stuff) unfortunately plays a lot of rubbish hip hop crap etc as well.
Thank goodness for Spotify and, in Australia, ‘Rage’, an all night music video show on Friday and Saturday.

All the questions seem very vague, it's like they are asked just for the sake of asking then out of genuine interest.
I think it was his delivery that made some of the questions awkward, but I think they were essentially good questions.
What's actually really interesting is that, despite the vague questions, agnes responds to them with her own style. She is a very intriguing woman, something you hear when listening to her songs and lyrics. Great respect
