How to make the NIU NQi sport faster?

- What does the video show?
The picture shows the display of a NIU NQi Sport (aka N-Sport) before and after the update with a modified firmware for the FOC (Field Oriented Control = motor controller).
Starting position:
With the NIU NQi Sport, the speed limit is reached at 45 km/h (48 - 49 km/h according to the speedometer) straight ahead. What is not in the least problematic in the middle of the city (you are fastest there anyway), can be annoying on longer 50 km/h sections.
Solution & result:
Firmware update of the engine control (FOC) with the file FOCN55.bin. This file was imported via the NIU H1 diagnostic device. This file increases the speed of the modes 1 and 2 only slightly, but increases the maximum speed in the driving mode 3 by about 10 km/h. When the battery pack is fully charged, the speedometer shows just over 60 km/h straight ahead at full throttle, and still about 55 km/h when the charge level is low.
Good to know:
This is an unofficial update that can negatively affect the manufacturer's warranty and have legal consequences, especially since in this class many people have the limit "45 km/h" in their driver's license. - Авто та транспорт
Wenn in Zukunft ein gesetzt kommt in dem wenigstens wieder 50 km/h erlaubt sind oder mehr bei dem AM/B Führerschein dann würde so ein Update auch rechtlich im Rahmen sein. Aber ich glaube man kann sowas nicht erwarten.
Trotzdem cool das sowas angeboten wird , sofern man mit bedacht fährt sollte sowas kein Problem im Straßenverkehr sein.

Wo bekomme ich denn so ein diagnosegerät her ?
Why does this not work on NIU nqi sport x version? We tried but it only goes to 40km/h so it goes slower like something is restricting it. But when we held in the front brake just a little it started doing 65km/h?
It should work fine on all NQi Sport with manufacturing date between 2018 and 2022 - using the correct firmware, of course... What is "NQi Sport x version"?
@@mobilize-switzerland we have a 2023 version with the bigger screen and battery. When we update foc with diagnostic tool it restricts the moped. And the top speed is slower at 40kmh instead of ~65 kmh
@@mobilize-switzerland and when we try to go past 40 it’s like the moped presses the brake by itself. Because it does like a full stop so it can’t go past 40

It's not about mph but km/h. The NQi Sport is not at least stressed when you ride with 55 km/h. But you're right: Everyone who does the speed update does it on his/her own responsibility.
Plus of course the battery needs 2 for the extra draw/drain

@@mobilize-switzerland You think that may be the problem or it may be something else.
We have dozens of NQi Sport out there and have never had a problem with the dashboard. We once had a problem with electrical statics that resolved itself after 24 hours. And if the dashboard really has failed: it's very cheap.

FOCN55.bin findest du z.B. hier: www.elektroroller-forum.de/viewtopic.php?t=9244. Ein Diagnosegerät hat jeder NIU-Händler. File auf Diagnosegerät kopieren. Menüpunkt "FOC UP" drücken und den zwei, drei Schritten der Anleitung auf dem Display folgen.
Ja aber das Problem ist kein Händler den ich angeschrieben habe will mir das Update aufspielen 🥺
