My father bought the 2002 Silverado brand new when it came out. I thought he was a super hero not knowing how much debt he went into to get it. Worked a 9-5 for 11 years while we kept that truck. Took us everywhere back and forth and ten more times. Passed it down to my brother who ended up totaling it in 2016 and i remember I hated my brother because it was supposed to be mine after I came home from the Army. My brother passed away almost two years ago, driving his own Silverado and I miss my dude so much. Just sitting here in my 2021 Silverado thinking to myself how funny life really is. Some trucks are really priceless. Started with my father and the legacy lives for my brother. Nothing like a man and his truck.
God bless you brother. Going through it myself. Except,my brother gave me his 1968 Camaro. I take it to car shows, when I win,I tell everyone my brother built it.
I sold my 1989 silverado when I was 20 to buy my wife a ring to propose. 10 years later I sang my 1 1/2 year old son to sleep singing this song to him. Life is weird sometimes.
As a 45-year-old war veteran, I’ve lost every relationship and failed at everything. One day, I was crying in bed and prayed to God. I told Him I had nothing to offer but my broken heart. He spoke to me, saying, “It’s okay to fall apart, I’ve got you.” Then He said, “I’ve got amazing things in store for you, just trust me.” 3 weeks later Seeing my life turn around for the good and God using Teresa Janette Brock, who changed my life. After reading about her, I found her website and reached out. Her kindness led me to a business venture I never imagined I’d enjoy. Her guidance gave me a new sense of purpose and community. I have to honestly say when I first heard about Mr. Morgan I was a believer. Hearing this song brings me back memories of my 68 Chevy that I had a sale so that way I can start my new family it was the best damn pick up truck I had for 15 years but it was well worth it I’m now married for over 22 years. Keep up the good work young man you’re going places and with the good Lord by your side and those lyrics are pouring out you sir I can see you in the near future being male entertainer of the year entertainer of the year and even one day Hall of Famer. You and Luke Combs saved country music in the 2020s thank God somebody finally woke up
"money's kinda tight but love don't care". that line hits home - this song brings me back to the days i was falling in love with my wife who lived in another town. every friday after work i'd have my old truck loaded up with a change of clothes and 50 bucks worth of gas to get myself up the highway. radio blasting and a grin on my face the whole way... i drove that thing into the ground those days... but that ol truck got me the prettiest girl in town. i remember the day she broke down and got towed away. felt like i lost a best friend. bittersweet, but i can't help but smile thinking back on those days.
I love Morgan Wallen. He literally songs about my life in every song he sings. Cheers to all the small town boys workn 40+ to keep the lights on and the baby's belly full and the latest Morgan Wallen CD to play on repeat down them back roads with ya girl singing every word to every song with you letting that sun set behind that power line trail while we kill the head lights and let the stars light up that dirt road so we can slow dance to "cover me up"... Before Monday rolls around
This song is me right now, I’m the wild eyed teenage kid. Just got my now passed neighbors 2005 Silverado and this song makes me think of him as well as the girl on my mind. Never before has a song been so freaky realistic to the situation I’m in at the moment and is the exact reason I live Morgan and his music. He really knows his way with lyrics and his voice just makes it even better.
WHEN MY SON JOSH WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL I BOUGHT HIM A 2001 CHEVY SILVERADO..... NOW 8 OR SO YEARS LATER RUST HAS DONE ENOUGH DAMAGE TO IMPROVE GAS MILEAGE ....IN A WAY..... HA HA ---- HE HAS MANY MEMORIES IN THAT TRUCK, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAMES, DATES, GIRLS, PERHAPS A FEW BACK COUNTRY ROADS TRIPS , FRIDAY NIGHTS AND BEERS ETC. AND MORE THAN I, AS A PARENT, WILL PROBABLY EVER KNOW..... NOW DRIVING THIS TRUCK MAKES YOU HAVE TO GET A NEW KIDNEY AS IT IS OLD, RUSTY AND RATTLES DOWN THE ROAD MORE THAN I COULD EVER EXPLAIN --NOT FUN AT ALL - AND I HAVE TOLD HIM SO ------ BUT AFTER HEARING THIS SONG -- I PRAY TO GOD THAT HE NEVER NEVER NEVER SELLS IT --- LOVE TO MY SON JOSH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great song and story, I just gave my 2003 Silverado to my 17 year old son. It was my first new truck I bought with my own money and the stories she could tell him man.
Me and my dad have always been so close. I remember the day he bought his 1986 Chevy Silverado 4x4 350 1500. Me and him have had so many memories in that Ole truck. Plowing snow men, riding around, there was almost no where that truck wouldn't go it was a beast. Well he didnt drive it too often. Well after maybe a year or 2 of having it the transmission went out and we barely made it home in 4 low the whole way. My dad was tore all to pieces and so was I. Ive seen so many that look just like it and it brings back so many memories..
Sold my 03 Silverado when I was younger to buy my house… I cried. Was sweet. Life moves on. Got married… promotion… birth of my son…. Now have a 21 GMC AT4 all tricked out. This song is awesome.

First time I heard, "The Way I Talk," I knew I was going to love everything this guy puts out. And I wasn't wrong. He's quickly become one of my favorite artists.
@@thecrossoncottage "The Way I Talk" is definitely my favorite, but I have yet to hear a bad Morgan Wallen song. I listen to his music on Pandora all the time.
The first car I drove at 16 was my dad's 1998 white silverado with a red interior. It was my parents first car when they got married. Dad bought it brand new off the line when he worked at GM. I can't tell you how hard this song hits home. That truck turned heads, people would ask me if it was for sale and I'd have to say no. I've had so many memories in that truck but it has many more than me. I've had my heart broken and mended in that truck. It knows everything I've been through. I love that truck
My dad taught me how to drive in a black and silver Silverado. He's since passed and the truck sits at my grandparents old place sunburnt and starting to rust a little but otherwise still runs good. My dad didn't care about money , just living life to the fullest and so giving of his time ❤️ I miss you Jimmy/Dad. We burnt the honkytonks up didn't we 🤣❤️
My favorite country singer by far!! I get lost in his music and totally feel the emotion he put into his music! My favorite right now is seven summers 💜

One of the most underrated songs on the Dangerous album. Reminds me of my old ’99 Mazda pickup that I had to let go of after too many repairs. It’s crazy how you can tie so many memories to the vehicle you drive.
Late night and sanding out the first coat of paint on the raceboat listening to his music makes a tedious job almost enjoyable, perfect voice , perfect arrangement, minimum production , rare talent 👌
This song takes me back to 16 like it was yesterday. Driving my Chevy S-10 around, thinking I was the king of the world... Listening to Renegade by Tim Mcgraw. Funny how music can take you back and feel like you are 16 all over again. Great song!!! I have a 14 year old son now, and I see him in my mind with this song, as he is almost to this great stage of life... Great song, brother. Made my day when there aren't a lot of great things happening from day to day!
I grew up in BFE northwestern PA listening to country music. Went off to college, thought I was too good and cool for country music, moved to Denver, got caught up in city life, and now yearn for the country again listening to this album.
It was a 93 obs step side , 350 5 speed standard shift , 4x4 silverado on those mags and mickeys for me , I let my best truck go to move forward in life with my best girl , thanks Morgan this song always hits home
About to sell my 1995 Silverado Z71. Pops gave me this truck, my very first. I drive a Dodge now, but that bowtie will always have my heart! Hope someday when I give my son his first Chevy he will appreciate it like I did. All love from me and mine to all of you & yours!!
This being my top favorite song by him, he really changed the game when it comes to country music now days! All y'all new country singers need to take notes from my boy Morgan!
I've had this 05' 2500 since I was 19, we've got alot of memories together. Hope the day never comes when I have to get rid of it, but if it does I know it had a great run. This song just hits home for me 👍
My first brand new car is a 2003 Chevy Silverado Z71 in December of 2002. Bought it in Jacksonville, FL. It’s my 3rd child😂. Still in the family in Waimanalo, Hawaii, 22 years later and it’s a beast. Thank you Morgan for appreciating your Silverado! 🤙🏽
I want one so bad I can taste it , and that ain't a figure of speech ( if you know you know) I've always had ford's and something has changed in me to want a Chevy . Only one I owned was a 97 Cheyenne and it was my fav truck I ever owned , had to let her go , and now I'm working on getting a new one ..
I haven't seen a country artist blowup this big and transcend country since Garth Brooks. Morgan is such a huge talent. I sure hope he stays true to country music and his fans. It will be soul crushing if he sells out and goes the flashy pop route. Aldean has had the success and loyal base one because of the music, but more because he never strayed from what got him so far. I have paid to see Morgan live twice. I love his music, but wanted to support him as a big F... You to the left and cancel culture. They will never support who he is, I sure hope he knows that.
Thanks for the great love ❤ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to music, and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my music❤❤may God bless you..
My comment isn’t about a Chevy, it’s about a Ford. I remember my father had a 2001 Ford F550 Super Duty dump truck with the 7.3L Powerstroke, and that was the first truck I learned to drive in. He put a different bed on it, and it was BEAUTIFUL! I loved that truck. When my father came home with a lightly used 2018 Silverado 1500 LT 5.3 in the late summer of 2021, he decided to sell the F550. I teared up as it rolled out of the driveway for the last time. I started to hunt for my own diesel truck. I ended up getting a rusted out 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the LB7 Duramax, and swapped it into an 04 chassis. It has been great, but it doesn’t quite capture the feeling that the Ford gave me. I am still searching for that same truck, and I hope one day I can buy it back. I HATE the Chevy my father has! Pick on me all you want for tearing up, but that F550 has gotten my father and I through a LOT of hard work!

My husband bought a 2000 Silverado that our son used to wash and detail, telling his dad "one day, this truck will be mine and I want it to look good". Sadly, that day came sooner than expected when my husband passed unexpectedly. Even tho our son bought himself a brand new Truck, he still has his dad's old Silverado. This song makes me smile and gives me great memories.
This is my first comment here on UA-cam. But I couldn't not comment on Morgan and THIS SONG! I freakn love it! And as far as LOVE goes, this guy selling/sacrificing his Silverado to buy his girl a wedding ring is what's up!! Nothing says I love you more than someone putting someone else's happiness before their own.. And Morgan with his voice and emotional energy he put into this song makes it so believable that a love like this is really possible and just waiting to happen for us all who hasn't already got it like this. It restored hope for me. My favorite song ever!

Damn this sounds even better than the mastered version, just his pure voice!
This guys voice is a gift to the world. I admit i only knew a few songs of his till this last week or so. Now? cant get enough of his music.
If he didn't record a session for "Quittin' Time" Imma be salty
Agreed. Fantastic song!
bro , deadass was just listening to it for the first time really sitting down and paying attention. absolute master piece
Yea, not surprised he has a song written by one of his idols......Chief. Great song.
Yep! That's my favorite from his album. 🥰
Jesus loves you and is with you forever
My man , you got a song right there!!
Damn man that’s my life
Great words from a 61 year old never to late .
🔥🤘🏽
whoa!! this is a song for Morgan Wallen or yourself to sing right there!!

Most underrated song on the album.
yessss
Only the real ones understand it
its easily the best one
"865" is pretty underrated too
I think it’s my personal favorite on the album
What a great song and story, I just gave my 2003 Silverado to my 17 year old son. It was my first new truck I bought with my own money and the stories she could tell him man.
This literally made me tear up. I can't imagine loving anything more than my Silverado

❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the great love ❤ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to music, and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my music❤❤may God bless you..
Silverado. The official truck of country music.
Jesus loves you and is with you forever
😂😂😂
He literally CAN’T make a bad song.
First time I heard, "The Way I Talk," I knew I was going to love everything this guy puts out. And I wasn't wrong. He's quickly become one of my favorite artists.
@@k.cochran4551 That's my husbands favorite song by him. I literally can't pick a favorite!!!
@@thecrossoncottage "The Way I Talk" is definitely my favorite, but I have yet to hear a bad Morgan Wallen song. I listen to his music on Pandora all the time.
@@k.cochran4551 his new stuff is amazing. Wasted on You is probably my top 3.
Damn right!
Eu, um engenheiro agronomo do Brasil, pegando estrada entre fazendas e ouvindo esse country song, muito bom!
How people could give this song a thumbs down is just nuts...It's literally ridiculous! Awesome.. :)
My dad taught me how to drive in a black and silver Silverado. He's since passed and the truck sits at my grandparents old place sunburnt and starting to rust a little but otherwise still runs good. My dad didn't care about money , just living life to the fullest and so giving of his time ❤️
I miss you Jimmy/Dad.
We burnt the honkytonks up didn't we 🤣❤️

Silverado dealers are going to have some lofty expectations after this...
Not dealers. Personal sales. This song screams OBS or Square body trucks.
Makes me wanna buy another Silverado and I have 2 of em now 😂 third time is the charm I guess
Just got my permit 2 days ago my 1990 Silverado needs work and this song gives me motivation to go wrench on er everyday
Robert Sprotte I wanna go to a chevy dealership and see if they play this haha
Makes me wanna go buy the 82 Shortbed I saw recently. Dude wants an arm and a leg for it, but damn if I don't need it now 😂

Dude this guys guitar player has an amazing voice too. They blend together perfectly.
Hate to be this guy but heres the lyrics, so damn good:
Never thought I'd be calling you up today
Taking out an ad for this Chevrolet
But there's a ring in the window just down the street
I wanna marry her, she wants to marry me
Money's kinda tight but love don't care
Me and this truck been everywhere
Just need a little spot on the back page
Here's what I want it to say
This truck will get the prettiest girl in town
Sittin' right beside you when you're ridin' around
It's got a pretty good radio
If you wanna get her dancin' down an old dirt road
Spent a lot of Friday nights up under the stars
Get you where you need to go and it'll go too far
God knows all thе stories it can tell
I got a Silverado for salе
Don't you think there's a wild eyed teenage kid
Workin' hard all summer just like I did?
Saved up a couple thousand bucks
Got a girl that he's dyin' to go pick up
She'll steal his heart on that old bench seat
He'll wanna lay the world right there at her feet
I can see him smiling ear to ear, ha
And when he reads these words right here
This truck will get the prettiest girl in town
Sittin' right beside you when you're ridin' around
It's got a pretty good radio

Only Morgan Wallen could make me love a song about a Chevy
Hahaha
Same here

He needs to realize he sounds better like this and not mastered for his albums
Know it’s not always up to him, label gets the call on the final mix on the studio version . There’s a reason he puts these out that sound like this
Only time I’ve ever agreed with a Giants fan
Damn right
This performance is mixed lol

My favorite is for sure this song🥺
I know he ain’t gonna see this but I hope he does cause I love all of his songs

@Hip Hop 4k ➐ that sounds horrible
I love songs like this, especially when you can scroll through the comments and hear all the people with similar stories
Well I'm Sir Mix-a-Lot so while they're at it they can hit me up at 1-900-MIX-A-LOT and kick those nasty thoughts

How do you get a video with a Ford truck and a ride to you talking about a Silverado for sale I'd like to know that
This song takes me back to 16 like it was yesterday.

Wait is this my favorite song? I was all over Sand In My boots and 865 then this came in strong! Dude you crushed this album
I grew up in BFE northwestern PA listening to country music. Went off to college, thought I was too good and cool for country music, moved to Denver, got caught up in city life, and now yearn for the country again listening to this album.
You nailed it with this whole album man, love the direction you’re taking with you’re music. It’s unique yet classic. Keep killin’ it💪🏻
I'm seriously in love with this man's voice....Morgan Wallen, I love your music! I will go to America one day to watch you live!!!
I hope you come one day!! I have seen him live in concert he is awesome you will enjoy every minute!! I am looking forward to his next concert!!! 😊
Him and Luke Combs are the two best in country music right now.

Been listening to country music for 20+ years and heard many songs older than that. Of all the songs about trucks, this is truly one of the best!!

I sold my girl for a silverado, best decision i ever made

come on folks, at 0.57 seconds he really leans into this. Amazing sound, no auto-tune. Morgan is the real deal.
His head shake at 2:45 says it all 😀
My comment isn’t about a Chevy, it’s about a Ford.
I get lost in his songs he is so good!

There hasn't been an album this good in along time!!
A love song about a truck… That’s some street shit.
Morgan is the real deal. The best of his generation.
Yeah when Hardy writes his songs
