Itsutsu, Nanatsu, Kasumi and Hakka no Tachi. A Kumitachi-Kata Set of Katori Shintô-ryû. - Фільми й анімація
That is Omote no Tachi. Itsutsu, Nanatsu, Kasumi and Hakka no Tachi. A Kumitachi-Kata Set of Katori Shintô-ryû. Wouldn't call it Sparring. Sparring implies a element of freeplay in Preparation for a Match. I would say "Flow-Drill" would be a better Option if you want a cool modern word to use for promotions-sake of this Video.
Thank You very much for sharing this !

Hi, who is the sensei for TSKSR in Vancouver?
Flow drill n'est pas vraiment un nom approprié pour ces katas.
I see you guys doing the forms but you aren't attacking targets. You guys are superfast but you have sacrificed your accuracy for speed. I see no point in being fast at nothing. Just waving and clashing sticks at each other teaches nothing more than waving a stick. This is supposed to be one attack followed by a counter attack and so on for the purpose of teaching through repetition. However, you guys are not repeating anything more than fast flashy stick banging and have completely missed the point of what you should have been doing. Such a shame.
i think it’s beautiful, even if it is just waving a stick
