Starz 2016 Rebranding With Logos and Feature Presentations. NOTE: I did not include STARZ Comedy or Any of the other STARZ Encore Networks Since they have the rebrand as well.
STARZ is using Museo Sans as their on-air font but it was overused in many companies. They need to create their own typeface which is inspired from the current STARZ logo.
I agree the previous one was great it actually had a star on the logo while here it’s just this normal ass text just standing there in the middle of nowhere in the dark. It looks they went on one of those intro or logo maker programs and there was this style so they took it and made an actual logo with it. I know they tried to make a more “modern” look but it looks wrong.

For my personal opinion, this logo may look professional, but I don’t like it because it is way too bland and something isn’t right about it. I think there’s something missing in this particular logo. Can you guess what it is? Exactly! This logo is missing a star. ⭐️ If you look at all their previous logos, they all use a star, including the 2008 one where it has a star in between the A and the R, which was one of those different ways of how it represents Starz. this logo looks like it was made with a somewhat video editor in five minutes. Looks a little too simple. Seriously, how did this get approved by the boss. Couldn’t they just add a star right next to the “STARZ” text? That could’ve at least made this logo much better, and became a decent representation of the company’s name.
I maybe the odd one out, but I actually like the original 2016 Starz logo. Yes, the black background, and the white text is very uninspired and bland to look at; however, I actually really like the dramatic piano cue and the animation though basic is quite effective as the music does fit with the flash effects. When it comes to the variants, that is where I will agree with most people, it looks very copy & paste as it looks very cheap and tacky. Since when does a dramatic yet drab logo that is black and white like this fit in with "Starz Kids & Family"? The answer: it doesn't as some of the text should had at least a variety of colors and make the background a bit colorful like how HBO has done with the HBO family logos. From a design standpoint, the 2016 Starz logo is really bad, but personally, I like it.

My God. This is one of the blandest 2010's logos I've ever seen in my life. It also looks like it was made in a Sony Vegas in 5 minutes. HBO had a lot of effort in the 1983, 1998 and 2017 compared to this. At least Warner Bros. have more effort in the new logo. This, meanwhile, is just a black background with some lighting and a company name being shown on screen. Worse yet, this is used in ALL of their divisions and subsidiaries. The previous logo at least have a star in the middle of the "a" and the "r", which is a decent representation of the company name. This is one of the three companies that previously have great representations of their company names, but then they are replaced with logos that doesn't have any charm. Summit Entertainment doesn't have its mountain or summit, NBCUniversal doesn't have its peacock or globe, and Starz doesn't have a star.

I love Starz but damn are these logos so lame & generic. HBO stepped their game up last year with their graphics change.
Also it doesn't bring back memories of watching movies when you don't have HBO and no memories of Wow Wow Wubbzy either
