Doggie is ready for his/her plate too. . .lol. Seen this recipe with peaches, can't wait to try it with blackberries. Black berry cobbler is my mom's favorite, can't wait to make it for her birthday. I'll let you know how it turned out. Thanks for sharing.
I just made this and tried it and WOW!!! This is the best and the ONLY cobbler recipe I will use now. The crust was perfect not too soft and not too crispy, just right. I must have researched 20 different cobbler recipies and thank you for sharing, this will be a success with ANY fruit filling. Im going to do a cherry one next for a potluck...I cant wait cause I know its gonna be so good!!!
Been making for years. We call it 1 cup cobbler bc we use 1cup of flour 1 cup sugar and 1 cup of milk. We use 1 stk of butter. You can use fresh or canned fruit. We love it too
Magic cobbler! I want to do this with kids and tell them that the dough goes on the bottom and the fruit on top. And then into the oven, and as long as you don't peak they will become magic and flip upside down. But if anyone peeks, it will not happen. My Mom used to put up about a dozen pies also and whenever we were going to a relatives house for the holidays she would put them into the oven frozen solid right before we sat down to eat. That way she always came with a gift!
We call this the 3 cup cobbler. Bc we measure 3 cups each of four sugar and milk. My mom made it in an iron skillet. She liked using a can of cherry pie filling. Eat it with vanilla ice cream while its still hot. My fav is peaches and blackberry
We make this with yellow cake mix and blackberries... yummy with vanilla ice cream! My grandmom made it with pancake mix in the late summer for breakfast with cup of coffee and whipped cream. wow I am hungry now
My blackberry cobbler is in the oven as I type this! Easy peasy recipe! I want to make a peach cobbler with this recipe but if I use canned peaches what do I do with the juice?
The Finished Cobbler u Showed is it the 1 u made in the Video ? I'm curious if the Cobbler dough moved over the Berries :) Also how many cups of berries was this again I think u said 1 to 1-1/2 cups ?
yes you can, I've never used baking powder & it turns out so good..when you get the melted butter out of the oven pour your berries into the melted butter & then pour the batter over the berries..
Can I use frozen berries for this? Also, can this be made ahead of time (for a friend who wants it for his son's birthday), kept in the fridge and reheated when needed, or will it start to get soggy?
you can use froze berries & you don't have to let them thaw, pour berries straight into the melted butter, then pour the batter over the berries, it makes the best cobbler!! & no it doesn't get soggy..
I LOVE YOU GUYS! This recipe is wonderful. You always have more recipes in the summer and I get excited.

+MrYoubrian That works!
My cobbler is in the oven. Your video instructions are superb. Your are right about the butter, its abit intimidating after pouring the batter.
How did it turn out?
Butter makes everything better, so I say, yes...if you want this dessert to be as good as it can possibly be, I would use the butter.

***** Me too!
Thanks dav1099. How have you been?
Good recipe, and I used frozen mixed berries that completely thawed
Perfect!
JACK JOHNSON IS PLAYING IN THE BACKROUND!!! 💚💚
Looked great! Could I use canned blackberry pie filling for this recipe?
That might be a little too sweet for our taste but give it a try!
frozen berries are better than the pie filling..
Thumbs up for Jack Johnson playing in the background.
Wow.. definitely looked easy... but the stick of butter you used... was it salted or unsalted? Or it doesn't matter?
Typically we use unsalted.
I tried a little less butter than recommended as I found it a bit too greasy for my personal taste. Same with the sugar.
Maybe it was greasy because she said 3/4 of a stick of butter not a stick of butter.
I am gonna give this un a try
Dan Webster How did it turn out?
It was wonderful except my oven is off a bit, gonna try 30 at 350 when my blueberrys get ripe next month.
Let us know how it turns out.
Did mine tonight it was good but I can do better
Baking is tough
I was wondering, is it self rising flour that you're using?
+GeezLouise55 Nope. Good question though.
He loves Will Ferrell.....

Have never done canned peaches so we don't know. How did your turn out?

Yes, it amazingly moves over the berries. We used 1 1/2 to 2 cups of berries. Give it a try and let us know how it turns up.
Thanks :)
Can u use self rising flower instead of baking powder
Never done it, so not sure.

That would work out just fine....assuming you let the berries thaw first.
you can use froze berries & you don't have to let them thaw, pour berries straight into the melted butter, then pour the batter over the berries, it makes the best cobbler!! & no it doesn't get soggy..
Trying recipe
Good!
how do you make the easy cobbler diabetic friendly
I'm sorry to say I have no idea. :-(
Cathy Burt I'm sure you could use Splenda..
This is so easy even I had no problems! Be generous with the fruit.
Agree entirely.
a written recipe would be nice :)
+pearl sherman I guess that is true.
but i made it last night, very good! my butter was salted so that was not the best
Glad it worked out!
No offense, but who is the nut job who doesn't like fresh cobbler with ice cream?????
What the heck was that loud music at the beginning? WHY would you do that??
Too long ago to remember.
