I love easy, healthy snacks. Who knew that blended frozen watermelon could make such a healthy, refreshing and delicious treat! You can certainly add sugar and other fruits to this recipe, but I like it plain or with a splash of sour apple pucker : ) Watermelon is everywhere this time of year. Stock the freezer so that you can enjoy watermelon slushies all year around!

Thank you for posting this! It looks delicious. My father has a watermelon patch and overwhelms me with watermelon every year. I normally eat what I can and give the others away. Now I here's a way to save them for delicious treats post watermelon season. Can't wait to try this!

Just made it and it was absolutely perfect. Something differnt to add to my recipe box being that I am on all fruit and vegetables for breakfast and lunch. I do eat meat for dinner. No special diet it is just how people in Central America eats and I love it!!!!

Slushy, that’s when my magic bullets comes in handy. I've used my magic bullet so much that I only have 2 cups remaining. I remember growing up helping my grandmother peeling the skin from the rind so she could make watermelon preserves. If we (my sister) weren’t cutting watermelon it was figs are quince because she made preserved from each of them. Thanks for sharing.

It's getting close (berry close) to that time of the year where I can find very good sweet and an abundant amount of very sweet and ripe fruits at our city farmers markets and I cannot wait to try making these for me & my niece, shes 8 & she adores frozen strawberries & watermelons while my love is with cantaloupes & peaches. I will have so much to choose from from oh & they'll be VERY refreshing while tryna beat that summer heat we have dwn here in the South.. Oh I can't wait. Good recipe Mo!

:O seeing this thumbnail reminded me Ieft my watermelon in the freezer for a few days now :/. P.S for ppl not getting the same consistency I find that u only get that texture if u have the grinder type blenders, the o es that can grind coffee and spices. They sell them at walmart for $20 and they are the single serve type of blenders. Awesome for sorbet and smoothies
