Attack 5 Responding. F- VEHICLE FIRE. 2/20/19

Company 5 responding to assist Fincastle Company 4 with a large tractor trailer accident. Initial dispatch was for an over turned tractor trailer with unknown entrapment. Upon the arrival of a deputy it was found that there was one over turned tanker truck with no entrapment and a fire had ignited. As the fire grew larger and the tanker had ruptured more companies were added to protect structures and aid in traffic control. Attack 5's assignment upon arrival was to protect a house and barn that was beside a small creek that had flaming gasoline running down it igniting near by brush and trees. Approximately 8000 to 8500 gallons of gasoline and diesel were ablaze flowing down near by streams and compromising the structure of the roadway. Repairs to the roadway are expected to take roughly a month.
