A few critiques. Firstly you shouldnt have an open guard. Keeping your guard closed allows you to use your legs to pull the guy in as he attempts to swing, robbing him of the distance he needs to do damage. Second one of your hands should be palm up while doing the choke to maximize the leverage. Third, your head should be on the same side as the choking hand (top hand) and should never sag down enough for him to get his hands on your face. If he was able to get his fingers into your eyes, you'd have lost the choke. All this should be done with the guard closed to help in preventing him from posturing up and creating space to attack you from.

It’s a fight… if the move is there, fight for that position and submission, if it’s not, go to the next option. This is obviously just for demonstration. If you train, you drill right? When you’re in the chaos and pressure of a real fight, the level at which you drill/train will be what you got to work with… so train hard.

Never in the history of fighting has the aggressor who just tackled the victim, sat there for 2-3 seconds and let the person he is trying to hurt her a grip on their neck. I can tell you, if I was on top of somebody and they tried that, I would head butt them into eternity.
