I just picked these up and they were exactly what I was looking for. These are by far the most comfortable stem style buds I've ever used. And they are extremely well rounded. I don't need the Buds to be the "best" at any one thing. I need them to be good across the board. On that note, these exceed expectations. I'm super satisfied, and I never would have considered these otherwise. I EQ'd these and they sound excellent for my tastes. Better than the 4NC, and close but slightly different to the Oneplus Buds 3. Certainly recommend these.
Thank you for addressing the occlusion issues in your reviews. Almost no other reviewers do this. For whatever reason, I have very severe occlusion and have opted for open ear and semi-in-ear designs that lack the silicone tip. The lack of the tip seems to remove 90% of all occlusion, and the open ear designs have no occlusion, obviously.
No worries! I am rather sensitive to it as well. I always recommend to anyone to get even a cheap set of open-ears to accompany their main buds, rather than trying to max out budget on an all-conquering set that does everything, as I think we all feel the occlusion at some point to some degree or another so that backup set comes in really useful
It has the same problem with calls when the environment is indoors with nearby walls. It just can't isolate because they struggle with sound bouncing off the walls.
Feature wise, top notch worthit full price... However, 6 mics ANC, is a sore spot for me, I did order them and hope for firmware improvements. Thank you for you review.
Nice review. I have replaced the eartips with Spinfit Omnis, i would actually like to see that in reviews (how good are the included eartips?). My experience is that Spinfits are almost always superior. Anyway, agree with the ANC and sound conclusions, Lib 4NC is just a bit better (but profits even more from Spinfit CP100s).
Thanks! I did used to include a 'preferred tips' section in some reviews, particularly where the stock ones are really bad, but the reviews were getting crazy long so I cut them where it wasn't clear cut, and getting the review out in time on this one was a priority. I'll get some Omni's in and a few others and see how I can sneak a section in future reviews - thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the detailed review which was greattt.just 2 questions. 1. How bad would you say the oscillation issue is in comparison to other earbuds? 2. Would you advise getting these over the soundcore Liberty 4?
No worries, thank you! Occlusion is going to feel slightly different depending on the person as the way it sits in your ear is the biggest determinant, but for me, I would say it's more than the other 7 I included in my 'best under $100' video, albeit only really detectable when you're running or on a call. You can mitigate it a bit by trial and error with different eartips. It isn't a massive deal to me, but I mention it because I don't want to second guess how other people feel about it because everyone is sensitive in different ways to different things. Regarding the Liberty 4, I never tried it. It arrived to the UK late (all the big reviewers had covered it months before), and Soundcore don't send me things, so I skipped that one. Sorry!
@@ReganCipher wow thank you for the quick reply! Really apprecaite it. Btw checked out some more videos on the channel and was really impressed with that in depth quality. You have a new subscriber
Agree with you about the LE codec being trivial. My phone supports it, but when enable LE audio in the app, I can't see a difference, I can't hear a difference, I don't even know if it's working or not or what even it's supposed to do. It's a marketing gimmick imo
It's pretty close to Harman. The trebles are nicely done, it's just a bit lacking in immersiveness. Gonna continue playing with the EQ see if I can get it perfect
I’m still on the edge of whether to pick this up or not. I hate this trend of TWS rolling off the deep sub bass, as if you listen at quieter levels it will make them sound thin and cheap. I also HATE this obnoxious trend of anti-occlusion obsession. Buds like the Liberty 4 NC, Oneplus Buds 3, and realme Air Pro 5/6 were nearly ruined because they made these buds shallow-fit. Not only does the shallow fit make the buds unstable, incapable of withstanding moderate exercise, they can even fall out just by leaning the wrong way. Even worse, shallow fitting tips ruin the bass response, and make it hard to get a consistent fit or tuning. Deep fitting eartips allow for a better sound, better ANC, better bass, better fit, and more options for 3rd-party tips. This ridiculous obsession with occlusion can be fixed if you just change the size and type of your eartips. There is no reason to ruin the entire thing just because some people are wearing eartips that are too large, or the provided tips are garbage. The Liberty 4 NC were terrible until I figured out how to use 3rd party tips with them. Using an adapter or stretching wide bore spinfit tips, I was able to improve the fit, comfort, ANC and sound all significantly - it blows my mind these companies won’t just do it right. Luckily the Soundcore Liberty 4NC’s case has enough space to fit better tips, but others like the realme did not. If someone really has an issue with occlusion that cannot be solved by using different eartips, they should just switch to airpod-style, no-tip earbuds. Since I’ve heard these aren’t as deep fitting as the previous set, that makes me worried they are following this shallow-fit-trend. More important, is there enough space in the case to use larger/longer eartips? I can probably EQ to fix the sub bass issues a bit, but the fit is a concern. I live in Canada so these are 100$ for me even with the discount, and it requires shipping/import fees, so I couldn’t just return them for free if they aren’t what I need. Anyone have a pair and use different/larger tips? Is there space in the case for taller ones,
Great review but Can you turn the ANC off? ANC gives me mega headaches, ear pain and nausea (like many others that suffer from ANC sensitivity which is surprisingly a lot of people) and how is the passive noise isolation with the ANC off? And also does it effect the music quality?
Yeah I suffer from it too, although it's only Sony and Bose that give me those symptoms. I covered it in the controls section - you can switch off ANC, and choose which modes it cycles through, so you can only toggle transparency and ANC off, for example. I covered the passive isolation at some point too - it's going to be different with different shape and size ears but for me it was good. There is EQ shift with ANC off like every other set, which you're quite right I didn't cover. The bass floor drops a bit, but you can adjust the EQ to mitigate it 👍
Hello boss, loved the review. What would you recommend me for around 100 usd? The most important features for me is strongest anc possible, clear transparency mode and balanced sound profile. So far these look like they fit my needs but idk if there is anything anything else to consider
Thank you! Earfun just updated the firmware and improved the transparency mode and added an extra 'natural' transparency so that's fixed one of the things it fell short on. The sound is pretty balanced although you might wanna adjust the EQ a little (I included some presets now in case you want to open the sound up) At around $100 this, Huawei FreeBuds 6i and all the ones in my 'best under $100' video are worthy of consideration. There's no clear winner - they are all pretty close in terms of performance, but you can't go wrong with any of them 👍
@@ReganCiphergreat! Thanks for letting me know about the update, I appreciate how much care you provide with your input . The one plus buds 3 looked the best for me for a while but the weak anc made me change my mind,So I think I might go for the earfun as it looks like the next best thing. One last question, I found the galaxy buds 2 pro for almost the same price, do you think I should get them or just stick to the earfun?
It's practically invisible on the earbuds unless you've got a big, bright ring light over it. I do get what you mean though, you don't get the name along the side on Oppo, Realme or Samsung so it is a bit overt compared to some of the alternatives
Yeah it really struggles to separate voices. That's where Huawei and Samsung nail it, by using bone conduction mics in the FreeBuds Pro 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Normal MEMS mics can't compete
@@ReganCipher Yeah it's really strange because I read Scarbirs review and he said that the the mics and call quality was stellar and better than air pod air pro 2. Seems like that may be a bit of an overstatement.
@corsinivideos it's why I record in lots of different locations, so people can understand the limitations. Typically you won't get stellar call performance in every type of scene - even with bone conduction mics, the noise reduction algorithm isn't going to be perfect for the whole frequency spectrum, it will be strong on certain types of sounds and weak on others. That's why they were fine in the outdoor market, which was far busier and far noisier then the coffee shop, but as you heard the close proximity of similar frequency sounds is what the Earfun really struggled with
Ordered these based on the numerous positive reviews, but then heard all the mic tests and I cancelled it as the awful audio for calls is a dealbreaker. Might as well pony up for the Samsung Buds.
@@ReganCipher I was looking at the Huawei Buds Pro 3, but then I remember their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced, and vowed never to purchase anything from them again. Do you recommend anything that has great mic quality?
Really? Their customer service was amazing for me in UK. I had the first FreeBuds Pro and they repaired them for free and even paid for all the postage. But I heard from a few people now in other countries that it's not like that there. Samsung is the only other option for a really good mic unfortunately 😞
The air pro 3 had more then just bloated audio (which was mostly fixed with firmware updates) they also had issues with the audio being distorted when youd take the earbuds in and out of your ears with anc or Ambient modes on. Also the charging case never lasted for the advertised amount of time. Id average about 2 full charges before the case would die. Overall I ended up returning mine. Instead I bought the Tozo T20 which dont have anc or Ambient modes, but the call quality is just as good, the sound quality is better even without hi res audio codec, the sound stage is wider and bass is better controlled. The T20 are also smaller and have better battery life. I wanted to like my Earfun Pro 3 but they just had too many issues for the price.
Agree, I didn't keep them long enough to discover as many issues as that but I did have other problems beyond the sound, most of which I mentioned in the first review. Haven't tried any Tozo buds but do plan to at some point in the future. Thanks for commenting! 🙌
Best review of these after I've been looking at so many. I'm used to the deep fit of the Sony WF-1000XM3s... so am worried these silly "Airpod" type shallow fits will not give me the noise cancelling and immersion and 'deep' silence I'm used to. Hope to be wrong? I'm deciding between these or the Liberty 4 NC. Thank you again from Oz, mate.
Thanks mate, appreciate it! Yeah it's not on the level of the XM3 IMO, the shallow fit isn't too bad but the XM3 are really hard to beat for active noise cancellation strength. The L4 NC are stronger for ANC but not as good overall for features, sound and transparency in particular. Both are decent for the money though 👍
@@ReganCipher Woah cheers for the quick reply! Shame that the XM3 is still a dominator as the left bud basically lasts 45 mins now before dying. Damn batteries! I'm leaning towards the L4NCs.. I definitely don't need any transparency. These are more for late night Steamdeck sessions, listening to podcasts as I fall asleep or with working out at home.. would you still go Earfun then? I know you've leant that way in comments previous.
No worries! Yeah I would probably still favour the Earfun. You'll get better latency performance with the Qualcomm chipset used in the Earfun and I prefer the design and fit over the L4 NC too. The other issue with the Soundcore is the size and shape of the nozzle means you would struggle to find 3rd party eartips that fit it, in case the stock ones don't play well with your ears. That was the main issue I had with them.
@@ReganCipher I have tried so many types of earbuds and it is crazy how the OG Raycon Everyday Earbuds block out more noise with no ANC and stock tips than the Liberty 4NC, Buds 3 Pro, Liberty 3 Pro, Buds 2 Pro, XM5s, etc. I would even argue that they block more noise than the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra's that I use when I sleep in my car between work shifts. The Bose QC Ultra almost mutes the world with foam tips.
Thanks for great review! Originally got Free Pro 3, had to return them bc they were huge for my ears (they are buds not stem shape tho). Is there any chance these would fit me better or are all Earfuns just too bulky? Should I rather get OnePlus Buds 3 instead?
Thank you! Unfortunately, I never got chance to review the Liberty 4. They were released later in the UK than the US, by which time all of the bigger players had already reviewed them. I'll keep an eye out on eBay and put them through the same tests if they pop up for cheap enough!
Haven't tried the Free Pro but you can listen to the binaural sample in this review and this one for the Buds Air 6 Pro - ua-cam.com/video/nA8SzBswW5w/v-deo.html - and decide what sounds best for you. For me personally, I slightly prefer the more balanced Buds Air 6 Pro, which have a bit more treble extension, but you might prefer the warmer, bassier sound of the Earfun, that's why I include the samples, so you can decide yourself 👍
@@ReganCipher ah, right now I use the JLab epic lab if I can’t be bothered to bust out my iems or the Maxwell. It’s pretty solid when it’s on sale, comes with a dongle that uses lc3 I believe.
Hi, I love the other aspects of the earfun air pro 4 but the occlusion is woreying as I mainly use earbud while running with ANC on, so the occlusion thud sound is annoying as i experienced with my current earbud. Which anc earbud would you think is best at this category for running factoring in occlusion?
I get occlusion with all ANC earbuds to some degree, other than the Apple Airpod Pro 2. You've got models like Realme Buds Air 6 Pro and Soundcore Liberty 4 NC which probably suffer less with occlusion than the Earfun, but perhaps aren't so good in terms of stability for running. Personally, I would recommend using open-ear earbuds like the FIIL GS or Truefree O1, as trying to find a general usage set that are also good for running is a bit of a thankless task. It will prolong the lifespan of your main earbuds too, because the mixture of sweat and congealed earwax will very quickly clog up the drivers and reduce the volume of your earbuds. Just my personal opinion from experience!
Thanks for the review! Quick question, is it possible to turn on the earphones without the case? I'm guessing if it's already off it's not possible because of the touch controls.
No problem! I don't think you can unfortunately. I haven't worked out how to switch them off, if it's possible you can usually do it by holding both buds down, but that doesn't do anything here
Read the instructions. Most earbuds with touch controls can be turned on and off with the touch controls. Usually by holding the touch sensors for a few seconds but it varies from ear bud to ear bud. I haven't owned a pair that can't be turned on and off with the touch controls.
Replace the eartips with Azla sednafit standard . My air pro 3 ANC'S works way better than liberty 4nc and they're great taming the muddy bass. Still too warm for my liking but it's better than the stock eartips. I think the sound profile is quite similar to 1more Q30 .
@@ReganCipher I use the crystal for Samsung's buds 2 pro for liberty 4NC kinda love it, though the ANC is tad weaker . 1more Q30 + the Azla xelastec 2 + spatial audio on = super nice 😁 1more Q30 + Azla sednafit standard = fun 🥳
Aren't we all! There's no outright best unfortunately, you have to compromise something because each brand does things slightly differently. For me, at least, I prefer the Earfun. It's true that the ANC is stronger on the L4 NC, but to me a marginal difference there is not important. The sound out of the box is more preferable to me, but that's why I include the Binaural samples, so you can decide on both sound ANC which you prefer. Think of it as like test driving a car. Transparency is a bit weak on both of them, and neither are fantastic for calls in built up indoor environments. Earfun has lower latency for gaming, Soundcore has better battery without ANC but if you start switching everything on, Earfun overtakes it. Frustrating that there isn't a set that does everything better, but for me I overall prefer the Earfun. But mileage may vary.
Thanks for the great review Regan! I wonder if you can use these in single bud mono mode and still have ANC? Also, have you tried the large Kbear 07's or the Spinfit Omni's as alternate eartips?
@@ReganCipher Great! Thanks! Earfun is a solid value in my country and these look to be their best overall product with all the features you could ask for (and then some). I may have just found those elusive ideal budget ANC buds I've been looking for! 😃

I just uploaded my review today, check it out. The Soundpeats sound better, but the Earfun are more feature-rich. I included binaural samples of both, have a listen and see what you think 👍
@@ReganCipher Thanks! Interesting, I have a pair an feel the default EQ is a bit bass heavy...and I like a bit of bass emphasis. Any chance you could measure other EQ modes, like Natural and Bass 1? I would be curious to see how they compare to Default. They are pretty impressive buds, I feel, especially at their $70 USD sale price.
Engine4 has bigger bass, slightly more rolled off treble and a wider soundstage. If you're comparing imaging to IEMs, neither model come close, but both are ok as far as TWS are concerned
Would these or sony c700 be better audio quality than 10 year old wired earphones.(sennheiser cx 3.00) Only started looking at wireless as have changed my phone with no headphone jack now. Though do have a type c adapter. Audio quality is my top priority. Also which is better earfun pro 4 or sony c700
Have you ever had a chance to test Samsung Galaxy Buds FE? I wonder how would you rate them compared to Air Pro 4. I am using Samsung phone so it's hard to give up on their SSC codec.
I have - if you skip to the league table sections of this review you'll see where they rank for ANC and sound in comparison, and I included them in this video - ua-cam.com/video/nA8SzBswW5w/v-deo.html I'd probably stick to the Buds FE. It doesn't have hi res codecs or LE audio, and the battery life is much better on the Earfun, but even without SSC the latency is better on the FE, the ANC is not far short and the out of the box sound is a little better too. I also prefer that the Samsung are so pocket friendly.
I have to ask you have you really done your research on the cost these earbuds because you can't get them cheaper than $100 the lowest I found is 65 dollars
I think it's you that needs to do your research.....firstly $65 IS cheaper than $100, secondly Earfun send reviewers the particulars, including the price, and thirdly a casual look on Amazon reveals they're currently £54....which is $69....which is also cheaper than $100. So yeah, I've done my research 🤣
Thanks for the review. I got myself a pair and they're phenomenal. However I'm having an issue with Game Mode when I use it with Aptx. I'm on Galaxy S23+ Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. When I turn on Game Mode, I hear distortion on the right earbud. However when I turn off Aptx and all the fancy audio codecs, Game Mode works fine. Do you have the same issue?
@@ReganCipher Thanks! I'll try to connect to other devices and see if it's an issue from my phone. Cuz I don't have issue on my iPad (well it's got no LDAC and aptX).
Hey mate, so I tried these and didn't like the lack of seal in ear and middling quality of audio which suffers poor trebles, but then been favouring the realme pro air 5 but find the left bud hurts. Do you have another bud with similar sound quality that is worth it? The nothing ear a? Oneplus buds 3?
Haven't tried the Nothing yet - how about Vivo TWS4? It's tuned similar to the Realme - regancipher.squig.link/?share=Realme_Buds_Air_6_Pro_ANC,Vivo_TWS_4 Difficult to say with the fit though - I didn't have either of the problems you've had with either set, and we all have different shaped and sized ears so it's going to be a bit trial and error for you unfortunately
Stronger ANC on the Earfun but not as much customisation. Transparency mode is better on the QCY. More bass on the Earfun but it's not as fast or punchy. Both sets sound a bit closed in so you have to adjust the upper trebles on both. Both have a good custom EQ. Ear detection works better on the Earfun. Unless you need the stronger ANC, the QCY is a better value buy.
I already answered this a few times in these comments: There's no outright best unfortunately, you have to compromise something because each brand does things slightly differently. The Realme have practically zero occlusion due to the shallow fit design. They probably sound slightly nicer and more open out of the box, and also have better call performance and transparency mode The Earfun have better battery, better latency and stronger ANC, and they stay in (my ears at least) better for exercise. No outright winner between the two. Btw I prefer the 6 Pro over the 5 Pro as they made the touch controls capacitive, so they don't trigger as much accidentally
@@ReganCipher insanely helpful. Thank you Comfort is a big deal for me and I don't enjoy occlusion when running so that will matter also Sounds like I should stick with the realme as battery can be topped up easily. Staying in for exercise is important but if it's got horrible occlusion it kind of takes away from that
Hard to say overall as both have pros and cons. The Earfun have better latency, slightly better ANC, better in-ear detection and better battery life. The QCY have better transparency, are better on calls, have a cleaner sound and are much cheaper. If you skip to the 'league tables' sections of this review you'll see how I scored each of them for ANC and specific aspects of the sound
@@ReganCipher I had the EarFun Air Pro 2's and they were pretty darn good so that doesn't surprise me. I just got the MeloBuds 2 and they're insanely good and was wondering if these would be worth picking up. I'll check it out right now. Appreciate the response
Great review! I do have a question regarding these Air Pro 4 & the Soundcore Liberty 4 NCs. Since I have some hearing loss I'm in the "loud crowd"; I need my music loud. Which earbuds are louder: The Earfun Air Pro 4 or Soundcore Liberty 4 NC? Thank you!
I really like Earfun, but these Earfun Air Pro 4 really leave me wanting more. Earfun, where is the phone call quality of your earbuds in a noisy environment? The Earfun Air Pro 1 and the Earfun Air S were excellent in this area. And above all, these Earfun Air Pro 4 bring nothing more than the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, OnePlus Buds 3 and even the Earfun Air Pro 3, apart from Bluetooth LE /Auracast, which could have simply been added to the Air Pro 3 by an software update 🤷🏽♂️ You behave like Bose with its Qc 2 and Qc Ultra earbuds, and that's really not a good sign for the future of your brand 🤔 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ Ps: comparing your own ANC tests, the number 2 is normally the Qcy Ht08 Melobuds Pro and not these Earfun Air Pro 4 and even with regard to your table for the sound 🔊 quality, the Qcy are better 🤷🏽♂️
I agree about the calls, but the sound is much better than the Air Pro 3. I couldn't listen with them for more than a couple of minutes, and you couldn't fix the tonality even with Wavelet. The ANC differences aren't huge between these models, but according to the dB meter reading in REW as well as looking at the individual wave forms within Audacity, I can see and hear that the ANC is reducing the sound more than the QCY, at least on the Binaural mics and simulated ears
@@ReganCipher Ok ok On the other hand, just a suggestion, beyond the ANC test in the café, it would be really good to also have an ANC test in a fixed environment (your studio for example), and above all, it would be nice to have a reference point for ANC/transparency, the Bose QC Ultra or Airpod Pro 2 for example, it would really rate the ANC quality of these sub $100 earbuds compared to the market tenors at $250-$300. 🙏🏽
@@rolins3279 Dude, why are you being an entitled little bugger? Companies make different products for certain situations. If you want better call quality get their best call quality earbud. Every earbud over $50 will perform well. Please stop nitpicking this guy's very thorough and good review. He has one of the best reviews of the Earfun Air Pro 4 on UA-cam. I actually don't think it's that bad except the coffee shop scene, and that was really loud that day, loads of conversations close to me which I think is where these struggle separating your voice from other voices. It is way short of the bone conduction mics on the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 and Samsung galaxy Buds 3 Pro but that's the limitations of the technology used in standard tws
Obviously the bone conduction buds are 3x expensive :-( @@ReganCipher From your experience, how would the Soundcore Lib4 compare in the same coffee shop scene?
In the outdoor market it performed pretty well for a budget set, it just struggled in the coffee shop. As I said, it's fine unless you're somewhere with a heavy concentration of voices around you, in which case it struggles. This is the reason I include such a variety of samples, so you can make your own mind up based on your own requirements 🙄
In some examples it does, in some scenes the L4 NC is better. It isn't just a case of x mic is better than x, each uses it's own noise reduction algorithm and each is going to perform better in different types of scenes. As I keep repeating, it's why I always include a diverse array of samples. Everyone's interpretation of what is better is different so I hope viewers appreciate this is better than the 'trust me bro' approach of recording call samples with stimulated background noise and just stood outside their front door, which aren't reflective of real life performance

Excellent Excellent review you earned my subscription, good job

That graph looks fantastic for tws. Very iem like.
It's pretty close to Harman. The trebles are nicely done, it's just a bit lacking in immersiveness. Gonna continue playing with the EQ see if I can get it perfect

I snatched mine up last week for $63. Hopefully they'll be ok out of the box.
Two potential EQ's for you if the bass is too muddy: clickpix.org/image/h28man &
clickpix.org/image/h28op3
The bass floor drops a bit, but you can adjust the EQ to mitigate it 👍
@@ReganCipherthanks very much :)
The sound is pretty balanced although you might wanna adjust the EQ a little (I included some presets now in case you want to open the sound up)
At around $100 this, Huawei FreeBuds 6i and all the ones in my 'best under $100' video are worthy of consideration.
The accessive branding really puts me off
It's practically invisible on the earbuds unless you've got a big, bright ring light over it. I do get what you mean though, you don't get the name along the side on Oppo, Realme or Samsung so it is a bit overt compared to some of the alternatives
Could not hear a word of what he was saying in the cafe.
The mic on the Buds 3 Pro is insane. They used a bone conduction one for the main voice mic and it isolates so much better
@@ReganCipher you definitely should. In my experience Tozo has a much lower defect rate then other Chinese brands.
Thank you! Yeah you might find them a bit too bulky. OPB3 are slimmer and don't go as deep into you ears, so they might be a better bet 👍
Great review - For use in an train type environment, which would recommend to give the best noise reduction between these and the Soundcore Lib4?
Thank you! Unfortunately, I never got chance to review the Liberty 4. They were released later in the UK than the US, by which time all of the bigger players had already reviewed them. I'll keep an eye out on eBay and put them through the same tests if they pop up for cheap enough!
Which One Better Sound Quality, This or Earfun free Pro 3 or Realme Buds Air 6 Pro?
Haven't tried the Free Pro but you can listen to the binaural sample in this review and this one for the Buds Air 6 Pro - ua-cam.com/video/nA8SzBswW5w/v-deo.html - and decide what sounds best for you. For me personally, I slightly prefer the more balanced Buds Air 6 Pro, which have a bit more treble extension, but you might prefer the warmer, bassier sound of the Earfun, that's why I include the samples, so you can decide yourself 👍
Looks like a good gaming candidate paired with a dongle, like creative bt-w4/5.
Possibly, the staging isn't big enough with the default sound though. Needs EQ'ing to open it out
@@ReganCipher ah, right now I use the JLab epic lab if I can’t be bothered to bust out my iems or the Maxwell.
Thanks, I've only got the crystals here and they feel a bit uncomfortable. I'll give the standard a go 👍
Btw - yeah - the sound is quite close:

Regardless of price, which do you prefer overall out of these and the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC? looking for the best wireless earbuds under £100
Aren't we all!
Thanks! You can use ANC in single mode, and you could use the 07 L (I just tried, they fit in the case OK) 👍

@ReganCipher, thanks for the review. Could you please provide the EQ mode/setting used for your frequency response measurement?
Measurement was with default EQ, ANC on 👍 I'll add the ANC off and transparency measurements to my squig at some point

I have - if you skip to the league table sections of this review you'll see where they rank for ANC and sound in comparison, and I included them in this video - ua-cam.com/video/nA8SzBswW5w/v-deo.html
I'd probably stick to the Buds FE.

Haven't tried the Nothing yet - how about Vivo TWS4? It's tuned similar to the Realme - regancipher.squig.link/?share=Realme_Buds_Air_6_Pro_ANC,Vivo_TWS_4
Difficult to say with the fit though - I didn't have either of the problems you've had with either set, and we all have different shaped and sized ears so it's going to be a bit trial and error for you unfortunately
Qcy Melobuds Pro Ht08
How do these compare to the melobuds pro?
Stronger ANC on the Earfun but not as much customisation. Transparency mode is better on the QCY.
More bass on the Earfun but it's not as fast or punchy. Both sets sound a bit closed in so you have to adjust the upper trebles on both. Both have a good custom EQ. Ear detection works better on the Earfun.
Unless you need the stronger ANC, the QCY is a better value buy.

Still stuck between these and the realme air pro 5. Would you rate call quality, occlusion, anc and sound better or worse on these. Thanks man
The Realme have practically zero occlusion due to the shallow fit design.
Thank you
Comfort is a big deal for me and I don't enjoy occlusion when running so that will matter also
Sounds like I should stick with the realme as battery can be topped up easily. Staying in for exercise is important but if it's got horrible occlusion it kind of takes away from that
@@ReganCipherI so I find the occlusion actually worse on the realme and I find the fit requires more tweaking. Is that your experience?
5 pro also has capacitive touch controls no? And they trigger accidentally too like all touch controls?
No, my experience is the opposite - no occlusion at all with Realme as it's shallow-insertion
How do you think these compare to the QCY MeloBuds Pro?
Hard to say overall as both have pros and cons. The Earfun have better latency, slightly better ANC, better in-ear detection and better battery life. The QCY have better transparency, are better on calls, have a cleaner sound and are much cheaper.

I really like Earfun, but these Earfun Air Pro 4 really leave me wanting more.
Earfun, where is the phone call quality of your earbuds in a noisy environment? The Earfun Air Pro 1 and the Earfun Air S were excellent in this area.
And above all, these Earfun Air Pro 4 bring nothing more than the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, OnePlus Buds 3 and even the Earfun Air Pro 3, apart from Bluetooth LE /Auracast, which could have simply been added to the Air Pro 3 by an software update 🤷🏽♂️
You behave like Bose with its Qc 2 and Qc Ultra earbuds, and that's really not a good sign for the future of your brand 🤔
🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️
Ps: comparing your own ANC tests, the number 2 is normally the Qcy Ht08 Melobuds Pro and not these Earfun Air Pro 4 and even with regard to your table for the sound 🔊 quality, the Qcy are better 🤷🏽♂️
@@ReganCipher Ok ok
On the other hand, just a suggestion, beyond the ANC test in the café, it would be really good to also have an ANC test in a fixed environment (your studio for example), and above all, it would be nice to have a reference point for ANC/transparency, the Bose QC Ultra or Airpod Pro 2 for example, it would really rate the ANC quality of these sub $100 earbuds compared to the market tenors at $250-$300.
🙏🏽
@@rolins3279 Dude, why are you being an entitled little bugger? Companies make different products for certain situations. If you want better call quality get their best call quality earbud. Not on mines? My voice super clear 👌
The call quality is terrible. How can you claim it's even good at all.
I tried another day they said Earfun pro mic sounds clearer than L4NC 🤔🤔
In some examples it does, in some scenes the L4 NC is better. It isn't just a case of x mic is better than x, each uses it's own noise reduction algorithm and each is going to perform better in different types of scenes.
As I keep repeating, it's why I always include a diverse array of samples. Everyone's interpretation of what is better is different so I hope viewers appreciate this is better than the 'trust me bro' approach of recording call samples with stimulated background noise and just stood outside their front door, which aren't reflective of real life performance
