      We need to stand for vegetable/fruit rights. They are defenseless, and have feelings too. Unlike animals, they can't move and explore. We should strike againts cruel treatment of vegies and fruits!

    The reason it is as easy as it is. Is because he is using a very sharp knife. Contrary to popular belief. The sharper the knife the more safe it is. Because it requires less force to do something. Which is allowing him to simply allow gravity to do most of the work.

    • @Superintendent_ChaImers
      @Superintendent_ChaImers 10 років тому +14

      Fred Jaureguy Yeah, and guess what those years of experience teach you.... To make sure your knife is razor sharp. And to make sure you buy one that is built to last.
      Dumbass. Take any sushi chef like this guy and give him a dull knife.
      I guarantee his job will be impossible.
      The sharper the knife, the less force is required to do the job.
      Maybe if you got off your fat 400 pound ass and actually experienced life outside of youtube you would know that.
      The knife does make the chef. A chef and his knife are one and the other. They share a bond. The knife is the weak link, so is the chef. The chef is weak, so is the knife.
      A Knife is to a chef what a Rifle is to a marine.
      Educate your self next time before you come off like a dumbass.

    • @27455628
      @27455628 10 років тому +2

      so, you mean anybody has a sharp knife can do as good as the chef did?

    • @Superintendent_ChaImers
      @Superintendent_ChaImers 10 років тому +4

      lok tin ho I said the reason he can do as good as he does is because he has a really sharp knife.
      I guarantee, give that guy in the video a low quality dull knife, and watch the difference. That apple would turn from segments to apple sauce.

    • @Superintendent_ChaImers
      @Superintendent_ChaImers 10 років тому

      ***** Not really.... thats more maid for chopping, not slicing. Opening coconuts, sure. But slicing things finely. No.

    • @301250
      @301250 10 років тому +2

      Fred Jaureguy ,No way can anyone peel an apple like this sushi chef here using a butter knife, however skillful or experienced he might be! He is probably using a Miyabi or Hanzo knife. Japanese knives are the sharpest in the world and even sought after by chefs in the West. Knife makers in Japan have honed their skills via a tradition of centuries of sword making to fulfil the demands of the samurai. Ahso, Shintaro!

    I don't see how this is impressive beyond the peeling aspect. With practice, like anything else, this is a mundane task. It is a simple wrist movement, in which his hands are in no danger of being cut due to the way he holds the apple. The sharpness of his knife is the aspect here that makes it impressive.
