Great review. Ordered the Tune 130NC refurbished on eBay for $30 and they have performed surprisingly well (customization in the app works as well). For me, changing to the Spinfit CP1025 eargels improved the fit for me. Thx for sharing!!
If you use them on a smartphone and put them in movies mode (through the app), then yes, they work great. But watching on a smart tv may not work as well. Jbl has a problem with lip sync.
Thoroughly appreciate the in depth review especially the anc test with the vacuum thing. That sold me on them, going to buy them through your link as appreciation, like and sub if they're as good as you make them look. Hopefully Looking forward to more honest and in depth reviews in the future, thanks.
Beats Studio Buds didn't impress me at all. But they are way smaller, so they might lock in your ears better. I'd get the Tune Buds for music listening and some light all-around use.
In my brief testing of that, it worked fine. But it was just my phone and tv. I personally never have more than one device connected to my earbuds at a time.
i bought them and would say, the noise cancellation and transparency mode are both trash and theres alot of white noise. the sound quality is good and the app allows for eq. youre dependent on the passive noise isolation which is good.
@@AtHomewithLucas i went today to a samsung store and bought Galaxy buds FE and its way better in noise cancellation! night and day difference, the ambient is also way better. i almost regret buying this jbl, i would give it out. the sound quality is similar tho. Yes i have the latest software for the jbl.
One Question Bro i Have the tune beam and i am not quite satisfied with the sound and the ANC the bass is good but the volume is too low i upgraded from a vibe beam and i feel like i downgraded you think this ones may have the same volume as the vibe?
Hey, great question. So if you run or do anything active, the Vibe Beam are best because they lock in the ear best. For music and bass, the Tune Buds are best. Plus, they sync perfectly for tv and moves watching. Also, the Tune Beam would be a great budget alternative. 👌 😁
Tune buds is just a name rebranding (more simple). They are very similar to 130nc, just with a spec bump for the noise canceling and sound quality. But really they sound very similar. But the buds do cancel out noise better.
I just purchased these because my SoundCore EarBuds won't hold a charge any longer. Between the two; however, I think I prefer the SoundCore. These slip too much in the ears when doing exercise.
Tune buds sounds good. Bass is actually the selling point here. And also the Low Energy codec support, which as of now has not come through update. Though Galaxy Buds 2 is better overall than this. Better ANC, ear detection, and they sound a little bit better (more balanced) too especially if the volume is not loud.
Just now purchased a pair. I like so far, but I’m wondering if they will stay in while riding my Harley. It is 12/31 today here in Wisconsin. Won’t need them until April. I’m a little concerned that one will fall out while crushing 70+ mph. T/Y

@@AtHomewithLucas I just got my tune buds, I would like to know how to control the ANC(in the JLB app),cause I could not find the options for me to let ANC become stronger.
How is the max volume on the JBL tune buds? I have the Samsung buds FE and the anker Liberty 3 pro and neither get very loud. Maybe im used to wired earbuds. Does the low end bass distort at high volumes or get reduced by dsp?
These are quite loud. Can I ask what device you use with the Earbuds? I ask because some devices have their own volume control, meaning the earbuds have to be turned up. For instance, my Samsung tv is not controlled by my jabra earbuds. So I turn up the volume on the earbuds to max. Then, use the tv volume to get perfect levels. But on my phone, the volume is one to one. So when I volume up the earbuds, it controls my phone.
@@AtHomewithLucas i have a samung note 20 ultra and a s23 ultra. I tried turning absolute volume off in the developer settings and it seems to make no difference. With the liberty 3 pros i had to push all the eqs up to max except for like 1 to get decent volume. If i raise the volume with preamp in poweramp, the low end sub bass decreases more than not messing with it. So basically if i want volume, my bass suffers. The buds fe start to distort the bass if i use the preamp for volume. The 3 pros dont...but lack the super low sub bass that the buds fe have.
My brother has these, he let me test them out and I knew that I have to get the tune buds 12/16 I bought them and now waiting for it to ship. updates every time something happens with the buds while waiting. Update: they arrived a month ago. I have been using them and they're amazing!
Ambient sound mode, means you can hear the surroundings/environment. It's like you don't wear headphones. Even more , some headphones amplifies it a little bit. Very usefull where you need tobhear the surroundings (traffic, at work, crowded shopping streets,, so long).i have Sony Linkbuds S and this function it's amazing well done, but want to change them/return them because they have a fabric problem or last firmware makes problems...
So in my testing jbl has a real problem with lip sync on some devices. Phone and tablets are perfect because you can use there app to put the earbuds into movie mode making lip sync perfect. So I would say buyer beware. You may have no problems or you may have bad lip sync. The projector was great but my Samsung tv had horrible problems.
@@AtHomewithLucas I just bought these and watching movies with them is very fun. the soundstage and imaging was very good. I did have a little lip sync problem like you said.
