Great to visit with you today! I am just catching up on my viewing! You both are doing such stunning projects-especially the Rosewood Manor pieces! Sheila, your weekend sounds like it was fantastic, and you did indeed get a lot of nice haul! You always make me laugh, and I loved Sheila’s imitation of EJ whining! Too funny!! Thanks for putting a smile on my face today!
Thank you! The weekend was so enjoyable. I have been telling everyone that spending time with you and hearing your stories while you share so much information is a total pleasure.
Ladies, you made my Monday a little better with some laughter. Also, thank you, EJ; due to your review of the Hearthside stand showing that it can hold a Q-Snap, my bank account is missing some $$$. 🤣 I can't wait. I knew I would never have the patience to baste onto scroll rods, so that was a game changer. I so appreciate your weekly flosstube, the work you put into it and the two of you are just great together.
Great video, ladies, and I enjoyed all the laughs and fun. Thank you for sharing a great recap of your recent retreat Shelia, and it was so fun to see your haul from that and from Inspired Needle. Beautiful finish on your MFE piece.
I love you ladies. I'm always impressed with your devotion to all your "groups". I am a mostly monogamous stitcher, old, and slow. I always look forward to your show. Thank you.
Buccee’s is more than just a gas station! You can buy clothes, decor for the home, stock up on every kind of snack, grab a Mexican coke, homemade fudge, sandwiches, you name it. And yes, they literally have the nicest bathrooms. Don’t forget to buy a Buccee’s tshirt or get a pic with Buccee!
I love listening to you two banter. And, of course Sheila’s eye rolling. lol. EJ, you were born the year after I got married! 49 years this April. I thought you were much younger. Way to go youngster. ❤ oh, Sheila, that little box you got from your class is from Target and it is made from felt. I bought one the other day. Pretty handy. 😊
I'm on my third Sprocket. I print pics of my finishes. I take pics of the chart pics and create tags for my project bags. In the beginning, I had the printer paper on Amazon autoship but finally stopped it when I realized that I could fill a cubicle.
Ok EJ I just about fell out of my stitchy chair when you said you were burn in 1976! Congrats on being so young at heart! I thought you were like 28…. Then my husband came in the room and I asked him and lo and behold he says 28! Then I told him no and he said I heard it wrong and it must be 1996…. So I was going to rewind but was too lazy so we just asked Alexa which Chinese year 1976, 1986, and 1996 to make sure I was right. Pathetic huh? Thought I’d tell you the rabbit hole we went down. You both are gorgeous and we have fun super sleuthing what I heard ❤
So happy to see the video was up this beautiful Sunday morning. Loved your gorgeous finishes Shelia. All the stitching was beautiful and loving the February plans. Thanks for laughs…..
Loved this video y’all! 🥰 So fun to get caught up on all of the things! EJ as a fellow fire dragon I can assure you do not be afraid of the Buccees restrooms- they have attendants scrubbing them down & directing “traffic” non stop- it’s wild! Shelia I loved hearing all about your retreat & adventures- thank you for sharing, I was intrigued by the needle information & that Jan Hicks just pops up everywhere- SO fun! 😊
Running into Jan Hicks and her husband was definitely a surprise for both of us. It was so other worldly. Susan Greening Davis has so much knowledge about needlework. It is a pleasure to be with her.
I haven’t missed an episode of Young and the Restless since I started watching it back in January of 98. I even named both my kids after and actor and actress from it. Cassidy and Jack…
EJ cracked me up when she said the new definition of Success which is "when you didn't do what you should've done and, even though everything is fine". So Sheila you're right success* 🤣🤣🤣. Happy Stitching Ladies. Xoxo, Miriam
I love your sloth shirts! I love the GPS in my car! I use it all the time! Thanks for the google suggestion EJ - I found out I am also a 'fire', but I'm a fire rooster. Shelia! Did I just hear you call your car 'Ophelia'??? I name my cars too, and they're all called Josephine after the George Thorogood (Bo Diddly) song! "Ride on Josephine, baby ride on..." Great video today, ladies! Lots of beautiful stitching! 😊
Yet again love love the video, so much fun and laughter, with stitching included, trust me I needed it after a week that I have had, so ladies my craft stand has been ordered and am anxiously awaiting the shipment update, so looking forward to it. EJ am working on my SAL for the month of February and thinking to just finish that motif and be a little bit ahead, and oh Shelia you visited our hot spot here in Texas that is just a favorite Buc-ees, yes ma’am it is a place to visit, glad they are popping up all over the US, and let EJ know the bathrooms are very much okay to visit while traveling, well they are here and hopefully they are keeping that promise going! Have a great week! 😊
Several folks have commented to the cleanliness of the Buc-ee's bathrooms. We will find out this summer during our road trip. It definitely is on my "places to stop" list going forward.
Love watching you ladies I am a water rat Dec 1972. I have been watching you since 2022 Nov when I started cross stitching. I was wondering where EJ got her planner book, I’m guessing it had made by her but thought I would ask. Tanks ladies for another wonderful episode.
You two are so fun to watch! Can you recommend a black artist or chart with ladies and colors or just your favorite? I am not black but I love learning about all cultures and would love to stitch something representing what is authentic. Thanks!
Shaded Stitchery is a wonderful designer. Her designs are available on Gumroad, shadedstitchery.gumroad.com/. She has a variety of designs and each of us have several.
I saw a video on how iguanas fall from trees when it gets cold in Florida. Made me remember when big daddy was in your palm tree and I thought you were talking about an alligator 😅 can you imagine alligators falling from trees. Thank goodness he was just an iguana! Love your videos as always and such beautiful stitching!
Big Daddy is bigger than some alligators. They do fall from the trees. When the temps drop very low, the newscasters caution people not to pick them up and bring them indoors. They will wake up! You don't want your car parked underneath a tree where iguanas have decided to camp out either.
been having some health issues as of late, and you both make my day when I watch you on Sundays lately. today here, we had an epic Ooops. lol. My youngest daughter has been telling me that this week was Super Bowl Sunday. and I got all of what I needed to make my Super Bowl Chili for my son. when he called me he informed me that next week is the Super Bowl. amd was chuckling that my daughter pulled off the epic "Prank" and it was good to laugh at myself as well. I told her that I win. because I have not worked on my cross stitch project at all this week. and now I have one more week on my set goal to get the stitching part done, and I feel good about that.
Hooray! Now you are ready for Super Bowl Sunday. My favorite dish is an Ahi Tuna with lime, cilantro, peanuts, soy, and green onion. I buy a big bag of Little Dippers and munch my way through the afternoon.
I had to laugh when you were talking about your GPS adventure because I was coming home to Wisconsin from a woman's festival in Michigan one time and had an interesting GPS adventure myself. I decided that since I had never been to the UP, I was going to go home that way instead of down around through Chicago. I had never been that way so when I stopped for gas and a snack and got back on the road, it took me a bit to realize something was wrong. GPS kept having me make all these weird back road turns. Well, it had me turn into a farm field driveway so I pulled over to see if I could figure out what was going on. Apparently I had accidentally turned on the airplane mode on my phone at some point while I was shopping and the damn thing was sending me in circles instead of telling me it couldn't track me 🤦🏻♀️. Here I had been going in a spiral about 15 minutes away from the highway 🤣🤣
Oh my goodness! Thank goodness for that farm field. If it was me, it would have taken a lot longer to figure it out. Hope the rest of the trip was uneventful.
Ej how did you finally finish harder daddy? I know that you completed the stitch and you were taking about the fully finish, but I didn’t see the completed piece. Just wondering.
I really appreciate it! Can’t wait to stitch with you, again.
Still Stitching, Susan
Shelia, your 2023 countdown is beautiful!!!
Thank you! I signed for the 2025 edition, too.
Awesome finishes and great starts.Thank you for the inspiration. Love the dragons EJ
I look forward to your videos every week!
You're the best!
Thank you! I did have a wonderful time and, yes, she does get disappointed.
Yeah for Bucee's! Got to get some if Bucee's Nuggets! EJ the bathrooms are awesome -lots of stalls and very clean.
I love the piece from the retreat!
Thank you! I am loving my time with you, always!
Still Stitching, Susan Greening Davis
Thank you! The weekend was so enjoyable. I have been telling everyone that spending time with you and hearing your stories while you share so much information is a total pleasure.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the retreat!
EJ you made me yawn when you yawned!!!😂
It's definitely catching.
Love all the starts, finishes and WIPs, ladies!!!
Our pleasure! It is a wonderful product that will last for years. Enjoy.
I’m old enough I remember 15 minute soap operas.
Definitely before my time. Both of us have enjoyed many years of soaps.
EJ you and I have the same year of the dragon
We have a Bucee's just a few miles from the house and that store is addictive!!!
I love January ‘ cause it’s my birthday month!! 🎉 🎂 🥳 This year I heard way too much Januwhining ! 😂
I know, right! I don't get it. Happy Birthday.
Bucees is the only bathroom I will use when we travel! They are always super, super clean!!!
WOW! That is good to know! We will be taking a road trip this summer and plan to stop there.
I’m also working on African Lady with Flowers. Be patient with the flowers because the colors blend so well together. Love your February projects
I saw your pic in the Facebook group. I'm focusing on the dress for now and can't wait to start on her face and flowers. I'm really enjoying it.
Great video, ladies, and I enjoyed all the laughs and fun. Thank you for sharing a great recap of your recent retreat Shelia, and it was so fun to see your haul from that and from Inspired Needle. Beautiful finish on your MFE piece.
Thank you! I had a spectacular weekend...and spent way too much money.
I love you ladies. I'm always impressed with your devotion to all your "groups". I am a mostly monogamous stitcher, old, and slow. I always look forward to your show. Thank you.
Hoping to see some backstitching from EJ, too!
😂
EJ if your sewing machine has a zigzag stitch use that to help stop your fabric from fraying.
EJ , Go fire dragons 🐉!!! I am one also 😂 lovely stitching ladies!!!
I was amazed and was there more than an hour. I already have plans for my next stop during road trip this summer.
Oh wow! I need to go to Target more often! It is quite handy.
That little dragon 50 x 70 would take me at least 2 to 3 weeks. I will see what happens when I catch up on y'alls videos 😊
will be a while.
Another “mini” mention, I got to take a drink while watching 😂. Love your little pictures made me go buy a sprocket printer. Great video.👍🏽
I'm on my third Sprocket. I print pics of my finishes. I take pics of the chart pics and create tags for my project bags. In the beginning, I had the printer paper on Amazon autoship but finally stopped it when I realized that I could fill a cubicle.
I smiled through the whole video. When EJ showed ‘The Power of Love’, I had to stop the video and go put it on my wish list. Xoxo
❤❤❤
Love that! It is a gorgeous chart.
@@SunshineStitchers I bought it. 😂
I love Sheila's expression over it was a success. Needs to be your next tshirt quote.
Thanks for the video. Makes my day!
Have a great week!
Thank you so much! Hoping your week was wonderful.
Always wonderful to see you ladies! Beautiful finish on your MFE piece Shelia!
Thank you so much!

I get it! Rabbit holes are so much fun.
Lovely Wips as always. I hope Shelia got her happy mail. Happy stitching.
I did! Thank you! We will include the pieces in our next giveaway. I liked the ship needlepoint a lot. The ornaments are very pretty. Thank you!

We hit a snag but got it there. Thank you!!

For sure! It's fun.
Loved your video - your stitching is always so pretty
I haven’t missed an episode of Young and the Restless since I started watching it back in January of 98. I even named both my kids after and actor and actress from it. Cassidy and Jack…
I get it! If soaps had not expanded to an hour, I would probably still be watching it. I subscribed to Peacock just to keep watching Days.

Her definitions....
Sheila I wish someday you would do a wall video of your stitching pieces
Maybe one day! I know there will be a weekend when EJ will be away and that will be a good time to do it. I have pieces all over the house.

Ej how did you finally finish harder daddy? I know that you completed the stitch and you were taking about the fully finish, but I didn’t see the completed piece. Just wondering.
It has not been fully finished, yet. She has quite a few options that she is considering. Decisions are not easy.
