i remember hearing this song for the first time. I was trying to fall asleep and this song randomly played on my phone. I stayed up all night crying because of how many emotions were inside me while listening to From Gold. The song starts like you are in a mysterious foggy place near water and it's morning, you are slowly opening up to feel everything you've been lately going through. And it's a mix of emotions… of feeling so free but hurt somehow…. All Novo Amor's songs are actually carrying this vibe. There is so much pain and suffering but at the same time you feel this incredible freedom. Like you're hurting but also letting things go. And that hurts even more but it gives you even bigger freedom. I can't find the right words to explain. It probably can't even be explained. You just need to feel it. And I am always captured by his lyrics. It's so mysterious and poetic but it hides years and years of trying to find yourself and survive. And i can really feel it. Thank you for helping me to understand so many things in my life through your music.

The feelings I felt when I first heard this song were similar - actually thinking back I had no reason really to feel the amount of pain this song now brings for me, and the debilitating desire to run away, to heal and be free of the pain This makes the impact of this song that much more powerful. It was almost as if it was shown to me early on in order to help me through extremely tough times later on in life, and I definitely never forgot about it. How could I? Finding this song was a monumental point in my own life's history, and at the time I had no clue.

This song flashes me back to when i used to watch the beautiful sunsets or fireworks on Canada day on my cousins property. Thats all gone now. I try to forget it all... Ok, this song makes me forget about the bad things in life. If I'm having a bad day or a tough time, this song is on replay. I honestly feel like I'm in another universe.
Now, this "universe", would have everything peaceful and calm like a pond or lake. Creatures would roam and communicate with other creatures to become one and be friends. No violence or harm would happen to anybody. This universe of like would be a safe place.
This song is so deep and real to my heart and truly impeccable. I would love to meet Novo Amor and go to one of their concerts so I can experience their art live.
I can shut my eyes to this song and just get away from all of my problems. I guess I can dream of a place like this creation in my head. Hopefully one day the world can become peaceful like this imagination of mine.

and I guess the style is what they have in common, but damn, they are totally different - Bon Iver don't have that magical thing in the vocals that I fell in love with that Ali has... something so elevated, in the clouds, a caress of the heavens... it's something more than the music itself, it's the vibe and feeling he has, unique to him only
