Very pretty, I love doing these. I put a small bit of either blue tac or plasticine on the end of the stick and push it into the baubles and that holds them in place.
@@fionascreativecanvas no not been brave enough yet to try resin and its too cold in England now. Will have to wait until next year when its warmer. Hopefully I will be braver then!
I wrapped my stick with half a paper towel folded in half then wrapped the stick and inserted into the bauble also used styrofoam to stand them up. Loved your colours
Those are gorgeous. I’ve had some truly awful painting failures the last two weeks so I’m feeling rather despondent. You’ve inspired my to try Christmas baubles again: thanks x ☺️
I know the feeling well Caroline. We all go through it. I find the best think to do us something quite different. It works almost every time. I was doing a Textured piece recently that wasn't going well so I pulled out a Splatter brush that I've never used. Looks much better. Hopefully that video will be out soon. 😉
Good to know. I have a vase. It's quite straight, but I haven't decided whether to use acrylic pouring or resin on it yet. I might try and get it done before Christmas. Could be a nice gift.
Both of these colour combos are really pretty, though I prefer the purple ones just a bit. Since the glitter didn't work as well as you'd hoped, I wonder if using TLP's or other micas would give the results you're looking for?
very interesting technique I have only done them with pouring the paint in the inside of bulbs. I personally would leave the Red out of the purple ones, I think it took away from the purple and gold
Lovely! Thank you for this tutorial. My concern with this technique is whether the paint runs downward towards the direction of the top and covers the whole surface. Also, each ball seem to require a lot of paint.
You can pour to one side more if it needs it there. I probably didn't need as much paint as I used but I get picky with how they look and kept doing touch ups 😉
I spray them with a clear coat. I'll have to see how well they last. I have last years packed away with the Christmas decorations, so I will pull them out in a month and check them, but I'm sure they will be fine.
Love the suggestions. I did consider green and red. I just did some resin ornament to try that out. Video should be up next week. But not the colours you suggested.

Great tip! Have you ever done them with resin?
I use play dough on the end of stick to keep the ball in place.

Very pretty
Thank you 😊
They're beautiful Fiona... I love pouring on Christmas ornaments 💕
It's quite satisfying, isn't it 😊
Wunderschöne Weihnachtskugeln. 😍 Genau so, wie du es präsentiert hast, kann es in der Weihnachtszeit geschmückt sein. 🎄
😊
They are lovely. Love the uniqueness of them.
Thanks Janice 😊. I love that they can look different by turning them around 😃

Great tip, thanks for sharing! 😊
These are so beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing this technique 💕
You are welcome 😊

Very good idea. I like it.
Thank you! 😊
I think the paint flowed more even with the pouring medium. I'm using that method on vases

These are stunning, just WOW! I may try, if I find a source for the baubles. I wonder what would happen if cloud mix were included? Just a thought...
Oh, that sounds interesting. You could be on to something 😉
lol more success
Please post a video if you do this again using resin. Great creative work!
Will do. I'm really keen to try it 😉

I love the purple ones, too. They look better in person as well. I have never used TLP's. I guess I'll have to get some at some point 😉

I haven't tried pouring on the inside. Sounds challenging. Might need to give it a go next year. 😉

Thanks for posting this. Are the ornaments made of glass?
No, they are plastic 😉
Please 🙏 do one with silver and blue
What do you do to keep the paint from peeling off?

Фиона, чем вы намазали шар перед тем, как лить краску?
Some plain pouring medium with no paint mixed in. 😉
Or green and red
Love the suggestions. I did consider green and red. I just did some resin ornament to try that out. Video should be up next week. But not the colours you suggested.
I get mine at the Dollar Store, cheap, no work required.
