You can get the bus or jeep from the surkhet buspark early in the morning (about 6am). Yes, usually the jeep will take to the Hotel,no need to worry about the hotel (however you may not get some fancy hotels on the way). Unfortunately,I didnt have phone numbers. Tips: Book the seat the day before or goto the Surkhet buspark early about 5am so that you can get the desired seat you want. Lastly,Take the front seat ! Otherwise, You may get trouble on your stomach.( Roads are like rollercoaster :D )

If you're Starting from Kathmandu, Day1 : -Kathmandu to Surkhet ( Direct bus) -stay in Surkhet ( In this day, Goto Surkhet Buspark and book jeep to Rara lake which will cost Rs.2500 ( at that time) - Best to book this day,because Jeep leave at around 6am in the morning (Tips: Book Front seat otherwise have to be victim of vomiting throughout the journey ) -You'll get bus although not suggested. Slower and too smelly ! Day2: Goto Surkhet Buspark, get a Jeep. - In this day, You'll be traveling whole day in that jeep and will be staying in hotel at night around 7 or 7:30pm. Day3 - Will be continuing the journey, after around 4hrs drive,You will reach base of Talcha airport. Then start hike for about 2.5 to 3hours crossing Talcha Airport and Beautiful Pine Forest. Then you will reach Rara lake. Trust me,You'll stay there for at least 2 3 hours just relaxing with those beautiful views,cold wind and beautiful music played by the Nature. After Reaching the lake, You have to walk for aound 1hr to reach hotel,but Im sure no one will because on the way to hotel,you will get lost in the nature taking photographs everywhere. Alternative Way ( If from air, Day 1: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj Airport (city Near Surkhet) Then around 4hr Drive to surkhet and rest are same. After you leave surkhet, one day matra ho euta hotel linu parne jun chai ali village type kai thau ma parca so it cost only 500rs per room at that time. And 1 room = 3person. After you reach raralake. Rake side kai room pani teti expensive chai haina. 1500rs room ko where 3persons are allowed. You can bargain too.

Rara lake has its own beauty throught out the year. But, snowfall chai hudaina teha aile chai.I went the heaven(Rara) after Tihar. Color of the lake and clearity will make you feel like a heaven. Have a good and responsible journey :)
Namaste ! Sure I can. It took about Nepali Rupee 20,000 back then. If you are traveling on your own without guide,using local transport and accomodations, you can do it for 30k npr ( Due to high inflation). Travel agency may cost bit more but with comfort, more luxurious and informative way.
