One year in college can effect someone's development. A lot of teams have been burned by one and done players. Most of the busts in the NBA are one and done players. You think teams are going to take a chance with him? Especially given that he's a pg and he needs to read the floor. And yes I am aware there are plenty of good one and done players such as Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, etc but a lot of one and dones needed more than one year to develop their game to the pro level, and it clearly shows.
