There haven't been as much coverage on that paddle as I would have liked to see on UA-cam or just on the web in general, so it makes me feel better to see it mentioned here as I own that paddle (but haven't had a chance to play with it.....yet)
I purchased the Pulse V and Wow! I absolutely love it. I don't care for Joola as a company. Not interested in their 3S. Would rather improve my game with a company like Apes. I'm hoping Ripple gets approved. I'm also a big fan of the Shogun & Bread & Butter as a company! The way they market, and package their paddles is Top Notch. They should receive a separate award for this! Thank you for this video. Great job. 😊
Absolutely!! The Pulse is ridiculously good, and I love BnB as a company!! Definitely some of the best marketing in the business, they know how to make pickleball fun haha
@BK Pickleball I reached out to Joola customer support about the 3s getting USAP approval and this was the relevant part of the response on 12/30/24. "Our Pro 4 Perseus Paddle is currently being designed to comply with both USAP & UPA Certifications. At this moment, I cannot confirm that we are testing our 3S paddles for USAP Certification." If you don't mind me asking, but how or what have you heard differently? I just exchanged my mod ta-15 for the 3s perseus in hopes that it does get approved.

Agreed some what. Alot of time spent on delisted or paddles not coming to market. Have you reviewed the Saga? Shogun? Paddleteks? The Honolulu paddles would completely change this list IMO. Why doesn't anyone talk 14mm? J2k 14mm is a phenomenonal paddle and may have as my #2 all court only behind the 16mm
USAPA officially announced today that the MOD will be banned July 1st. Next best option is definitely the 3S, or the Ripple when it is officially launched to the public.
The 3S is currently only approved by the UPA-A, so is not permitted in USAPA sanctioned events. However, there is news going around that they are in the process of getting USAPA approval which hopefully will come through early next year.
It's the same 3S pro players are using! The UPA-A is the official governing body for PPA and MLP, so they don't need USAPA Certification as long as they have UPA-A. Joola had some drama with USAPA with the Gen 3s last year, so once the UPA-A was created, they didn't submit the 3S to USAPA, but now that the MOD is getting banned, they're looking to get USAPA Certification for the 3S. I actually have always preferred long body paddles, so I hesitated to buy the V, but I am really glad I returned the “S” and went to the “V”…. It’s a great paddle in the kitchen, great sweet spot, and when I’m serving or hitting bombs from the base line it has great power.

Wow you mention ripple three times. A paddle you can't go buy. I have one in my bag. I have three other paddles in my bag that I will play with before the ripple. It never comes out of my bag unless my wife uses it.
The Joola 3S’s is a PPA tournament only paddle…that’s enough to have it disqualified for me. Knowing the Joola TA is going to be not allowed as of next summer (announced this month), I don’t see them approving the 3S models. I thought I’d be playing the Ronbus Ripple by now, but after seeing reviews of one of the later models that seemed to change certain elements of the Ripple, seems like we won’t know what is actually going to be released until they start shipping a final version out. Some of the beta models were hitting harder than the Joola TA and 3S’s…so I’m not sure how those won’t be retired next summer if the Joola’s and Gearbox Pro are retired.
Well there is some news circling around I've heard from some pretty prominent people that the 3S is in the process of getting USAPA approval, hence the inclusion in the list. Also, there are a lot of rec players that don't play tournaments, that simply want the best paddle available, so had to include it. As for the Ripple, you are correct, it will be interesting to see what the final production version looks like. My Ripple is one of the early beta versions, but waiting to see what Ronbus does with their final version, so I'll keep y'all posted on that!! 🙌🏽

That paddle is BOMB. I use the widebody and it has really nice control as well as nice power when you call for it.
