I had Antoine's cookies at a friend's wedding back when he was still a business delivering by car, and I could not stop eating them that night. Super happy for his success.
Wow. This guy is so humble. Never tried it but selling his cookies 1/2 off, if they are a day old. Everyone LOVES a deal and that’s smart. Would love to try his cookies one day and many success to his talents and business
I tried Antoine's cookies yesterday after Insomnia cookies stopped delivering to my location, and I can attest that they are great. Soft, fluffy, gooey, and delicious -- my new favorite cookies! Give them a shot!
Respect for people like Antoine's cookies shop who share sensitive information like "money". This video helps a lot people how to make a fair business and profit. 👏
love this! I started a choc chip cottage (home) kitchen and went from baking 1 kind to 3 just starting out. It is more like a hobby but your numbers and advice are great to hear. Thank you!🍪
What a great guy and supper honest about his business ! and as for me a candle mfg for over 30 years we just try to make the best candles we can and are always looking to find ways to do that..
I think it would great if you gave an annual summary of his net income. Also a summary of his debt to open the shops would be great. He was very transparent so I doubt he would mind and it would be up to your guest if they wanted to reveal that data. It's mostly there anyways, right?
Originally from the. Bay Area. I believe Antoine's cookies is a copy of Anthony's cookies in San Francisco, but Antoine's cookies are larger. I prefer Anthony's and Antoine's cookies over Crumbl any day.
Yaaa..I can see it. 30 employees, which seems only a very small hand full, are full-time, it feels. $50,000 a month is extremely low for 30 employees. I used to run a small restaurant and only had 9 staff, and out of those, only 3 full-timers, and I was already running at roughly $20,000 wages a month at its peak.
Town & Country Shopping Center just doesn't get the 'hungry' foot traffic downtown Palo Alto gets. I'm guessing the rent downtown was much higher than $6700.00 a month.
I do management for a surgery center in Los Altos right down the street from that cookie shop. the center we manage is the size of a large house on a street it’s 17k a month so he’s paying close to 30k a month at least for each shop.
He makes 28k net from both shops. After an avers 130k gross per month. Not bad for cookies. I’m sure his online business facilitates much of the profit
He tried opening one in Berkeley, it didnt last long. So it tells me a lot of this is dependent on the local market. Palo Alto is obviously exceptional in terms of local offices and people with excessive disposable income. If he wanted to expand he should probably go with a franchise model. Antoine you can dm for more details.
Profit. Not revenue. Its profit. His revenue is 138 thousand on average a month out of which he takes out all the expenses and he is left with 28000 profit per month.
@@jollibeescraps7777 Math totally adds up. $140k revenue a month. Under $10k in rent. $50 to $70k in payroll taxes and 1099. Still leaves another $60k for his salary and other expenses.
Consistently average. The key word is consistent. It’s a cookie store that has cookies. If it doesn’t have your favorite cookie, how many would walk out with nothing? Love his candor and wish him much success!
This video is so out of touch with society. Palo Alto, California average household income is ranked in the top 1% of the entire US. For that reason, thumbs down on the video.
"Consistently average is better than inconsistently great." That's kind of a profound business lesson.
People seek comfort in what feels familiar. Much easier to get a repeat customer than a new customer
What a great owner. Kudos to him for his openness and information. Thanks for sharing and I wish him the best.

Thank you so much for this interview. The are so many gems and good for thought scattered throughout. I wish this was an hour long instead.😊

Great video you did a fantastic job and he was a great interview
Really good to see a local shop
Antoine is one smart cookie!
I’m in Sunnyvale. So cool to see a local business! Can’t wait for one to open in San Jose.
He sounds great, gonna share this with friends and also get cookies for myself!
this video is so raw
I can't remember the last time I bought a cookie but the prices are really good especially that 5 for $5
Go Antoine! Love seeing Bay Area small businesses succeed
A lot of work --- the owner seems really practical & like he really thought ahead....
What type of ovens do u use in your cookie business?
Awesome 🎉congrats 😊
How funny,---(the owner: "Every year my opinion matters less!")😆😆
WOw great video! Going to get me some Antoine cookies today!
So insightful!
I love this kind of videos!
Did customers purchase directly from the Yelp page or did he set up a separate site for sales?
What's the reason for keeping the palo alto location running? Is it mainly to attract corporate clients for catering orders?
Love Antoine’s I frequent the San Mateo location!
Those cookies are awesome!
We love Antoine’s over here at Bill!

This guy is very lucky the cookie business has broken many people down most small bakeries are a labor of love

Antoine, I've been looking for an amazing homemade chocolate chip cookie!!! I'm on my way!!!
Good for him
I'll have to check this out next time I'm in PA - maybe some tailgate cookies for Stanford games? I hope he does open a San Jose location too!
What kind of marketing is he running?

I'm super curious what Antoine's take home amount is, with that much overhead cost and 30 employees. Does he make a livable wage? Especially for CA..
28000

Hello. That wasn’t us who opened in Berkeley. That was Anthony’s cookies.
I'm gonna try these again
I also love cookies
damn son
whats the platform he's using to track his orders/sales/etc?
Inspirational
Inspiring.
EXCELLENT VIDEO... WOW
How much does your cookies weigh (dough)?
How much do you sell each cookie ?
What computer programs did he use
Amazing..
Wonderful businessman
Good cookies
28k In palo alto, you cannot even buy cookies with that
Coming here because Crumbl is just getting too ridiculous in SoCal. Cookies sells...alot!
This shop is 10 mins from and I have never heard of it. lol
now you have. So go out there and support
he better not be making my chicken katsu with a fever damn
Haha well with $28,000 in profit in Palo Alto he can afford a nice studio apartment near where he works!
Now that California officials know he is doing well, they will come up with a new tax to make sure “the rich does the fair share”. Mark my words
California will find a new way to tax him.
For example? Oh right MAGATS never come with the facts! 🙄

28.000$ a month , 24.000 of which goes to rent and other bills .

Antonine's cookie is a STAPLE
In you wake up and have fever you should not work near by food at all
No any info of flavors, to whom exactly he sells
He said he makes 20% profit is that after staff or is the profit used to pay staff
Math don’t add up 20% profit I doubt it not for baking cookies. That’s not pure profit
Of course that is after he pays staff and himself.

So he ripped his recipes off of other people? Did I get that right?
Brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, butter, flour, salt, baking soda, vanilla extract... 🤔
Not much of a recipe secret bud.
He has gone software to tell him data insights

Costco taste better
28k a month out of 140k I doubt it that’s 20% no ways u get that in food service. That’s not pure net
