Hello! I struggled with painting smooth even lines when I first started oil painting on canvases and thought I'd share a tip that really helped me out! :) I hope this will be useful for someone out there that's had a hard time with it as well

What if you are making lines over oil paint? Can the linseed still be applied on top of dry oils?

It can.

Is it archival to use liquin on top of an oiled out canvas? Does it follow the fat over lean rule?

Liquin leans paint, so applying over straight oil paint probably isn't a good idea.

I’m not so sure about this? Why not just dip your brush in linseed oil and wipe a little off then get your paint and start brushing? It does the same thing, it’s just because the surface is slick the more oil you add

If we do not have linseed oil, can we use something like cooking oil?
