Dralii actually had a strategy and made calculated plays like sniping the post and passing to himself off the underside of his crossbar … meanwhile the others like Diaz would just simply sit on the goal like toxic as shit for no reason and he even ended up not even scoring the shot so it was just clownery

@@5-iwnl-596 is it not more clownery to toy with your opponent than to openly time waste a 20 min game? Not to mention Diaz is significantly more skilled so it actually makes sense for him to time waste without much of a lead. Time wasting on a tie game is just an asshole move and you can't even try to argue otherwise.
Johnny's commentary is what made the chat love it really, I loved it too was so funny😂.

This is the same strategy as in football (soccer), the Pep Guardiola Strategy of mantaining possesion and force the oponnent's mistakes. It's brilliant xD
The one good rocket league skill I have is masterfully avoiding open nets.

Good on Gramma for staying in the game the whole way, not giving up and trying to play smart the whole time - must have a good mental to not get completely frustrated by that kind of strategy

it was very very very, i think we'd all agree.
I'm gc and I dont think I could pull this against a champ. The level difference between these top tier 1v1 players is actually insane.
Executing this strat becomes easier the better you are since you need insane consistency to always keep the ball close to you while also being able to get it to supersonic on demand so your opponent can't demo you from behind. So I feel like a high SSL can do this to a low SSL, a low SSL can do it to a C3/GC1, a GC can do it to a low diamond and a champ can pull it off against a gold, i.e. the worse the players are, the higher the skill difference needs to be.

Yeah dralii just lost all my respect, being so overtly toxic to a player that's not at the same level is just childish. He knows full well he could just keep scoring and win easily but decides to be toxic instead purposefully missing open nets, saving his own shots etc. That's not entertaining, it's boring to watch, might as well just be watching him in freeplay.

This was the most interesting this game could have possibly been. Gramma should have just forfeit since he was so obviously below dralii's level. Dralii winning 40-0 would have been just as if not more embarrassing for Gramma, and it would have been significantly less interesting to watch. Imagine Zen playing a champ 1 and being mad at him for not scoring 50 goals on them. Ridiculous logic
