- A collection of photos and video clips featuring Helen Keller and her dogs. Special video dedication to my dog "Spartacus". He recently died in his sleep at the age of 14 years. Helen Keller is responsible for introducing the Akita breed of dog in to the U.S.A. from Japan in 1937. The background music is by George F. Handel. Entitled "Ombra mai fu" from his opera "Xerxes". Enjoy!

Hi Felix
Thanks for watching.
Sincere regards!
Dog is indeed a man's best friend. Thank you my friend! Blessings and good health!
I love you Helen Keller! You are a beautiful spirit for human strength! Thank you for getting so much world exposure and sharing what the human spirit is capable of! We will never forget you and the example you gave us! And thank you Annie Sullivan and Polly Thompson, for helping to make it all possible!
You can tell she really loved her dogs, and they her! Very touching! Take Care!
I am blind and a loyal subscriber but I so, so, wish, that these videos had audio descriptive features so I could enjoy them and understand what is happening. Helen Keller was truly a remarkable role model for myself and millions of other blind and deaf citizens of the world!
I hope that life is going well for you, Bama.
The simple things that we take for granted every day like being able to smell fragrances good and bad and we don’t even think about it. If you close your eyes and take a really deep breath of fresh cut grass or flowers, it’s a completely different sensation. There is still so much to learn from Helen Keller and I wish that she was around for this present generation for all they know is TicToc and bullshit.
dogs are always wonderful companions & so loving

Hi Squincey,
Well...Helen Keller lived to be 87 so I suppose she had a lot of dogs during her life. The sad thing about dogs is that they don't really live that long. I hope you're enjoying your dog (or dogs). And hope your enjoying the Spring weather. I'm so glad winter is over!

Please have your measles vaccinations, everyone, so that you don't get measles when pregnant and then have a blind/deaf child.
Years ago I read how the police shot Helen's dog Lioness. If I'd been around in those days I would have slashed a cop car's tires in retaliation.
Maybe there was a reason. If the dog got rabies, it could have bitten Helen and she would have gone mad with rabies.
