Thank you guys for watching and let me know what you think of new GT Omega Prime - to me personally its good win win because as user of GT Omega for past 9 years I really wanted them to go to the aluminium way and with rock solid type of rig. It's their first one and I hope not last one :)
To anyone saying yeah you can just buy some tubes and make rig for way cheaper - I totally understand and I agree but I'm personally lazy type of person who wants service, warranty and accessories from the company (it's like comparing smartphones).
As said not a rig for everyone with the price range but to me it is very nice addition to the GT Omega ART or PRO cockpit who are really cheap entry level rigs :)

I use their most basic wheel stand, because I'm still a complete sim racing noob and just wanted to dip my toes in starting up a rig. But I'm so pleased with the quality of it that when I start building a real serious rig, I'm going with GT Omega too!

We use that stuff at work to build research units, we call it uni-strut, very versatile cause of the channels give you so many mounting positions as well as adjustments.
Great piece of kit. I have had my GT Omega Pro for about 18 months now and it is great. Like the comment that the shift is on the correct side, the English side!! Keep up the great work 👍

To be honest I understand a bit now. Jardier says he talks 'normally' during the stream, but you can clearly hear he starts to speak much louder at 5:00 when he has his headphones on.
you can cut the power cord on that fan by ur feet and attatch one end to the pedal and one to the floor.. when u press the gas , they contact. the fan goes and makes it feel extra real

Nice! I just bought my GT Omega Prime with RS9 seat last week. It gets assembled this weekend. Upgrading from GT Omega wheel stand and or my Ikea desk. :-) Really looking forward to it!

I see you put gear stick/ H shifter on the correct side, UK side for right hand drive cars, shifter on left. Just kidding, but am I. :)
Jokes aside, nice one for getting so far with this UA-cam streaming, well deserved. Watching you is better than watching F1 etc on TV, lot more fun reading chat watching you drive on ACC. I have been lurking in the background for almost a year now and watched about half of them live. Always give a thumbs up to hopefully help you out.
I have just got a basic stand with G920 and H shifter as only started with ACC last Christmas and not working as carer for my dad. I'm too old to become serious (48) but still have loads of fun lapping 2.24 on Spa...LOL.
Absolutely solid/rigid .. yet back of seat easily bends/sways around even on relatively light presses. Imho worth considering more rigid bucket seat to come with this cockpit base.
I bought the Omega Art simulator a few years ago and enjoy it daily. Very sturdy.

Ya I have the same seat and I had a hell of a time mounting it to my simlab rig. Rock solid now though!
I can recommend swedish rig designs, quite a bit cheaper, the exact same design basically and more peripherals/options.

Meanwhile I'm still using a rig built from leftover lumber and a seat I pulled out of a fiat punto at the scrapyard.
I'm in a cheap poly racing seat on plywood and 4x4's. I spruced it up with some paint.

Seriously though, I'm convinced an actual car seat is the best option at this point. All the rigs for sale seem pretty uncomfortable after a few hours. Jimmer is always complaining.
@@oiitssean Not only that, but most rigs and "racing" chairs don't recline you in the right position for comfortable long-term driving. I went and tilted the seat and pedals at 25 degrees from the floor; it feels more like a single seater than a commuter car.
I was racing iracing world championship on my mothers old yard flower table :)
@@oiitssean A home built rig makes you 1.5 seconds quicker on every track, it's scientifically proven.
I recently got myself a Next Level Racing F-GT rig so maybe this is something I will look at in the future, maybe when I switch from my Logitech G920 wheel to a direct drive wheel near the end of next year
They should include side mounted seat brackets for this rig for adjustability and ease of installation, you can see the one driving position is wrong and will course lower back pain. Pedal plate looks it could have flex if using higher end pedals. Not a bad start though, also needs a front mounted bracket for other DD wheels.
Hey im using same seat in same position for two years and no back pain and i sit even 18 hours in my rig! 😱
About pedals it looks like it on pictures or video but IRL i dont think there is chance for flex, cant imagine how and I have v3 pedals that are pretty heavy 😂
@@Jardier I meant when pressing the brake pedal hard, my pedals has 100kg load cell and I get some flex with the simlab gt1 evo pedal plate when braking hard. With regards to the seating position, I am a lot older and was just thinking of us old boys, I need my seat tilted back with my knees supported, haha the more I write the older I feel.
@@dinopereira84 Hahah I can do some test if you tell me how. It might also depend how you put the pedals and in what angle.
Update: I just step on it and nothing moved (Im 120kg) with my full weight :D Might be because the plate has Tsections on the other side that support the weight. Hmmm will look deeper in to it!

Nice review about this rig. Aluminium slotted profile can be fiddly but it can be configured into many applications. Wonder if you would go Triple screens and even motion in the future? There's a DIY actuator motion system that uses 3d printed parts. I've done this for my rig and does not cost as much as a D-box system and performs at the same level.
Def not motion rig I really dont want that type of rigs at my home and for 18 hours of racing (if i would be race driver irl i would get one for better practice) and i prefer singlr screen + chat screen but who knows in the future :)
@@Jardier You could run 4 screens, 3 for cockpit view and 1 for the chat and your streaming services. Regarding motion, you can simply not run it or turn it off for the long enduros.
Question: What was the Brake feel of the Lambo compared to the V3s?

Im using default V3 settings so I assume with brake performance kit in around middle settings it should be really close to real thing. Racedriver said he needs to use 45kgs but I think in simracing terms it will be around 80 :)

I need a new rig as I have just bought the Fanatec CSL DD and my old rig which is a Playseat Evolution will just not allow me to position the wheel in a place that allows me to drive.
I'm a follower of Dave Cam and was going to ask him for suggestions, but this may be just right.
I would have been on track with you in Dave's Community race but I had a previous commitment unfortunately

I am this very tall fella i am 2m07cm in height! I have a PlaySeat Revolution at the moment. It is a ok rig for it’s price but my back hurts when I play for longer then half an our. Also I would like to sit a little higher and I find the flex annoying. My question , could you recommend this rig to me despite my height ? I heard you say that the seat is not adjustable in length. Would you say that the XL seat would also fit me better because of my height instead of my seat in the revolution? Hoping to hear from you. Big thanks again and have a nice evening ! Jardier what's your thoughts on the XL RS Seat? I'm about to pull the pin on a GT Omega Prime + XL RS Seat, over the RS9, and just wanted to get your thoughts. Looks like the second one you've had?
Hey mate! Im using only xl rs seat cause i find it the best in terms of size and comfort. Rs9 is a bit more firm and not for bigger guys like me :D only problem with xl rs and prime is that you need better toolset for add it to the rig as default tool is too big and doesnt fit under the seat

Turns out GT Omega don't ship to me in Western Australia (but do the rest of Australia) which is a bit disappointing, was literally trying to buy Prime and XL RS today and couldn't... So I'll be buying something else I guess.
For all guys from Germany, I bought my alu profile rig from Motedis.com. IMO the best and cheapest solution. 260€ for the small and about 500€ for the big one.
Hi Jardier, do you think you will be moving to triple monitor? Or do you think you prefer single curved?
Does the pedal plate flex at all when using load cell?
Two questions:
1. Is it solid enough for that DD wheel? The only reason I ask is they don't advertise support for it on the site
2. How is the pedal base? It looks a little flimsier than some other designs I've seen. Can it hold up to the 100kg+ potential force of some load cell pedals without flexing?
I'm only intending to start out with my current G29 but I'd like to get that consistent driving position every single time, my office chair is driving me nuts right now. Rig first, then pedals, then maybe a nice new wheel :D
I have dd1 wheel on it and its perfect as you can see from video and I did around 18hours of racing and all good from my side zero move.
About pedals im using v3 and there is no flex and not even close to any flex so i cant imagine what kind of pedals would make it. But thats my own opinion im no engineer 😂😅😅

All you see on the video was in package :) so pedal tray and mount for wheel and shifter
899 in 🇺🇸 . Seems too much for basic rig. Obutto revolution costs about the same and looks better.
Jardier hello look closely at your streams since 2020 and I like what you do I have some doubts, but I'm only going to ask you one, I have the fanatec's inverted pedals and I can't balance them in the "iracing" I open the joycalib and 65535 parameters appear brakes and even moving the tires always block, do you have any tips that can help me appreciated

Looks more like T-Slot profiles to me. I was shocked to hear the price of the entire thing... the materials probably only costs a 1/4 of the price
It looks to be 40mm base I-type slot 8 profile, just like Sim-Lab uses :)

HELP! are you using the XL-RS Simulator Seat? I want to purchase but I wasnt sure if that seat was compatible with the Prime cockpit.
Yeah using xl rs, had little trouble attaching it as seat has short sliders but made it happen on both my rigs :D but prepare sweat

@@maliciousclouds1614 As said I dont even know if GTO knows about it but XL seat has those rails "short" so they are really hard to attach to the rig, but if you have good tools its fine but might be a little fight :D I managed to put seat on both my rigs :D but you wanna destroy everything around while doing it

At the same price as a P1X, I’ll take a P1X thank you very much. The SimLab has a vastly better pedal plate, more accessories and better seat options. It’s great that GTOmega are giving it a go but this is too much for too little quality. Hopefully v2 will be significantly better.

I've been assembling mine today and I hit a brick wall trying to attach the XL RS seat to it. There's just no way to get the seat sliders forward or backward enough to be able to tighten the bolts, I've been trying for the last hour or so to get this thing tightened and it's just not happening :(
Do you have a right tools? Cause yeah i know that slider problem but i bought different tool which was in L shape and it worked well. But yeah its annoying :(

A very simple designed rig. So why did you stop using the CSW V2.5 and then jumped to the Direct Drive ?
I was using elite and my csw had firmware issue, then this rig preview came to my email so i waited and waited and waited and suddenly also dd1 came home :D
