It's AWFUL -- but it's also a lot more fun than he makes it sound. Barrabas is really wicked, but wickedly funny. "Sometimes I go about and poison wells" THe kind of villain you love to hate.. Brilliant play. Like Richard 3, but Barrabas is not a runty member of the royal family.... Marlowe was a great playwright.
