This the way English literature should be taught and heard.
0:50 "when your heart is consumed with regret and with fear, that's when you know hell is empty cause all the devils are here" #Word
this young woman is quite brilliant. A true artist in every sense. i've only recently d
I swear, I've played and replayed this almost a dozen times this morning. Found via another brilliant poet, Scroobius Pip. Beyond the brilliance of the verses themselves, her delivery of each line is simply stunning. The final line, "you know that hell is empty because all the devils are here," is spoken with such conviction and urgency I find myself rattled somewhat by it. Almost slightly frightened. Good on you Kate. Simply brilliant.
"all hell is empty cuz all the devils are here" was paraphrased from Shakespeare, "Areal" from the tempest I think, (excuse me for assuming ignorance if you already knew this) but yes I agree its a brilliant piece.
