FUCK YES this is gold. Cannot wait to catch this tomorrow in Grand Rapids, im gonna go bezerk. The Sun Sleeps, As if It Never was is a monumental achievement and sounds phenomenal live. Truly heart wrenching. Truly beautiful.
I understand the grind and all but cmon.... Dark, Hollow light, Halcyon, Secret Sun, Naturehold, Celestial Floods, (the list goes on) would of popped more and get the crowd moving. Sucks they only had 20 min. Hoping they have a better time slot next tour or even a headliner. One can hope. Stoked to see them in Norcal regardless
I hear ya but think about it. They’re probably never playing the ep live again (cept as an encore 🙏) and its sick they played it live in its entirety at all.
I agree, when I saw them in Nashville, no one even moved for the first two new songs. Celestial Floods or Naturehold would’ve been great to open with to get the crowd hype. Especially being band 1 of 4 with a short set. But they’ve always seemed to be a band that does exactly what they want artistically so I respect it. Great band, atmosphere they create is one of a kind.
As if it never was just doesn't gel with me in this set for 20 minutes showing the crowd what you got. Put halcyon or hollow light or white wolf in it's place
Trey is still in the band as a writer & studio drummer but he's not touring with them anymore (he's now a full time member of FFAK and they're one of the busiest bands around). Currently Luke from As Within, So Without is filling in.
New vocalist is so shaky live, but I can’t blame him. I can only blame his lack of live practice due to Covid. Instrumentalists are ON POINT! Guitars, bass, drums 👌🏽
He was pretty shaky pre-covid too. Last show I saw before lockdown was I,A, Silent Planet, and Currents in Seattle and I was most excited for Invent Animate. Even then I was pretty... unimpressed by his live vocals. I just wish he would at least just do a lower harmony or something instead of pressing into those notes he clearly can't sustain live. :/
@@pandoratypography yeah I absolutely love Marcus' studio work with Invent (Greyview is my favorite album of all time) but live performances are definitely not his strong suit even now after having the entire pandemic to work on it. Think part of it is definitely moving around too much and being out of breath.
Excelent quality, thanks for recording
Ive always seemed to miss these dudes for years now damn
Keaton Goldwire is a fucking legend!!

!!!!!!!!!!!
Soo true! It’s sad that they only have 20 minutes. 30 minuts would be minimal
bro big facts. sun sleeps and if it never was are too slow live, especially for an audience tht doesn't know them very well

I kind of agree. Hollow light would be so sick live, but i get that they wanted to play sun sleeps and never was back to back
As If It Never Was is much more of a banger than The Sun Sleeps so idk about that chief
Like the atmosphere that his created from As If It Never Was speaks more to me
4:20 he really is able to pull it off! I think he moves to much but when he’s more chill i think he will do a much better job
who is playing drums now I thought Trey said he was still in the band? just a touring fill in?

It's a shame too considering how spot on Ben was.
@@tylerbinning9883 Ben was on another level.
Just saw them in Chicago 2 weeks back. His Vocals have VASTLY improved since the beginning of the tour.
😬...
Only band I cared about on this tour. Glad I didn’t drive 3 hours for a 20 min set
Really sucks they got buried under Aussie bands
@@moodmusic4life Idiotic comment.
Marcus is out of breath the whole time. Just like previous videos I've seen. Glad I didn't drive 4 hours just for a 20 min half ass set.
He struggles a lot with the clean vocals too.
